This Giant Dragon is So Powerful!-Chapter 66 - 65: Leanna
High above the thick clouds near the valley home of the Brown Forest Clan.
An unusually muscular Black Dragon hovered motionless, its deep amber crystal-like eyes silently watching below.
While observing, Udi cast a Water Healing Technique on his injured left Dragon Claw.
However, the Water Healing Technique was just a Second Ring Spell and only at the beginner’s skill level, so the effect of the healing wasn’t very good for Udi.
After casting seven or eight Water Healing Techniques in succession, only did the deep, bone-exposing wound on his Dragon Claw mostly heal.
The rest was just letting the newly grown tender Dragon Scales slowly harden over time to restore their pre-injury hardness.
"Water element healing spells just aren’t as effective as light element healing spells," Udi lamented silently.
Just as Udi was pondering which type of spells to learn next to enhance his overall strength, his expression suddenly froze. He dipped his head below the cloud layer to look at a group below that resembled ants.
Hundreds of Wild Dwarves, but due to the great distance, Udi could not gauge their strength levels.
But this was of no consequence.
Because this Wild Dwarf unit was certainly the one invading the Black Dragon Maiden territory.
Udi dared not look too closely, for fear of being discovered by a master-level caster with strong spiritual power, and quickly hid his dragon head within the clouds.
"Fortunately, I left quickly; if I had been any slower, it would have been hard to escape," Udi felt a bit relieved in his heart as the invading troops’ return was quite swift.
Next, Udi did not return directly to the Black Blood Valley Dragon Nest but continued patiently hiding within the clouds, spying on the Wild Dwarves’ movements below.
"Hmm? A team came out of the valley..."
Udi narrowed his eyes, continually watching the direction in which the Wild Dwarf team left.
"This direction is... Shiji and their route of departure," Udi furrowed his brows slightly, then quickly realized something, a chilly gleam flashed in his enormous dragon eyes.
A servant contract, a slight tremor in the spiritual connection, Udi gave his four contracted followers a new command.
Soon after, Udi no longer hid within the clouds, but vibrated his Dragon Wings and swiftly flew away from the area.
His flight path remained toward the east to the Black Blood Valley Dragon Nest.
Soaring through the whistling wind for over half an hour, Udi returned to the Black Blood Valley, but he did not land, instead continuing to fly eastward.
After another small half hour passed, Udi entered the territory of the Black Dragon Maiden.
His unhidden presence was soon spotted by the Black Dragon Maiden’s followers and eventually reported to Leanna, who was tracking Wild Dwarf traces.
Soon, an adult Black Dragon over nineteen meters in length descended in front of Udi.
"Udi, why have you returned?" Leanna spoke coldly, her gaze flowing over the body of her eldest son, an expression of astonishment flashing in her eyes.
In just about a year’s time away, had he grown to this size?
A year ago, his body length was seven meters; a year later, it exceeded ten meters. It seemed like it had only grown by about three meters more, but the overall physique had doubled, leaving a strong impression with such growth.
Identification Skill!
Leanna performed a tier assessment on Udi.
[Biological Level: Level 7 Middle][Mage Level: Level 5 Initial]
"In just a year, from never having learned magic to now being Level 5 in mage level? Magic addiction?"
Leanna’s attention was drawn by Udi’s achievements in mage level. Although his biological level’s speed of progression was rather unusual, it wasn’t as shocking to Leanna as the blatant Level 5 mage level.
"Mother, I mean no offense to your majesty by coming here; I just wish to inform you of a piece of news I’ve obtained," Udi spoke respectfully.
Although, by status, he was Leanna’s child, in the Evil Dragon Realm, familial sentiments were rarely considered, only strength mattered. As Udi’s strength was far inferior to Leanna’s, he naturally had to bow his head.
Seeing her outstanding eldest son remaining so deferential, Leanna’s vanity was somewhat satisfied.
Her attention on Udi’s unusually rapid strength improvement was diverted by the news he was about to convey.
"A master-level Wild Dwarf caster, a high-level mage Wild Dwarf caster, as well as several high-level professionals, and thousands of Wild Dwarf warriors? Udi, is all that you said true?"
After listening to Udi’s information about the Wild Dwarves, Leanna’s eyes gradually revealed an expression of excitement.
Being able to subdue a powerful Wild Dwarf clan as followers, for a Green Dragon, testified to its strength.
Similarly, for Black Dragons, which ranked lower than Green Dragons among Five-Colored Evil Dragons, anything comparable to or surpassing Green, Blue, or Red Dragons, was an extraordinary achievement worthy of boasting.
Leanna had been reclusive for decades, being inattentive to the clans under her command because she felt Kobolds, Goblins, and Giant Demons weren’t worth her attention. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
But if they were Wild Dwarves, it would be different.
"With such a Wild Dwarf clan as followers, Mother, you wouldn’t have to worry about not having high-level meat anymore, having the capability to enjoy an Intermediate Demon every three days, a High-Level Demon every ten days; the Wild Dwarf clan can completely satisfy you!
And, with such a powerful follower clan, Mother, you would have enough power to invade the Kas Duchy. My followers captured several humans from the Kas Duchy who possessed several Subordinate Magic Crystals; I can hardly imagine how wealthy the entire Kas Duchy must be...
Moreover, Mother, the weapons held by those Wild Dwarf professionals are made entirely of Demon Iron; they might possess a Demon Iron Ore Vein with abundant reserves...."
Udi continuously hinted negativity towards the Brown Forest Clan.
He bore no true animosity with the Brown Forest Clan but needed his followers’ forces to develop further, requiring ample hunting for food, which naturally meant infringing on the interests of Wild Dwarves.
Wild Dwarves maintained self-imposed order, holding a strong belief to clear any beings daring to invade their territory.
Thus, the roots of both sides’ conflicts were unavoidable, destined to ultimately result in a real confrontation!
Unless one side chose to abandon its territory and develop elsewhere.
However, that’s entirely impractical; the Wild Dwarves built their homeland over at least several hundred years—surely, they wouldn’t abandon it so easily?
Udi, lacking strong powers, needed to lie low and develop steadily, unwilling to forsake the resource-rich territory he’s managed for a year. Above all, the Black Dragon Maiden provided nearby support, should any life-threatening event occur, Udi could shamefully seek refuge under her protection—an excellent option for survival.
Moving elsewhere, in unfamiliar lands, should powerful threats arise, it would indeed be perilous...
