There’s Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!-Chapter 30: Dekan's First Performance
Before the demon teacher could finish his opening statement, Dekan had already walked to a seat on the opposite side of the stage and sat on it nonchalantly.
"Let's start the performance."
He resembled a judge, propping his chin up with one hand and leaning back in the chair.
His behavior left the students of the Demon Choir puzzled.
What made Dekan's arrogance even more pronounced was that he turned the chair around, facing away from the choir.
The music teacher fell silent for a moment and then said, "Fine, let's begin."
If this student was so cocky that he wouldn't even allow the introduction, then there was no need to explain the rules. After all, participation in the classroom was voluntary. When the kill mechanism was triggered, they would follow the rules accordingly.
The music teacher smirked and turned to the students of the choir, starting to play a large instrument in front of him.
The instrument looked like a piano and sounded like one, so Dekan decided it was a piano. It had a slightly peculiar tone. But to Dekan, the tone was never the most important aspect of a piano. What he cared about was its structure -- it was perfect to convert into a barbecue grill for the pool party.
...
Amidst the accompaniment, the Demon Choir began their synchronized singing. The style of their performance was noisy and entrancing, with a hint of decadence, like the murmurs of the fallen and the sighs of the judges, carrying an indescribable charm, as if they intended to immerse and bewilder the listeners.
Not even five minutes had passed before they completed their first rendition.
Dekan didn't react at all until they finished singing.
He didn't even show any intention of applauding.
Instead, he expressed some dissatisfaction, saying, "Unfortunately, I can't turn around for you with this chair."
Dekan sighed and stood up.
"This is how the song goes. I'll teach it to you once, so listen carefully."
As he spoke, Dekan walked toward the stage.
This made the music teacher and the students of the Demon Choir furious.
Turning his back to them earlier could be forgiven, but not being able to turn around? And teaching them to sing?
What kind of new insult was this?
Was he looking for trouble?
"Heh."
Many students gradually turned sinister, some even laughing.
In their eyes, Dekan was already a corpse.
Soon, they would make him understand what true despair meant.
He’ll be brutally killed in fear and resentment.
The music teacher also laughed disdainfully.
He couldn't wait to kill this ignorant student.
The truly terrifying thing in this classroom wasn't the kill mechanism; it was the twisted psychology of these demon students.
They would go to great lengths to harm new students.
"Are you ready?"
Seeing that Dekan had taken his place on the Demon Choir's seats, the music teacher asked.
"We're ready."
Dekan responded along with the group of demon students.
The music teacher took a deep breath, placed his hands on the piano keys, and pressed them slowly.
The entrancing music flowed slowly from the piano, gradually solidifying in the air.
The sound of the piano began like falling raindrops, resonating throughout the stage.
Just as the piano piece was about to reach its climax, and the Demon Choir had just started to sing,
"We were no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I~~"
Dekan's voice shook the music teacher's hands, almost causing him to hit the wrong note.
All the demon students stopped singing, staring at him in disbelief.
Not only did his voice overpower the piano, but it also drowned out the voices of the Demon Choir!
Why?
Dekan had control of the school's broadcast system!
He had turned up the volume in the music room's broadcast to the maximum and used a magic ring as a microphone to sing the song he wanted!
"What are you looking at? You all sang it wrong!"
???
The expressions of all the demon students were filled with confusion.
Setting aside the question of why this guy knew their rules in the first place, why could this jerk control the school's broadcast? The volume was so loud it felt like it would burst their eardrums.
How could they possibly compete with this bastard?
The music teacher, his face darkening, stopped playing and looked in the direction of the choir.
"All twenty of you sang it wrong."
The music teacher reluctantly announced, as the rules were as such: the Demon Choir had been using this mechanism to trick other demon students.
If they were tricked in turn, the teacher had to acknowledge it according to the usual rules. If the music teacher violated this, the principal would find out, and he would be the one to die.
All the demon students looked at Dekan with fearful expressions.
They had realized that things were not looking good.
"Cough, let's start again."
The music teacher coughed lightly and said somewhat helplessly.
Giving the students a brief preparation time, the piano began to play again.
This time, just as the piano began to play, all the demon students reached an understanding. They were planning to rush into singing first and force Dekan to make a mistake.
But Dekan had already anticipated the strategy of the demon students and began singing ahead of them.
"Ah,ahahahah, kimowa… kawattaaaaaaaa~~~"
Dekan lifted his head with an intoxicated expression, showing a brilliant smile as he sang.
It was only his voice in the entire music room.
"All twenty of you, that's the second mistake."
The music teacher, forced to uphold the rules, announced the result mercilessly.
The demon students were left in utter despair.
This guy! There was really no way to deal with him!
If he succeeded one more time, the entire Demon Choir would be wiped out!
They were doomed if this continued, so they had to make a desperate move!
"Go to hell!"
Finally, a demon student couldn't take it anymore and rushed towards Dekan.
Dekan's hands were in his pockets as he sneered and activated [Mind Disturbance].
Suddenly, the movements of the demon student changed dramatically, and he swung a punch toward another demon student next to him.
The demon student who was attacked was caught unprepared and knocked to the ground.
"Teacher! He's attacking other students!"
Dekan raised his hand, acting like a righteous student seeking justice for his classmates, and shouted loudly.
???
The demon student who had attacked was full of question marks, looking at his own hand in disbelief.
He clearly wanted to kill Dekan, why was his body not under control?
Before he could figure out the reason,
The music teacher sighed, transformed into a shadow, and swiftly twisted the neck of the rule-breaking student.
Then the teacher returned to the piano, sitting on the stool, seemingly ready to start playing for the third time.
"Hehehe, classmates, we should coexist peacefully."
Dekan looked at the group of demon students with a meaningful smile, as if telling them: if you try to act, you'll only die faster.
