Chapter 1642: Chapter 1642: Not Suitable for Children

Coming back to his senses, Adam Ross let out a light chuckle.

He was planning to change the topic, but when he saw Justin Battleson walking in, he mischievously curled his lips.

"But... how about joining me to go back to the Ross Family?"

"Me?"

Charlotte Thompson was somewhat taken aback by Adam’s sudden words, her expression showing a bit of confusion.

"Yes, our old man really likes you, dreams about having you marry into our family. You are also the mother of Jack and Chad. Being with me... you won’t lose out."

Adam looked at Charlotte with a beaming smile, even extending his hand as if making an oath.

"And I promise, I won’t fool around or do anything to betray you."

Saying this, Adam glanced over at Justin, his exaggerated expression clearly showing he was joking.

"So, what do you think? Want to consider it? I’m rich, tall, and handsome. Marrying me won’t do you any harm."

When Justin walked over, this was the line he heard from Adam.

He even saw Adam lean a bit closer to Charlotte, causing Justin’s face to darken instantly.

Charlotte slightly furrowed her brows. Though she knew it was a joke, she still prepared to refuse.

However, just as she opened her mouth, she suddenly felt her whole body become lighter. By the time she realized it, she found herself being hoisted onto Justin’s shoulder.

This move stunned not only Adam but also the kids in the living room.

"Justin!"

Charlotte had never experienced such a thing before, especially in front of the kids, which immediately made her pale face flush with red.

Feeling the kids’ eyes on her, Charlotte felt like she was drowning in embarrassment.

Quickly reacting, Adam turned around to block the kids’ view.

"This scene isn’t suitable for children; kids, don’t look!"

"Dad, are you deliberately trying to stir up trouble between Dad and Mom?" Jack looked up at Adam, showing a bit of discontent.

"Nonsense, your dad here is thinking about their happiness," Adam quickly defended himself, though his words earned him some skeptical looks from the kids.

"Isn’t it you who said your Dad and Mom have been in a cold war for a long time? Now, by stimulating a conflict between them, they’ll express their feelings and naturally clear up misunderstandings," Adam said, spreading his hands.

"But what if Dad and Mom argue even more? What then?" Hank asked, stretching his neck.

"No way, I’ve known your Dad for many years. I understand his character very well. Don’t worry, I say your Dad and Mom will reconcile today," Adam confidently promised, patting his chest.

But the next second, Grace chimed in, "Uncle Adam, are you sure... Dad won’t come after you?"

Grace’s words left Adam a bit choked, and he immediately dashed towards the door.

"Little ones, I’m leaving first, I’ll come see you another day."

After Adam left, Hank raised an eyebrow and asked, "Do you think... Dad and Mom will really make up?"

"I think they probably will."

Although he said that, Jack still cast a worried glance upstairs.
