To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 182: But can you put me down?

Woo-bin tapped his feet furiously and kept biting his thumb. He was anxious and worried. Just why was their heat taking so long?

They say one can never be too prepared. So, he has put a little sound detector in Chin-hwa and Kang-woo’s bathroom. He never expected them to actually go into heat on the cruise but just in case... And since he didn’t know which room they would use... He put the sound detector in both bathrooms.

He wished he could avoid it but it was too bad things had to go this way.

As soon as he got back from meeting with Baek-Hyun and Hae-won, he found out Chin-hwa was missing. He wasn’t in his room and his scent lingered towards Baek-Hyun’s room.

He gritted his teeth and slammed the side of his fist on the wall. Curses. He could’ve stopped it but he wasn’t able to.

Now... His baby was going to get owned.

They were able to tell when Chin-hwa and Kang-woo were taking a bath and during that time, he had quickly mobilized the cleaners to the room to take off the soiled sheets as well as clean up the floors a bit.

He refused to have his baby suffer in an inconvenient environment for days.

They were swift and left after changing the sheets and cleaning up a bit. Kang-woo and Chin-hwa did not realize this early as their heads were still in the clouds but gradually, they began to notice it.

Now, Woo-bin was sure it was over, yet they weren’t coming out. How long did they plan to make him wait?

Then, Hae-won dropped his hand on Woo-bin’s shoulder and he looked up.

"I get you’re worried. We all are, but you’re stressing out a lot, and it’s making the rest of us even more anxious," Hae-won said. "Wanna loosen up a bit? Being like this won’t hurry them up, you know."

"I know but..." He clicked his tongue and then sighed to let go of his frustration. "Let’s have ice cream."

"Sounds good." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

But just as he stood up, ready to follow Hae-won to go have ice cream, Chin-hwa and Kang-woo finally came out.

There was no one faster than him as he ran towards Chin-hwa and scooped him off his feet.

Chin-hwa was taken aback by how his father suddenly lifted him. It was just like how Kang-woo carried him.

"Daddy?" Chin-hwa called.

"Hwa, my baby, are you alright? Are you hurting anywhere? Do you feel hungry? Should I get you something to eat? Or would you rather sleep? I can take you to your room now and..."

"Pft," Chin-hwa laughed. "I missed you too, daddy."

Woo-bin heard that and got teary-eyed.

"My Hwa," he hugged him. "I missed you a lot too, baby. We all did. And we were also very worried."

"I can tell," Chin-hwa said. "But can you put me down? It’s rather uncomfortable like this."

Woo-bin agreed but then his eyes fell on the red spots all over Chin-hwa’s neck, which was probably trailing down to the rest of his body.

His beloved Hwa had been devoured by a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

He shot a glare at Kang-woo who looked rather awkward.

"Good to see you’re no longer ’drowning’ in the least." Woo-bin said, folding his arms as he stared in dissatisfaction.

Even if he knew they would get to this point no matter what, he just couldn’t get used to it.

"Thank you for your guidance, sir," he bowed his head but Woo-bin decided to be petty and threw his gaze away.

"Hmph,"

"Don’t mind him," Ga-ram said to Kang-woo. "He’s acting like that now but he’s been very worried for you two."

"Mom," Kang-woo called softly and Ga-ram caressed his face.

His skin was practically glowing.

"I won’t ask how it was because that would just be plain out weird." Ga-ram said and laughed. "Rather, there’s one thing I’d like to ask,"

It seemed like what Ga-ram was going to ask had been a topic of discussion so as soon as he said that, everyone paid attention to him.

"Did you do it?" He asked, quite vaguely. "Did you mark Chin-hwa?"

Hearing that question, Chin-hwa and Kang-woo lowered their heads for a brief moment before nodding their heads.

Seeing this, Woo-bin felt his spine crack. Why was everything so predictable? Couldn’t they just have gone through the heat without imprinting on each other?

This was a nightmare. Now his Hwa was no longer just his Hwa.

"Did you do it without realizing it? Were you compelled to do it due to the situation, and you couldn’t stop yourself?"

"No, I..."

"I asked him to do it." Chin-hwa spoke up. "I wanted it, to be precise."

"And what about you?" Ga-ram asked. "Did you mark him as well?"

Chin-hwa nodded, his face flushing lightly.

Well, since that was the case, there was nothing to worry about.

Suddenly, Hae-won clapped his hands and said,

"I think that’s about it for the questions. The kids just came back from such a hectic ’exercise’ so let’s give them time to relax and eat some food. My baby’s thinned out already," he said, grabbing Chin-hwa’s cheeks. "Don’t worry, this mother’s got you covered. I’ll feed you till you’re full."

In that space, the only people missing were Tae-won, Baek-Hyun, He-Nari and Deok-ryu.

It looked like they went to take care of things in the office, as well as news that had to do with how they humiliated the president and beat his son half-dead during the Christmas party.

There wasn’t much backlash but there were still some issues they needed to take care of.

During the waiting period, He-Nari also got a chance to talk with his father, Tae-won, and they cleared the misunderstanding.

He had no plans of giving the company to Kang-woo in the first place. It was just He-Nari’s misunderstanding that led to that argument.

It wasn’t like Kang-woo wanted the company anyway. They had no idea but he had already planned his future with Hwa and anything that would cause him to be away from Chin-Hwa for too long... He had struck it out. And that was why he was going to be working in the same industry as him no matter what.
