This Spiritual Energy is Lethal!-Chapter 126 - : The Black Sphere
Chapter 126 -126: The Black Sphere
The woman, ghostlike, floated in mid-air, concealed behind the bridge piers of the water channel, but Lin Mo’s Transcendent Skill was a broad-range perspective scanning.
Regardless of whether they were human or nonhuman, no matter what obstacle they hid behind, those eyes could see a faint blue outline around them.
Even the two groups making a deal under the water channel were outlined in blue, and upon close inspection, there were actually over forty people from both sides combined.
This skill was very similar to the Killing Aura Radar, which also ignored obstacles to outline everyone.
However, the difference lay in that the Killing Aura Radar was passive, only turning red when someone harbored murderous intent towards Chen Ke, and it had a limited range, but it didn’t need to consume life span.
Lin Mo’s Transcendent Skill was an active scan with a very large scope, but it couldn’t filter targets, and as a Transcendent Skill, if Chen Ke could use it in reality, it would likely consume his lifespan as well.
Unfortunately, Lin Mo was already dead, and his Transcendent Skill could not be inherited by Chen Ke; otherwise, it would have been extremely useful.
As an Assassin, the Killing Aura Radar could prevent surprise attacks, but this Transcendent Skill was an active scan that could quickly discern how many enemies were in a room during an infiltration, making it an incredibly powerful reconnaissance method.
The pity was, Chen Ke was currently in the midst of Lin Mo’s memories, an environment that defied common sense, akin to a replay of a videotape. This Skill was something he couldn’t take with him.
“Miles, I see her, over there!” Chen Ke pointed in Laven’s direction and drew his pistol, sliding the sleeve before running towards Laven.
Miles was well-aware of the effectiveness of Lin Mo’s Transcendent Skill. Even though Lin Mo felt quite unusual today, Miles followed him with a mix of trust and doubt.
The gun that Lin Mo used, which Chen Ke had checked, fired regular brass bullets. Although he could potentially summon the three gems in his pocket now, without a life countdown, he didn’t know what they were.
It seemed that a normal Spiritual Ability User would need some object to observe the attributes of the Holy Relics, and it was certain that Lin Mo didn’t carry such an object on him.
The world of memory trembled in Chen Ke’s eyes, like a video with color distortion, leading him to guess that something he had done must have caused a discrepancy with the original memory.
But this discrepancy wasn’t enough to cause a failure in memory synchronization.
Occasional double images appeared in his vision, but Chen Ke didn’t stop; he genuinely didn’t know what to do to save Laven’s life and let the deal continue amidst the attack.
When that ghostly woman flew out from behind the piers, Chen Ke pivoted in place, pistol in hand, and took up the standard Will-style shooting stance.
The optimum combat range for a handgun was between 20 to 50 meters, but Chen Ke was an estimated 200 meters from the white-clothed woman who had emerged; setting aside whether regular bullets could harm this mysterious woman, at that distance, the hit rate would be negligible.
However, Chen Ke’s shot had not been aimed to wound the woman but to alert everyone present.
After all, from the previous memory, Chen Ke had already understood that the woman attacked indiscriminately and was very powerful!
He could only hope that the members of the corporation and Yasla present would temporarily join forces against the enemy upon discovering her. Perhaps then they might be able to take down that woman.
The quiet afternoon was shattered by the sound of gunfire, thunder rumbled in the sky; a .45 ACP bullet spun towards a bridge pier and eventually fell to the ground, creating a small crater.
Through Chen Ke’s perspective, he saw that everyone involved in the transaction below had gone into alert mode.
On Yasla’s side, the cloaked figures in black hooded coats instantly summoned the Holy Relics, eyeing the syndicate gunmen with distrust. The syndicate men also drew various submachine guns, aiming them at Yasla’s people.
But this standoff lasted only two seconds before they all noticed the woman floating towards them.
This shot changed everything.
Laven was first attracted by the sound of the gun, and then she was the first to notice the woman in white, immediately summoning the Holy Relics and entering combat mode. She held a green dagger in her right hand and a MAC10 in her left, avoiding a fate of being killed by a surprise attack.
The syndicate men fired at the woman in white, more than ten submachine guns spewing flames together; in just over ten seconds, hundreds of bullets flew towards the woman in white, turning her into a hornet’s nest.
It seemed that although the woman wasn’t normal, she wasn’t like the monsters from the Great Void either; ordinary bullets could kill her too.
Chen Ke guessed she was some kind of Mutant infected by Spiritual Energy, similar to the female Diner he had encountered before.
He thought it was all over, but within Chen Ke’s field of view, more silhouettes emerged, floating from behind various obstacles, was an increasing number of white-clad Mutants.
They spread their arms, using some method to grab several syndicate gunmen out of thin air. Those men’s thighs, arms, and heads were twisted and broken at opposing angles by invisible forces, their heads and spines ripped out from their bodies together!
“It’s that move again. Some kind of psychokinetic power?” Cold sweat slid down Chen Ke’s forehead.
The current Chen Ke had no way to deal with this situation. If it was a countdown to life, he could still somewhat control the scene with his Killing Aura Radar and then forcefully knock down a few of the Mutants using his prime force…

The dozen or so people from Yasla summoned the Holy Relics and counterattacked with their Transcendent skills. A purple halo burst outward from the center of one of the Yasla members, shooting many thin purple threads throughout the sky.
Chen Ke wanted to shield himself, but then he realized that this explosion-like purple light skill was also a scanning skill. The threads in the sky were actually the telekinetic threads controlled by the white-clad Mutants…
So they were killing people with these things…
The group of Yasla members gathered together, continuously chanting something that sounded very eerie and weepy, as if pleading with something. Then black orbs of light began to gather above their heads.
Those black orbs looked highly ominous and were noticeably prominent at a height of about eight or nine meters. Although it was not yet clear what the orbs were for, the white-clad Mutants definitely sensed danger and immediately directed the purple threads toward the people from Yasla.
A few Yasla members were lifted into the air, torn apart, and their flesh and organs fell to the ground like rain. The black orb in mid-air diminished somewhat, but the remaining members continued chanting, utterly indifferent.
The surviving syndicate gunmen grabbed the briefcases containing the Holy Relics and ran towards their cars, seemingly planning to leave the area.
Chen Ke furrowed his brows, no! This won’t do! The transaction must be completed! Otherwise, the synchronization of memories would be lost again!
