Tiny Genius Alert! Mom & Dad Better Make Peace-Chapter 383 - 364: It’s Obvious That Mr. Rong Really Likes You
Jin Jumo saw him come downstairs and quickly stood up from the sofa. "Brother."
Mu Qinnian, without expression, responded with a "hmm" and walked over to sit on the sofa.
Jin Jumo glanced towards the third floor. Yue Jingcheng stood there and nodded slightly to her.
Jin Jumo breathed a sigh of relief, pursed her lips, and sat down beside Mu Qinnian, looking at him and calling softly again, "Brother."
Mu Qinnian slightly tilted his head to stare at her.
Jin Jumo gently pinched the corner of Mu Qinnian’s shirt with one hand, her voice lowered further, "It takes only half a day to get from Z City to Country C. I will bring Xixi Hanhan home for a short stay when I have time. This sudden return is really because I am worried about my friend. I also hate to leave Brother."
Mu Qinnian looked at Jin Jumo for a moment and then reached out to rub Jin Jumo’s short hair. "I understand."
Jin Jumo’s eyes widened, not quite understanding as she looked at Mu Qinnian.
Mu Qinnian’s furrowed brows relaxed, and he patted Jin Jumo’s head. "You are leaving tomorrow. Your sister-in-law just told me that she can’t bear to let you and the two kids go. Take Xixi and Hanhan upstairs to be with your sister-in-law for a while."
Jin Jumo felt a bit confused and looked up towards the third floor.
"Come on."
Yue Jingcheng waved to her.
Jin Jumo lowered her eyelashes. Although there was doubt in her heart, she still stood up from the sofa, glanced at someone, and went upstairs with Xixi and Hanhan.
The third floor, Mu Qinnian and Yue Jingcheng’s room.
Yue Jingcheng had a gentle, slight smile on her brows, quietly watching Xixi and Hanhan continue to piece together puzzles they had brought upstairs for a while before looking up at Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo was somewhat uneasy about Mu Qinnian and Rong Mochen being alone together, so though she was physically in the room, her mind had flown downstairs.
Suddenly, the back of her hand was lightly patted, and Jin Jumo was a bit startled as she raised her eyes to look at Yue Jingcheng.
Yue Jingcheng looked at Jin Jumo’s restless face and raised her eyebrows. "Stop worrying unnecessarily. Can your brother possibly eat your Mr. Rong?"
It was rare for Yue Jingcheng to joke, and Jin Jumo was a bit unaccustomed, yet she couldn’t help but pull at the corner of her mouth.
Indeed, wasn’t she just worrying needlessly?
The worst situation downstairs would be the two getting into a fight again.
When rivals meet, neither is bound to gain the upper hand!
Thinking of this, Jin Jumo’s tense heart instantly relaxed, and she reached for Yue Jingcheng’s hand. "Jingcheng, thank you just now."
Yue Jingcheng shrugged her shoulders. "When Young Master Mu gets angry, no one isn’t afraid."
"Are you afraid too?"
"Scared!"
Yue Jingcheng laughed, "Afraid to death!"
Jin Jumo stared at Yue Jingcheng’s calm and distant smile, unsure whether her words were joking or heartfelt.
Yue Jingcheng lowered her chin, "You’re leaving tomorrow, and I have nothing special to give you. Take this."
Yue Jingcheng removed an exquisite bracelet from her wrist and, without giving Jin Jumo a chance to refuse, placed it on her slender white wrist.
Holding her hand, Yue Jingcheng looked at it and smiled at Jin Jumo. "Just like I imagined, it looks great."
Now that it was already on, Jin Jumo couldn’t very well take it off and happily accepted it. "It’s very pretty. I like it."
Yue Jingcheng’s bright eyes moved slightly, tilting her head, and for a moment, a hint of mischief and liveliness overflowed from her eyes. "You don’t mind that I wore it before?"
"The first time I saw you, I noticed this chain on your wrist. You’ve worn it every day, so you must have liked it a lot. Yet, you gave it to me. What reason do I have to dislike such a gift?" Jin Jumo blinked at her.
Yue Jingcheng smiled, her face slightly reddening, "You noticed."
Jin Jumo curved her lips, "Jingcheng, next time come to Z City with my brother. I’ll take you out to play and buy gifts for you, okay?"
"Okay." Yue Jingcheng said so, but her eyes were too calm, as if answering casually without really meaning it.
Jin Jumo furrowed her brow and stared at her.
Yue Jingcheng squinted slightly, her face turning somewhat unnatural as she shifted away, changing the subject, "It’s clear that Mr. Rong really likes you, Momo, you will be very happy."
Jin Jumo froze, looking sideways at her suddenly somewhat distant face, frowning deeper, "My brother also really likes you. As long as you’re around, my brother’s eyes are only on you."
Yue Jingcheng’s face suddenly stiffened, sitting in a daze for a while, and a pale smile slipped from her mouth, but she said nothing.
These days, Jin Jumo felt that the way Mu Qinnian and Yue Jingcheng interacted seemed strange, but she attributed it to the differences in each couple’s interaction. Now, that strange feeling couldn’t be simply described as a difference.
Jin Jumo looked at Yue Jingcheng in her daze and also fell into silence.
Jin Jumo stayed in Yue Jingcheng’s room until about ten o’clock. Xixi and Hanhan were already sleepy, and Mu Qinnian and Rong Mochen finally came upstairs together.
Seeing Jin Jumo, Mu Qinnian just reached out to ruffle her hair without saying anything, and then let them return to their rooms to rest.
In the room on the second floor, Jin Jumo helped Xixi Hanhan wash up and bathe. Watching the two little ones fall asleep, she picked up her pajamas and headed towards the bathroom.
Rong Mochen was showering, and upon seeing Jin Jumo enter, a hint of helplessness flashed in his dark eyes. He reached out and turned the water temperature from cold to hot.
Jin Jumo’s gaze swiftly passed over his strong and slender body, her ears turning an unreasonable shade of red.
Rong Mochen raised an eyebrow and stepped forward, taking her pajamas from her hands and hanging them on a hook outside the shower. Then, he picked Jin Jumo up in his arms and carried her into the shower.
The clothes on her body were removed one by one by him. Pressed closely against him with a flushed face, Jin Jumo lowered her head, "What were you and my brother talking about downstairs? It took quite a while."
Rong Mochen poured shower gel into his palm, rubbed it onto her smooth skin, his long black eyelashes hanging low. His voice was especially hoarse and alluring in the warm mist, "Your brother is worried you’ll be bullied, so he threatened me. He said if I don’t treat you well, he’ll take you away, and the child too."
"Uh..." Jin Jumo lifted her head from his chest, her peach blossom eyes misty and sparkling, "Really?"
Rong Mochen fixed his gaze on her rosy lips and bent down to peck them lightly, "Yes."
Jin Jumo wrapped her arms around his waist, "Then why didn’t you two end up fighting?"
Rong Mochen chuckled hoarsely, "How do you know we didn’t fight?"
Jin Jumo playfully pinched his waist, "I’m serious, don’t joke around."
Rong Mochen’s dark eyes deepened slightly, yet he refused to reveal anything to Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo persisted for a while, but she couldn’t extract any useful information from him. Tired from the effort, she leaned against him, letting him wash her body, closed her eyes lazily, and said nothing more.
Seeing she was tired, Rong Mochen furrowed his brows and quickly washed the soap off them both. He put on a bathrobe, cradled her in his arms, and carried her out of the bathroom.
Gently placing Jin Jumo on the bed beside Xixi and Hanhan, he was just about to withdraw his arms and rise when his neck was embraced by two soft arms.
Rong Mochen was slightly stunned, looking down at the small woman beneath him.
Jin Jumo’s long eyelashes fluttered twice, slowly opening a sliver, her voice thick with sleepiness, "In the future, will you bully me?"
Rong Mochen frowned, lowered his lips to kiss her ear, "I won’t bully you, I’ll cherish you, cherish you to the core."
"Heh." Jin Jumo chuckled, then released her arms, allowing herself to drift into a peaceful sleep.
Rong Mochen propped himself up slightly, gazing at Jin Jumo’s serene little face. The indulgence in his dark eyes almost overflowed, a barely audible sigh slipped through the room, "Fool."
Gu Yan’s efficiency was incredibly high. At six in the morning, he called, saying the helicopter had already landed in Indonesia, ready to take off at any time.
In the early stages of pregnancy, Jin Jumo was extremely sleepy, and Xixi and Hanhan were also reluctant to wake up.
So, after receiving Gu Yan’s call, Rong Mochen’s first challenge was to wake these three little piggies up.
After a hard struggle getting everyone up, Rong Mochen unfortunately became the "public enemy."
Even Xixi, who usually clung to him, looked at him with various resentful and dissatisfied eyes.
Though Jin Jumo did not overtly show dissatisfaction, she just wouldn’t speak to him.
As for Hanhan, there’s no need to mention — his little face was as dark as Bao Gong, with two eyebrows raised, occasionally shooting cold glances.
Rong Mochen rubbed his forehead, exhausted to the point of losing verbal abilities!
This was enough to foresee someone’s future ranking in the household hierarchy.
At the entrance of the villa, Mu Qinnian didn’t know if it was because of waking up grumpy or what, but his face was so dark it seemed like ink would drip out.
Rong Mochen had already taken Xixi and Hanhan to the car.
Standing outside the car, Jin Jumo looked at Mu Qinnian, unwilling to part, "Brother, I’m leaving."
Upon hearing Jin Jumo speak, Mu Qinnian’s expression slightly softened, yet he still looked like someone not to mess with, "Call me when you arrive."
"Okay." Jin Jumo nodded and suddenly stepped forward to hug Mu Qinnian.
Mu Qinnian was taken aback, but the coldness in his eyes finally softened. He sighed lightly and gently hugged her, his chin resting on the crown of her head, "Brother will visit you in Z City whenever he has time. Remember, Little Mo, as long as brother is here."
"I know." Jin Jumo’s eyes were somewhat moist, the sadness brought by the separation exceeded all previous times Mu Qinnian returned to Country C from Z City, perhaps due to the early pregnancy depression.
Seeing Jin Jumo still clinging to him, unwilling to let go, a faint smile of helplessness appeared at the corner of Mu Qinnian’s lips, as he reached out to touch her head, "Alright, it’s not like you won’t see me again. If you keep this up, brother won’t let you go, hmm?"
Jin Jumo exhaled, let go of Mu Qinnian, and turned to Yue Jingcheng standing gracefully beside him, "Jingcheng, I leave my brother in your hands."
Yue Jingcheng’s eyebrows carried a smile, she did not answer, but stepped forward to hug her, "Take good care of the baby in your belly. I’ll visit you and the baby when you’re giving birth."
"It’s a deal." Jin Jumo laughed, returning the hug.
Yue Jingcheng’s eyes swirled gently, her voice so low it was almost inaudible within a few steps, "Alright."
"Uncle, Aunt, Xixi really doesn’t want to leave you." Xixi poked her small head out from the window, frowning, looking sorrowfully at Mu Qinnian and Yue Jingcheng.
Mu Qinnian’s lips curved upward, even his icy face was melted by Xixi, his deep eyes exuding affection. He stepped forward to lightly ruffle Xixi’s little head, "Then how about Xixi stays, to keep Uncle and Aunt company?"
