To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 100: Is something wrong?
Chapter 100 - Is something wrong?
(Happy 100 Chapters! Hooray. I'm so glad we all made it this far)
Yun-tae was allowed to get off work since he wasn't feeling okay. The pheromones he had taken in weren't just normal harsh dominating Alpha pheromones, it was rut pheromones and such a thing could force an Omega into heat.
Thankfully, he didn't inhale a lot of it. But it got to the point that he couldn't move his body so it was still something to worry about.
Though Yun-tae did not know what had happened in the booth afterward, he knew it wasn't anything good since the police were called.
And he was also advised to go see the doctor, which he shrugged off because he felt fine.
He walked for a while but then stopped, raised his head, and asked,
"Do you plan to follow me home?" He turned and saw the face of the man who had saved him earlier.
He was smiling and even waved.
"Would you believe it if I told you I'm just going in the same direction as you, and I don't want to get too close so you wouldn't be weary of me?"
Yun-tae stayed silent. Well, he could be telling the truth. But it didn't hurt to be cautious.
"Then, walk by my side instead of behind me. It makes me feel uneasy," he said and Myung-woo gladly picked up the pace till he was standing next to him.
"How's your ankle?" He suddenly asked.
"Oh, it's fi--" Yun-tae paused. Wait, how did he know that he sprained his ankle? "You..."
"You looked like you couldn't walk earlier so I thought you might've sprained it." Myung-woo said, dispelling Yun-tae's suspicion.

"Oh," he exclaimed. "It's fine. I didn't sprain it." He said. "I just felt weak in the knees, is all."
"I'm glad you were safe." He said and Yun-tae nodded.
"Yes, it's a bit late but..." He raised his head and looked at Myung-woo's face. "Thank you for saving me."
"Thank you for not being stubborn and accepting my help." Myung-woo said in response. "It saved us both a lot of trouble."
"You know, most people just say 'you're welcome' and get done with it." Yun-tae said, prompting Myung-woo to laugh.
"Well, I'm not most people." He said. "And for some reason, it feels especially refreshing to tease you."
Yun-tae suddenly stopped walking and Myung-woo also stopped after taking a few steps ahead. He turned to him and asked,
"Is something wrong?"
"Ah, it's coming back to me." Yun-tae said, grabbing the beanie on his head. "I think I'm starting to remember where I heard your voice,"
Myung-woo gulped. Guess he had figured it out.
"But, does it matter?" He asked, interrupting Yun-tae from making a full recollection. "Each time I meet you, I have to admit, I take a different role altogether."
"What does that mean?" Yun-tae asked.
He had already confirmed that they had met before now with what Myung-woo said but he wasn't sure if he was the same person he was thinking about.
That person spoke smartly and was gentle with him. Really gentle. But this person was equally gentle.
When he thought back to how Myung-woo carried him in the bar and how that person carried him in the bathroom, it was the same.
They both held him carefully as though he was a breakable object that, if they held too tightly, would break.
So, was he the same person or not? He gulped. If he was, then he had so many questions to ask,
"Yun-tae," Myung-woo called his name and walked towards him, reaching his hand towards his face.
He successfully held his face since Yun-tae did not evade his touch, and he gently brushed his cheek with his thumb.
Yun-tae was confused as to why he hadn't evaded his touch. This person was a stranger, so why was he letting him do whatever he wanted?
But judging by the fact that he knew his name, he probably knew him.
"Do you know I've committed my whole life to saving you?" Myung-woo asked, confusing Yun-tae.
"What? I don't understand."
"We've met before, not once, not twice, we've met on so many occasions, and though most times you never actually 'see' me, and it breaks my heart." He spoke softly with a pained voice. "After the first day we met, I swore to myself that I would become yours."
"Wait, wait, hold on." Yun-tae said. "Are you confessing to me right now?" He asked. "I don't even know who you are."
"And that is what pains me most." He said, his gaze falling slowly. "But no matter, when the time comes, I'm sure you'll come to know me. You will..." He moved his lips slowly toward Yun-tae's ear and whispered, "...see me."
With that, he planted a soft kiss on Yun-tae's cheek, startling Yun-tae. And before Yun-tae could react, he stepped back, smiling brightly.
"I'll take that instead of the drink you promised." He said. "So, till the next time we meet."
"Wait, hold on. How could you just kiss my cheek like that?" Yun-tae asked, slowly getting angry as he pressed his hand to his cheek.
"Because I knew if I stole a kiss from your lips, you would hate me." He said. "And I don't want you to hate me, Yun-tae."
Yun-tae's name sounded so sweet coming from his mouth that it made his heart warm.
But Yun-tae honestly couldn't get what he was after or what all that stuff he was talking about was. So he decided to chase after him until he explained to him who exactly he was and why he would dare kiss his cheek, but then his phone rang so he had to look away for a second.
It was his roommate calling and by the time he raised his gaze, Myung-woo was already gone. He had not even gotten his name.
What he should've been feeling was anger and disgust at a strange handsome man suddenly kissing his cheek, but his heart was thumping warmly instead.
And when he thought about it, the pheromones that lingered around him, he could remember the guy who helped him out of the bathroom.
So, were they the same person or not?
"Hello," he answered his roommate's call only to hear he had gotten a delivery. "What?! A huge delivery for me? But I didn't order anything."
He decided to rush to his dorm, and there he could find three boxes. Two large ones and one medium size.
He looked carefully at the receipt stamped to the box and it had his name on it. He got curious and opened it, only to find a comfy blanket and a bunch of other things including plushies that looked like the ones on Chin-hwa's bed.
There was a note attached to it saying,
"I hope you sleep as comfortably as you did this morning."
It was clear that the sender was someone from Chin-hwa's house but... Who was it?
