To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 92: I should look at the price
Chapter 92 - I should look at the price
"Wait, hold on. I still need to thank your mom for the clothes." Yun-tae said.
"Oh, that's right." Chin-hwa said. "But where is he?" He looked up and Woo-bin said,
"He walked out just before you came down the stairs." He scratched the back of his neck. "Said something about going to meet you with Baek-Hyun." He pouted his lips. "It's not fair. Those two will probably go on a date without me again."
"Oh," Chin-hwa exclaimed and then turned to Yun-tae. "I guess you can thank him later."
This level of information had nothing to do with him. This was between his parents. They could figure things out themselves.
"Yeah, I guess so." Yun-tae said. "Maybe I should get him a present in return. Does he like sweets?"
"Who do you think I got my sweet tooth from?" Chin-hwa asked and laughed. "You're a fan of AAB, so you should know who has a sweet tooth in this house."
"Oh!" As soon as he realized it, Yun-tae laughed. "Then I'll get him something sweet on his way back."
"Yeah, and don't mind the cost." Chin-hwa said and displayed Woo-bin's legendary black card. "We'll pay with this."
The card was black but for some reason, it was sparkling. The power of money was at play.
"Thank you, but I feel I should get him something out of my own wallet." Yun-tae stubbornly said and Chin-hwa went silent.
Yun-Tae wasn't exactly the type to be so persistent on repayment and whatnot. But if he cherished the gift given to him, he would make sure to gift something in return.
It was a good practice but... He shouldn't go out of his way to get a return gift because no matter what he bought with the money out of his pocket... He would certainly never come close to the cost of what he was wearing.
"So, do you know how much this outfit cost?" Yun-tae asked and Chin-hwa glanced away.
'Your four years tuition fee, I guess.' he thought. 'But I can't tell him that.' he cleared his throat and shrugged. "I don't really know. My mommy gets them and I don't check the price tags either."
"I'll just check online." Yun-tae said, already scrolling through his phone and Chin-hwa covered the screen.
"Uh, wait." He said. "I don't think you should worry about the price." He smiled. "After all, it's the thought that matters."
Yun-tae was immediately bought over with those words and accepted the logic.
"Yeah, you're right. It's the thought that matters." He said, acting like he had given up on the quest to discover the price. "But I should still know so I don't get anything too cheap."
Chin-hwa palmed his face. Just what would he say to convince this one?
"Yun-Tae, you don't have to--"
The sound of a camera shuttle interrupted them and they looked up to find Woo-bin with a camera.
Seeing he had been caught, Woo-bin dropped it from his face and said,
"Oh, don't mind me. Continue what you were doing. I'm just going to take a few more pictures." He said and took one of their surprised faces.
"Where... Did he get that camera?"
Chin-hwa sighed.
"Everyone in this family has one." He said. "Since they don't know when I'll act 'cute' they keep a camera with them at all times."
"Really?"
"Yeah, but I haven't seen anyone carrying a camera around lately, so I didn't think he would take a picture out of nowhere." Chin-hwa said. "I hope you don't mind having your picture taken?"
"No. No, I don't mind at all." Yun-tae said. "If anything, it makes me excited to know my picture's being taken. But of course, I know I'm just in the shot it your picture. So, don't mind me."
"Well, that's true but I'm also taking a picture of you." Woo-bin said and took one more shot. "You're our Hwa's adorable friend after all."
Chin-hwa sighed and looked at Yun-tae's phone. Well, at least he wasn't paying attention to the price of his outfit anymore.
He'd try to talk him out of it later since he had no idea how he would react if he found out the actual price of what he was wearing.
"Then, shall we get going now?" Chin-hwa asked. "Daddy, did you pick up your car keys when you went to get your camera?"
Woo-bin displayed his car remote key with a smile and Chin-hwa nodded.
"Then, Yun, shall we get going?"
"Yeah, let's go."
They headed outside and got into Woo-bin's car but when Yun-tae placed his hand in his coat pocket, he felt a pack and an ointment tube, then he remembered something he had completely forgotten.
That guy that helped him when he fell in the bathroom.
After he left, Yun-tae started feeling the ankle he had twisted. He hissed, wishing he had an instant refliex pack to get rid of the pain right away when the door opened a little and a little first aid box was placed on the door.
"Please, use this." It was the same guy.
He pushed the box with his leg while keeping his body outside the room to avoid being seen or looking inside.
Yun-tae pressed his lips shut, wondering what would happen after that but he shut the door after pushing far enough and saying,

"I hope your ankle feels better."
Yun-tae crawled to the edge of the bed and then picked up the first aid box. It had virtual instructions upon opening and he saw that it had two instant relief packs and an ointment.
The virtual instructions said to use the instant relief first and then after five minutes, remove and apply the ointment.
Instant relief packs were very expensive but very effective. It worked for twisted and sprained parts of the body, bringing instant relief as the name entailed.
But in case of a rough aftermath, an ointment was always placed next to it. Apply the ointment once you remove the instant relief pack.
Yun-tae was grateful and was glad that he wouldn't go around leaping. Well, he guessed the house must be stocked with a lot of instant relief packs since they were rich enough to buy as much as they wanted.
And it was first-hand healing of sprains.
Thanks to that, Yun-tae was able to walk freely after five minutes of application. He was really grateful. But he wondered if his employers knew that he gave him two packs, though he hadn't used the second yet.
For some reason, he carried the second relief pack with him. Maybe he was hoping to return it if he saw the guy again but it completely slipped his mind after he saw the outfit he brought for him.
Now, Yun-tae was more than curious about who he was.
"Um, about that helper in your house," Yun-tae spoke up and Chin-hwa turned to him.
"What helper?"
"Well, you probably have tons of them, so you don't know the specific one I'm talking about, but he's male, tall, and..."
"Wait, hold on, Yun-tae." Chin-hwa stopped him. "We don't have helpers." He said.
"Huh?"
"Well, we do. But the kind of helpers we have are the ones who come to do extensive and intensive cleaning once a month. But most of the time, we use the robots in our basement for that task." Chin-hwa explained. "Everyone cooks in the house, so we don't have cooks; the dishes are done by the dishwasher robot. And the cleaning robot takes care of the sweeping. So, which helper are you talking about?"
'Ah, so rich people use robots.' Yun-tae thought. 'Well, that makes sense. Robots are super expensive but are very convenient so I have never really seen one before. And they rarely use theirs so...' he shook his head. His thoughts had gone off track again.
What he needed to be focusing on was the fact that there were no helpers in the house at present.
"Then... Who was that guy?" He asked, gulping as he felt he had come across someone possibly dangerous.
Maybe a spy?
"What guy, Yun?" Chin-hwa asked and Yun-tae clapped his cheeks. There was a guy. There was definitely a guy and he did not belong to their family.
He did not hallucinate it and the relief pack in his pocket was proof.
Woo-bin glanced at him from the rearview mirror and asked,
"Did you meet anyone when you went to take your bath, kid?" He asked and Yun-tae nodded. "Hm, did you see their face?"
"No, I..." Yun-tae's face flushed as he remembered the circumstances they had to meet.
"What was he doing there?"
"He said he brought my outfit." Yun-tae answered, hoping he wouldn't have to answer anymore.
"Then, did he do anything to you?" Woo-bin asked. "Did he disrespect you or anything like that?"
"No," Yun-tae immediately answered and realized he had been too loud, so he reduced his volume and said, "I mean, he didn't do anything offensive. He was kind, polite, and helped me." As soon as he said that, his eyes widened.
Oh no, what if they asked how he helped him?
But his fear did not come to pass as Woo-bin turned on the car engine.
"Well, you have nothing to worry about. He's an acquaintance." He said.
