Thrusted into a world ruled by women-Chapter 30: Itβs go time
Jin nearly choked on his food. He glared at Addison, who couldnβt muster the courage to look back at him. πππππ°π²π―π»ππππΉ.ππ¨π
"If you donβt mind me asking. Why do you think Iβm marrying your daughter?"
"She proposed to you, did she not?"
Jin didnβt know if he would call what she did a proposal. "More like, barging into my room and saying that she acknowledges me and I would make a good husband, so she will make me one."
"Pwahahahahaha! Oh, Addy, you have no game at all! I donβt even know how you managed to convince him to have dinner with us." Allison was crying from laughter.
"Honestly, Addy, you could have-
"-Just asked us how to talk to a boy if you were that serious."
Jin had twin siblings in many of his lives, but the echoing of each other always got to him. Like, how the hell do you know what your twin is going to say?
"Jin is not like normal boys. You all are into beauty care and looking nice. Jin likes martial arts and science. He didnβt even like the flowers I gave him today, Mother." Addison said that with pride, trying to make it seem like she actually knew what Jin liked.
"Really? Flowers usually work with men."
Jin shrugged. "Meh, itβs the thought that counts."
"Ohh, you got a keeper, Addison. Hahah!" Allison was still cracking up, barely touching her food.
"Jin, youβre into science? What do you study in school?" Dan wondered.
"Quantum Engineering." He answered.
"Wow. Thatβs amazing! I didnβt know they taught that at the institute!"
"They donβt. I study it on my own. I modified my power kit because the technology was lacking. I built a supercomputer in it and a lot more."
"Jin, please, donβt start. Dad will nerd out if you continue! He can talk for days!" Addison pleaded.
"Itβs passion, my sweet." Dan continued eating.
"Jin. Would you like a job at my company?" Adeline asked. The fact that he thought the power kits, which were constructed by her company, were lacking, she knew that his mind would be revolutionary.
"No thanks. Iβm not interested in working harder than I need to. I can, however, send you of ideas I had for many types of devices and machines. Youβd have to buy it, though, and give me lifetime royalties."
Adeline liked Jinβs boldness and how upfront he was. "We can make that happen. Iβd have to see your ideas first."
"Set a time and date." Jin had no problem sharing what he had learned over many lifetimes. Hording the information wasnβt going to do anything. Besides, he could earn a shit ton of money and live comfortably.
For the next few hours, Jin and Addisonβs family continued their dinner, eventually turning into dessert and family fun activities. The night was a blast, and Jin had a great time. Eventually, it was time for him to head home, and the driver dropped him off.
"Time to be a super spy."
---
"Youβre late." Addison was waiting for Jin on the roof of Bellmire Corporation.
"Sorry that my house is far away from your parentsβ company."
"Are you being sarcastic?"
"What do you think?"
"Hmm. You see that box over there?" Addison pointed to a power box high on a wall some feet away from them.
"Yeah."
"It supplies power to the cameras in this wing. I can take them out, but the guards will notice, and a team will be sent to find out what happened."
"Donβt worry about that. I got this." Angling his left arm in front of him, A screen appeared in front of Jin, and he started doing sciency shit.
"What are you doing? You canβt hack into a power box."
"No, but I can mess with the electrical signals it produces, making it look like the box overloaded on its own. However, instead of completely destroying the box, Iβll have it make the breaker go off instead."
As he finished speaking, the box made a low humming sound, and all of the cameras shut off temporarily.
"Wow, youβre smart. Hang on." Addison waited for a guard to step outside to check out the power, and she quickly flew into the building before the door behind her closed.
"We need to be quick. The cameras will turn back on soon."
"Iβm way ahead of you." Jin tapped a button on his gauntlet, and the cameras in the next hall were scrambled. "Letβs go."
Both of them started flying, making their way to the part of the building where all the records were kept. Addison led the way since she knew where to go, and Jin made sure no one spotted them.
"There, straight ahead is the records room." At the end of the hall, guarded by multiple women, was the records room. There were also cameras above them, which would make it difficult to get past.
"Sweet, turn us invisible."
Addison had to make sure she heard Jin correctly. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"What do you mean βwhat do I meanβ? Can you not turn yourself invisible?"
"No? Why would I be able to?"
Jin nearly lost it. She had the power to control energy, yet she couldnβt turn herself invisible? That had to be a joke.
"Okay, Addison. Reflect light off us so it appears as if we arenβt here."
She didnβt even know what that meant. "How would I even do that?"
"Oh lord."
Jin tapped his ear, and his helmet wrapped around his head. He scanned the uniforms the guards wore and the cameras. He changed the wavelength of the camera to connect to the tech of the suit, and shortened the suits of the guards, which then short-circuited the camera.
In the process, the guards were knocked out by the electrical shock.
"Letβs go."
"Whoa! What did you do?" Addison could feel what Jin did, but she didnβt understand it.
"I made it seem like the guardβs uniforms malfunctioned and blew out the camera. When someone comes to investigate, they wonβt see any tampering with the camera system."
Addison started to like Jin more and more. "Genius."
"Now, letβs see what those bastards stole."
