The X Guide-Chapter 138: Training (3)
Devion averted his eyes immediately.
It was truly strange. But his heart skipped a beat.
Damn, ice block; he was so good-looking!
Fortunately, Khal walked away from behind him and let Devion start to test the equipment. Devion sighed in relief. Khal was such a weirdo.
Overall, Khal was extra touchy that day. Devion was not too suspicious and let him since some of the equipment was truly something he had tested for the first time.
This happened after a few more sessions. It got to a point where Devion had gotten used to it.
Like, when he needed to stretch. Khal was already behind him, helping him. Devion moaned and grunted without a care in the world.
The stretching, which suddenly became like a massage session. Devion did not think too much. But when Khal pointed at a sensitive spot on his back, Devion could not help but arch his back.
"Hey, that’s..." Devion bit his lips. Wow, what the hell?
"What?"
Devion cursed. This ice block loved to act dumb.
He turned around and glared.
"Don’t do that again! "
Khal really did not, but again, another spot was found. What the fuck? Devion really did not know what was happening since he was not really ticklish or sensitive.
Was Khal doing something behind his back? He turned his head again and stared suspiciously.
"How do you feel?"
He looked calm.
Devion turned and faced Khal; he stared intently. The other did not say anything and only waited.
"You," Devion called. Khal’s brow arched. "Are you messing with me?" Devion accused.
Did he get an answer that day? Devion knew he did not. Khal only shrugged, expression unreadable. That time, he did not know if it was a positive answer or not.
But a couple of months into the training, when Devion truly noticed it. In fact, Khal never hid it. Devion was just too slow.
Khal was flirting with him. That pervert!
Devion fumed when he finished recounting the events. Khal messed him up good. Seeing him giggling and shits now, Devion wanted to jump him.
Ayen propped his chin and watched the two. He always thought that being an outsider or an observer would make one feel left out. In a way, Ayen always felt that whenever everyone talked before him.
He never felt connected to the world for some reason.
However, watching Khal and Devion bicker or become passionate never gave him that feeling. In fact, he loved watching them. It was comfortable in a way that it calmed his mind.
That even when he was not part of the conversation, he felt so included.
Ayen already had this same perception even before he got closer to them, when he stayed in the forbidden zone. It only became intense as days went by.
"What do you think, Ayen?" Devion turned to him again, hopeful.
Ayen glanced at him and then at Khal, who seemed not to care but was waiting for an answer.
"Why not?"
"Huh?" Devion exclaimed; Khal smiled at him.
Devion sighed and leaned his head on Ayen’s shoulder.
"You’ve been totally seduced, Ayen."
Maybe. He actually did.
In any case, a few touches would not move Ayen now. If anything, he quite loved it. Was he so touch-starved? He did not know.
One thing was for sure: he only wanted Khal and Devion touching him and no one else.
"We need to raise your stamina first." Khal operated the machine. Devion was beside him. "Ayen, do you also want to learn to control your wavelength?"
As a Guide, Ayen could guide on instincts. He had been doing that with Khal and Devion a lot of times. However, actually learning to control them further was better.
He nodded. He looked over at what they were doing. Devion pulled him and put him between them so he could watch much more closely.
Devion’s arm wrapped around his waist, and he propped his chin on Ayen’s shoulder.
Khal glanced at them and quickly explained to Ayen the buttons of the machine. This was the latest model and was even enhanced by a team under him. So, it had better performance than the one in the institute.
The machine was specifically made for Guides. It was like a simulated guiding session.
"Look at this button," Khal pointed. "Push this when you want to simulate our wavelength." Of course, it was not accurate. But it was better than nothing.
Guiding both of them still put a mental toll on Ayen, and so they could not just let him practice on them. Fortunately, Ayen had never experienced a backlash since they started the trio guiding sessions.
"Oh, do we need to register our wavelength?" Devion curiously asked.
It was also his first time seeing the device. Before, he was not one to focus on special machines for the guides.
Khal nodded. While their mana was unique, it was harder and completed for their mana wavelengths to be stored or filed.
"We’ll try." Khal also did not know if the machine could handle both of their mana density. He then proceeded again to make Ayen familiar with the buttons.
Ayen was independent and would certainly not want to always be supervised, and so he had to be familiar with them.
"Do you want to test it?"
Ayen stared at the machine. Honestly, he was only a bit interested. He knew that it would not compare to the real guiding session at all.
"Later." Ayen looked at the other devices around. "I want to look at the others."
Khal could see through him and chuckled.
"Okay. Let’s go."
There were only a few who were very familiar with him. A treadmill was one of them. It was a very common piece of equipment, although it was different from the usual.
"We can start with this." Khal pointed at the treadmill.
Devion touched the treadmill. "Is the kid’s ability so powerful that Ayen needed to build stamina?" He asked, not really thinking much about it.
Ayen also agreed. While his stamina was not top-notch, Ayen could still keep up most of the time. Obviously, he would not have esper-like stamina, no matter how much he trained.
A ghost of a smile traced Khal’s lips. Then Devion narrowed his eyes.
"I knew it! You’re thinking something perverted." Devion pointed at him accusingly. Khal laughed. He shook his head, amused.
Ayen looked at him in surprise. Maybe Devion was not being suspicious for nothing.
