The only reason he couldn’t see farther was because the Heavenly Dao represented the entire Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, but the futures he saw already gave him the information he needed.

The Heavenly Empress’s moves were too simple, too direct, almost akin to a pre-programmed robot without the ability to think for itself. She had the foundation of a divinity but the skills of a true immortal. Tianyi didn’t know if it was because the Heavenly Dao was that simple or if his mother’s struggles had caused this, but it suited his needs just fine.

Just before the Heaven Seal sword made contact with his palm, Tianyi clenched his fingers, but all he felt was his thumb catching air. The next thing he knew, the sword had sliced through his neck.

As if shocked, Mengfei froze for a moment, allowing Tianyi to retreat into the distance. A black line appeared on his neck, and he looked at his hand, which had only half a palm and a thumb. The Heaven Seal sword had sliced through the dimensional boundary that kept his body’s shape like a hot knife through butter.

Should he say, as expected? Had it been a regular divine artifact, Tianyi would have had the confidence to grab it for a few seconds at the very least, but the Heaven Seal sword had instantly sliced through. However, it wasn’t without any gains.

When Tianyi sensed the connection between the Heavenly Empress and the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System disappear, he immediately acted. This time, he succeeded in transporting his mother to the Nine Heavens Universe.

“The rest is up to you, Nine Heavens.” With that, Confucius disappeared from the Nine Heavens Nebula Formation as if he had never been present.

He could sense it. Although Mengfei appeared to be sleeping, something was missing from her body and soul. That hole was pulling in everything around it. Left alone, Mengfei would die. He recalled the information his mother had told him before the Heavenly Empress Ascension Ceremony. Once she underwent it, she would never be able to leave the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System.

Was this the consequence?
