Chapter 715: Side Story 3. Stellar Blossom - 50

For Radia, making love with Han Joon was like drinking strong alcohol. He took a sip and suddenly, he got drunk. His legs were wobbly, his mind was hazy, and his speech became slurry.

More than anything, it was so intoxicating and addicting Radia couldn’t bring himself to stop.

Even when he started feeling tired, he told himself that the loss of strength in his legs and waist was just an illusion. Because it felt so good...it just felt so good to hear the loudly beating heart and the low growl. It was good to feel the warm skin and see the flushed face-- something that had been missing from Joon for the past few years.

Yeah...it truly felt like they were back in that era when they were just teenagers madly in love with each other.

When Radia came to it, the sun was high already. It was just...he had no idea what day it was. He needed a few minutes of just staring blankly at the ceiling to digest what happened. How long it had happened.

"Oh Gods..." he burst out laughing. Did he even tell his secretaries--human secretaries--that he would take this long of an absence? Did his father cover for him?

Radia had no idea. And strangely enough, he didn’t really care at that moment. It had been so long since he felt so irresponsible, and it was exhilarating.

Han Joon, who had been kissing his shoulder and neck, peeking up from his back. "What is it?"

"It’s just..." Radia turned his head slightly so he could see Joon’s curious face. He smirked and continued with a slight giggle. "We haven’t done it this hard since the honeymoon."

"Honeymoon..." freewebnøvel.coɱ

Han Joon blinked and muttered dazedly before pulling up to lean on the pile of pillows against the headboard. Radia, who lost his darling’s touch, rolled around with his aching body and laid his head on the other’s lap.

Even though he was completely spent, Radia slipped his hand behind the night robe and stroked Joon’s thigh while glancing up. "Why?"

"It is frustrating that I can’t remember it," Han Joon clicked his tongue. He looked down and stroked the messy red hair. "...should we re-enact that one too?"

"Pfft--I think we’re already doing it with this," Radia laughed, even though he was grimacing inside from how much his body ached.

It was good while doing it, but the aftermath was not very desirable--even after being cleaned thoroughly and soaking in a warm bath. It seemed like Joon’s appetite had nothing to do with him being an esper or not.

"This doesn’t count," Han Joon pursed his lips, which made him look a bit like Shin. "I bet we didn’t do it in the mansion."

Radia laughed and rolled around to his back, looking up with a pair of twinkling eyes. "Want to know where we did it?"

"Where?"

"In that villa I stayed in while waiting for you," Radia smirked, staring at the arching brow above him. "I bought the place afterward."

Han Joon chuckled and leaned down to kiss his darling, who kept being lovely in every stage of their lives. He pulled the man to sit on his lap and leaned back against his chest, before asking in a whisper. "What did we do during that honeymoon?"

"Uhh...sex?"

"How long?"

"Three days."

"Just three days?"

Radia smacked the hands fiddling with his nightrobe. "We’re in the middle of an important mission for humanity," he scolded. "My people were in the Deathzone--your brother too."

Han Joon chuckled without an ounce of remorse. "We did nothing else?"

"We ate to preserve energy," Radia shrugged.

Han Joon laughed and whispered behind Radia’s ear. "Tell me more."

"What’s more to tell? I was so focused on getting fucked that I can’t remember things clearly."

Han Joon threw his head back and laughed even louder, so much so that his entire body shook. The low-tone laughter filled the room like the crisp chirping of birds in the morning. Fresh. Beautiful. Radia couldn’t help but stare dazedly at the dreamy view.

"I’ll go again if you look at me like that," Han Joon chuckled while stroking Radia’s chin. "What is it?"

"I just love seeing you laugh like that," Radia muttered, rubbing the rising corner of Joon’s lips.

Han Joon tilted his head. "Was I not laughing like this after coming back?"

"Not really," Radia replied quietly. "I guess...your mind was just too burdened," his lips stretched into a bitter smile. "Also, it was probably hard to laugh like that when your body was in pain."

"Is that so?" Han Joon looked up and rolled his neck and shoulder. "It does feel easier to move around now, even though I’m not an esper anymore."

Not an esper anymore...

"Do you regret it?" Radia turned around and looked at his husband with concern. "I mean, you didn’t--but I don’t know how the twenty-year-old you feels."

"Hmm..." Han Joon drew a circle above the fabric covering Radia’s waist. "Will you throw me out because of this?"

"Of course not!"

"Then it’s fine," Han Joon smiled at the unhesitant answer. If anything, Radia looked angry that he was even thinking about asking that kind of question. "It takes time for me to digest it properly, but I’ll be fine as long as I can stay by your side."

Radia pressed his knees on the mattress and pulled Han Joon to his chest. "I’m not going to let you get away from me whatever you might become," he made his plea against the man’s crown. "I’m going to chain you in this mansion if I have to."

Han Joon looked up with a pair of curled black eyes and a smile. "Why don’t you chain me now? I saw the handcuffs in the drawer..."

"Cheeky," Radia playfully smacked the man’s cheek, before going down again to lean his head on Joon’s shoulder. "But I’m too tired to move by myself, so...next time."

Han Joon shrugged, but his inquiry was not over. "Did we use it during our honeymoon?"

"We didn’t use anything since we got to it immediately," Radia mumbled on Joon’s skin.

"Hah!"

"But..."

"Yeah?"

Radia turned his head to the side, trying to recall. "I think we made use of the sheet in some ways? I think my necktie was ruined too..."

Han Joon laughed again, and Radia smirked while scratching the scar before his eyes. He used to look at it with dread--an evidence of his cruelty. But now, it was their bond. Their red string.

"Talking about re-enactment, though..."

"Mm?"

Radia bit his lips for a few seconds before asking. "Do you want to...redo the wedding?"

Han Joon tilted his head. "Redo?"

"Hmm...redo is not the word," Radia pulled back and rolled to the bed again, laying on his back while staring at the ceiling. "But we only registered our marriage, exchanged vows, and put on the rings," he raised his hand, looking at the wedding band Han Joon had made from the rare materials he found while plundering Kronos’s servers. "We didn’t have wedding receptions or parties, so most people didn’t know that I was married or that you were my husband."

"Because of that operation in the Deathzone?"

"Yeah," Radia sighed. "We also got married an hour after you got out of prison."

Han Joon smirked. "I like that," he said. He would have reprimanded his older self if he wasted even more time. He stroked the red hair while smiling fondly. "But I don’t really care about receptions or whatever. I’m fine without them, but I’m also fine if you want to have them now. People already know about it anyway."

With how widely spread that recording in the Western Republic was, Radia’s marital status became known to the public. From there, people who already knew about it--mainly those in the upper circle--leaked the identity of Han Joon, who Radia sometimes brought to formal events. Naturally, it soon trickled down to the general public, and because House Mallarc had no reason or intention to cover it up, they did not prevent the media from reporting it.

Thus, it was widely known that the former Captain of Mobius was the mysterious husband who caused Radia to kneel in public. Han Joon browsed about it in passing, and it seemed like people were having fun spinning all kinds of stories about the reason of how the two people known to be in a bad relationship ended up as a married couple.

Reading them was honestly...entertaining.

"Hmm...should we do it for our fifth anniversary?" Radia muttered.

"Sure," Han Joon nodded obediently. "...when will it be?"

Radia laughed, forgetting that Joon had no idea when they got married. "Fall."

"Still far away."

"This kind of thing needs extensive preparation," Radia rolled his eyes. If they were to do it, the upper circle and Old Houses had to be invited. Radia was the next patriarch, after all.

"If you say so," Han Joon shrugged. "In the meantime..."

"Mm?"

"Since we’re on the topic of re-enactment," Han Joon slid down and lay beside his darling. "Why don’t we try doing all those things we couldn’t do in our twenties? Things we’d be able to do if things went according to our plan."

"Ah...that’ll be nice," Radia nodded. "But..." he tilted his head. "What do couples in their twenties do?"

The man who had never done anything fun since his childhood and the man who spent his youth working in his company to heal his heartbreak stared at each other in silent confusion.

"I think we need a consultant..."
