The witch thought I am a Demon God-Chapter 578 - 331: Alien Flora! The Alien Flora in the Swamp!_1
Ivita, in the form of a wandering falcon, perched atop the stone statue, watching the battle unfold below.
In the marsh, the Lizardmen charged forward with their spears, clashing with the people of the Longhair Tribe. Both sides were bellowing in hatred.
Two-thirds of the Lizardmen were able to engage the Longhair Tribe in combat, their fight becoming quite bloody. Approximately one-third of the Lizardmen took out leather ropes that they’d fashioned from the bark of the shrubs they’d been carrying, tying them to the human stone statue. They began pulling, attempting to topple the statue.
Many of the Longhair Tribe saw this, their eyes burning with fury as if they had just seen their mortal enemies.
They raised their wooden spears and let out a great roar.
"They’re trying to topple our statue! Kill them!"
"Wipe out those Lizardmen!"
’Bang~’
With a loud ’bang’, the Lizardmen, pulling the leather ropes, managed to tilt the stone statue to one side.
The Dead Cow Wizard and Kamizuki flew over and landed next to Ivita. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Ivita asked them, "Have you heard anything about the statues in the Death Swamp?"
Both of them shook their heads.
Ivita furrowed his brow. The scene was already quite brutal, with the nearby swamp blood-stained.
But until now, Ivita hadn’t understood what was so special about the statue that incited the tribes into battle.
Curious, he didn’t interfere with the Lizardmen trying to topple the statue.
’Whoosh~’
’Whoosh~’
Ivita looked down and saw some larger Lizardmen among them, their whole bodies red and translucent mineral horns protruding from their foreheads.
These Lizardmen spat out fireballs at the Longhair Tribe. These fireballs exploded upon impact, often blasting both people and nearby rocks. The high temperature could even melt stone.
The Dead Cow Wizard said to Ivita, "Those are Dragon-Veined Lizardmen. I’ve heard they can summon flames and spit fireballs, but I don’t know the specifics."
Dragon-Veined Lizardmen?
Ivita activated his Spirit Vision and found that the Lizardmen’s spiritual energy was similar to the energy accumulated at the bottom of the swamp. It seemed that some descendants of the Lizardmen had been contaminated by the negative spiritual energy accumulated from the remains of the swamp’s extinct dinosaurs, resulting in the so-called Dragon-Veined Lizardmen.
With the support from the Dragon-Veined Lizardmen, the Longhair Tribe was immediately put at a disadvantage. Their members were sent flying into the air, their bodies falling down like raindrops.
With this advantage, more Lizardmen were able to focus on toppling the statue.
"One,"
"Two,"
"Three!"
With the combined efforts of the Lizardmen, the statue fell with a great crash.
Much of the muck from the swamp was splattered everywhere, and the statue sank into the swamp, leaving the Longhair Tribe in despair and the Lizardmen in euphoria.
The members of the Longhair Tribe despaired, "The hunting team is not here and we can’t stand against these reptiles. But we’re finished, the statue has fallen."
"Ahhhhh!"
The Lizardmen raised their spears in celebration.
"Hahaha... We won! We toppled the stone statue of the Longhair Tribe!"
The Longhair Tribe raised their weapons, their faces full of fury. The leader of the tribe, a muscular, bare-chested man, threw his spear at a young Lizardman—the daughter of the Lizardmen chieftain. Instantly, she was impaled as if skewered on a roast, thrown straight through.
The chieftain roared, "Kill all the Lizardmen! We’ll fight to the death!"
"Kill! Today, either we slaughter all those Lizardmen, or we all die! We won’t stop otherwise!"
The chieftain of the Lizardmen, seeing his son fallen and blue blood soaking into the swamp, was stricken with grief. He muttered, "Damned Marsh Humans, this place was never theirs. Our ancestors should never have taken them in."
"Kill them all. I won’t stop until they’re eliminated."
Seeing that the two sides were going to fully engage in a fight to the death, Ivita, in the form of a falcon, circled high in the sky, creating a thunderstorm. The sky above the swamp was immediately shrouded in lightning, striking at the boundary between the Lizardmen and the Longhair Tribe, falling in the middle of the battlefield.
Amidst the tempest in the swamp, even the bushes were bending under the force of the wind.
Ivita’s voice echoed down, "Stop! Cease your private quarrels now! Your actions violate my interests in the swamp, affect my territory, and harm my property."
"Stop your private fights immediately. This is an order from the Lord."
The chieftain of the Lizardmen and the head of the Longhair Tribe looked up, shocked at the horrifying thunderstorm and the Thunder Dragon faintly visible behind it.
In the past, they’d faced several occasions when outsiders tried to invade the swamp, claiming it as their territory, only to be driven away by the combined forces of the two tribes. But this was the first time they’d witnessed such a terrifying natural disaster.
Whispers ran through the Lizardmen and Longhair Tribe.
"This is our ancestral land. How can a man, who suddenly emerged with some sort of trinket, claim to rule over us?"
