Mana arrow wwa still only at level 1, he had no idea how powerful it was but he was going to find out soon.

The good thing was his archery has finally broke through and reached level 10. It seemed for a skill to reach level 10 you must create or learn a mana based technique related to it.

He had no idea how that would work with hawk eyes though, it was a mana based ability itself to begin with, he chose to forget about it for now.

From his hiding place he could see the scorpion still searching for him. He took a deep breath.

His eyes focused and he released the arrow, it flew like a blue streak and struck the scorpion dead on.

Like the previous arrows it failed to pierce all the way through but unlike them it left a dent on it armour.

This was the first time he had caused any form of damage on the scorpion, it was not much but it still gave him hope.

That move revealed his position to it, he jumped to the side and the metal pole he was hiding behind was struck by it spike.

The spike actually pierced through the thick metal pole. Akaris was certain those spikes had more power than an armour piercing rifle.

If he got hit he would die, he ran and jumped behind a large machine just in time do dodge it second strike.

He heard it running towards him, it pointy spear like legs causing clicking noises everywhere it went.

Hiding was not an option so he stood up and ran while using the machinery and pillars in this building to dodge it spike attacks.

In the meantime he was using mana arrow, all he needed to do was draw his bowstring and concentrate his mana there.

The arrow would then form itself, the process lasted five seconds which was a long time.

The scorpion only needed two seconds to load another spike, he was at an obvious disadvantage here.

He jumped sideways facing the scorpion, it had just fired a spike and he has two seconds to respond.

It was startled by his move and he shot the arrow.

It hit the scorpion right on the face leaving a tiny crack on it armour. It screeched in rage and pounced on him.

He rolled on the ground and jumped down to the first floor, the fall was about 14 metres, not too hard when he was enhancing his body with mana.

It jumped after him but he grabbed into a horizontal metal pole and swung himself like a gymnast.

The scorpion missed him by a few centimetres and crashed in the ground floor below destroying some large tin drums.

He kicked off that pole and jumped four metres into the second floor again, by the time it collected itself he was already hiding.

The drums had some dark oily substance that looked a bit like unrefined oil, it spilled all over the scorpion including it antennas.

That disoriented it, confusing it senses and made it harder for it to track him. Akaris grinned.

His nose told him that substance was definitely some type of oil and oil was flamable.

It ran in circles, shook it antennas to clean them and even used it scythes to clean them almost cutting them off.

He watched it while preparing his mana arrow, this thing drew a lot of mana from him, he didn’t know how large his mana pool was but he could feel the arrow taking a large portion of it.

Five seconds later the arrow was constructed. He used hawk eyes actively, his eyesight grew so clear he could see it minor movements.

He aimed his arrow on it back and released, the arrow hit the scorpion at an angle, instead of piercing through it bounced off.

With his level 10 archery, doing something like this was not hard at all. When the arrow bounced off the hard carapace, sparks flew.

The sound of clashing metal echoed through the large machinery then flames bloomed like flowers.

The scorpion was ignited, it screeched and ran around trying to put out the flames. Akaris drew his bow again.

The scorpion started running towards door trying to run into the rain outside. Future sight.

He saw it reach the door through future sight and released his arrow a second earlier. It was in no state to pay mind to him so it did not see the arrow.

It ran straight to it and by the time it noticed it was already too late. The arrow pierced straight through it eye.

The softest part of it body, it screeched loudly and blood poured out it eye. It used it scythes to try and cut off the arrow.

The mana arrow dissolved into energy on it own however it had done it job. It has pierced deeply into it head almost reaching the brain.

The scorpion ran out while bleeding and in flames. Akaris ran to the small window on the second floor if this building.

Through it he saw the scorpion thrashing and rolling through the rain. The heavy rain was putting out the fire.

He pulled the bow once more and waited, five seconds passed and the arrow formed completely.

However he poured more mana into it, it grew darker and darker yet he did not stop and almost poured all of his remaining mana into it.

When he was done the arrow had turned dark blue. He had expected a notification for a new skill but none came but there was good news

( Mana arrow has reached level 5) He grinned and released. The arrow surpassed the speed of sound yet there was no sonic booms.

It pierced through the bleeding eye hole faster than the scorpion could react and reached it brain.

The massive body stood still for a split second then fell down with a thud.

( Killed level 9 Juvenile Silent Hunter Demon, experience gained.) He sighed a deep sigh of relief.
