Chapter 581: Chapter 331: Alien Flora! The Alien Flora in the Swamp!_4

Ivita fell into a silence. It was as if he caught a glimpse of some truth of the world. He saw the beauty of the cycle, the beauty of foolishness. His Soul Palace was trembling rapidly, seeming to respond to this.

"This is probably the principle of the law," Ivita thought. "As I rule my own territory, I will see more and more of the principle of Law. I am getting closer and closer to this principle, and eventually, I will capture it."

Looking down, Ivita saw some of the Lizardmen and Longhair People attacking the old Lizardman who spoke the truth. Suddenly, he called down thunder, five bolts of lightning turning those attacking the old Lizardman into ashes.

In an instant, the Lizardmen and the Longhair Tribe dared not take any action.

In the midst of the thunderstorm, Ivita slowly said to the leaders of both tribes, "I am already aware of the causes and consequences of your conflict. Longhair leader, why don’t you just have your people lift the statue? Lizardmen leader, take your people and leave here."

"Immediately. Rebellion against me means death."

The tribe leaders, in fear, were standing beside the immense golden Fire Bird, sweat dripping from their foreheads. Both parties were weighing their profits and losses.

The leader of the Longhair Tribe defiantly said, "So, we just let it be?"

With irony in his voice, Ivita replied, "Even if you want to start a war, you have to inform me. I’m governing the Land of Swamp now, not Joanna. My only requirement for you all is to obey my rule."

"If a man cannot restrain himself, he must follow the orders of others."

The Fire Bird lowered its head, a grand burst of flames aimed at the leader of the Longhair Tribe, making his face turn pale. From the Fire Bird came Ivita’s voice. "I don’t care about what exactly happened between you two. I am not a platform or tool for you to discuss right and wrong. But let me tell you what I do care about. I care about the peace in the Land of Swamp and I care that the Land of Swamp follows my command."

"So, both of you, do you wish to offend me here and tip the balance completely to one side? Or do you wish to follow my orders here?"

The leader of the Longhair Tribe’s pupils suddenly contracted. He said to Ivita, "I understand, sir. You are my superior, and I should consider your preferences, not the other way around. If I want to get your help, I must align with your interests. I can let this matter go."

The leader of the Lizard Tribe also figured out that if Ivita were to side with the Longhair Tribe, there would be no benefit to their own tribe, the Lizardmen of the Swamp.

Ivita had made his point clear.

His interests should be prioritized over the interests of the two tribes. Because he is the Lord of the Land of Swamp, it’s not up to him to please both tribes at his expense.

The leader of the Lizard Tribe, knowing that this was Ivita’s show of authority, had no choice but to swallow it down because of Ivita’s power and status. This was the authority imposed by feudal superior.

The leader of the Lizard Tribe bowed his head to the Fire Bird, composing his thoughts. "I understand. You’re right. If I were to demand a price from others just for the death of a child, there would be too many people seeking revenge on me."

"I am also willing to step back this time."

The thunderstorm in the sky gradually disappeared. Ivita, in the form of a falcon, landed on the ground and transformed into a handsome fourteen-year-old boy. His slow approach left the Lizardmen and Longhair Tribe in surprise and shock.

They had expected Ivita to be much older; a wise wizard, or a sinister old wizard.

But unexpectedly, Ivita was so young.

The leader of the Lizardmen opened his mouth wide,"Lord...Lo..."

"What’s the matter?" Ivita glanced at him coldly.

This frightened the leader of the Lizardmen. Ivita’s magical power was so strong that a mere glance could make one feel as if they had fallen into a bitter winter. "No... nothing, it’s just that I thought you would be older..."

The coldness in Ivita’s eyes deepened. "Should I come back in a few years then?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Despite the rhetorical nature of the question, to the Lizard Chief’s ears, it sounded like spring thunder, causing all his muscles to tense. "No, no, I didn’t mean it that way, Great Lord. What I meant to say is that the elders of the Fire Lizards are too old."

The chief of the Longhair Tribe was more like a barbarian from the wilderness, all muscle and sinew, draped in animal hide, emitting a wild and rustic aura.

He said to Ivita: "Lord, Joanna has taught us the concept of feudal lords, so your rule over our tribe should be just and unobstructed, without any effort on your part. My name is Arjemin Barbarian Bones."

Ivita replied directly, "There is a powerful energy beneath the Death Swamp. I suspect it has a great deal to do with your transformation from ordinary humans to the Longhair Tribe. Take me to the core area of your tribe."

He looked over both tribes. "Now that I am the lord here, I need to know everything about this place. Not just here, Viscount Josè’s Territory, and even the original territory of the Valji Family, they all belong to me now."

Arjemin Barbarian Bones’ red-haired, short and squat female companion was infuriated by Ivita’s words. "Even if you are our lord and protector, you cannot enter our most sacred places. Today, you have shown off your might, having everyone stop in their tracks only to listen to you. You..."

Arjemin Barbarian Bones backhanded her, landing a slap on her face.
