The witch thought I am a Demon God-Chapter 513 - 301: Four Types of Components: Conviction_1
At the location of the original Valji Manor, there are now ghostly shadows everywhere. The fountain, originally used to add a touch of elegance, now reflects the true identity of the attackers. They are a group of undead pirates, possessing the strength of second-class knights and immortality.
These pirates are about to break into the manor’s villa, take out the professionals and sailors still loyal to Ivita, and rescue the captured members of the Valji family.
Clark, the first mate of the ghost pirate ship, raised his scimitar and said to the pirates behind him: "Lads, break in and kill and plunder everything!"
But Captain Dardani Crook said, "My first mate, you’re too crude. That won’t do."
"This is the Valji family’s manor, and I promised to return it intact to its rightful owner."
First Mate Clark looked back at Captain Dardani Crook, whose face was illuminated by the reflection in the fountain, revealing his true appearance - a face in decay. "Then let’s just kill Ivita’s people."
"Break in."
Following the command of the first mate, pirates from the Ghost Captain stormed the iron gate of the manor villa. This gate had been reinforced with triangular iron frames and an anti-theft chain. But it still meant nothing against the power of over thirty actual knights turned undead pirates.
Just one round of ramming sent the iron gate flying, along with the five professional warriors who were up against it. Three of them even had their arms snapped from the impact.
The Ghost Pirates raised their scimitars in excitement.
"The gate is open! Charge in!"
Just then, two servants led out a son and a teenage daughter of McLoughlin Valji. Upon seeing the ghost pirates, they exclaimed, "The family head predicted you’d come to our rescue at this hour, and indeed you came." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"We suffered in silence here, pretending to betray our family, just so we could find a chance to take Miss and Young Master out of the dungeon."
Dardani Crook asked, "Where’s McLoughlin Valji?"
He was the main target of this operation. McLoughlin Valji, the eldest son of the Valji family, was the most important second-generation member of the family.
The two servants showed dejection. "We don’t know what sort of witchcraft those damn land-dwellers used on our young master. We tried to rescue him from the dungeon, but he said it was pointless, that we couldn’t beat Ivita, and that anything we did was useless. He even refused to be rescued."
"So..."
Dardani Crook’s face displayed impatience. "Worthless, is he? Given the chance to leave, but refusing?"
First Mate Clark said, "Let’s just break in and get him. Come on, let’s all go in together."
Just as they were about to rush in, the sky suddenly darkened. A huge tornado appeared in the dark clouds, a Thunder Dragon faintly visible within. The terrifying power of thunder, accompanied by the majesty of judging all creatures, fell and exerted immense pressure on everyone present.
The pirates of the Ghost Captain, facing this dreadful demonic pressure, all revealed serious expressions.
"Leave? Break in?"
"Not so fast."
"Today, I will make sure you have no escape – be it moving forward or retreating, both will be equally difficult."
Lightning from the mouth of the Thunder Dragon fell, strike after strike, each aimed at the ghost pirates in the courtyard.
Seven full-fledged knight-strength ghost pirates were struck by the lightning and split into halves.
Sensing the power within the thunder magic targeting them, the ghost pirates were filled with an unusual fear.
The first mate of the Ghost Captain opened his mouth wide and looked up at the Thunder Dragon in the sky, "How could there be such a powerful magical power? According to our intel, they’re just a second-class wizard!
"Damn~"
First Mate Clark’s eyes darted about, seemingly in deep thought.
Captain Dardani Crook of the Ghost Captain, stared at the dragon, pulled out the flintlock pistol from his waist, and aimed at the Thunder Dragon in the sky. A number ’4’ formed from the ethereal gas that billowed from the barrel of the gun.
"No wonder the Valji Family was uprooted from the Transfer Port, so that’s why."
He fired a shot at the Thunder Dragon. The moment the bullet left the barrel of his flintlock, it was surrounded by a red light, which then struck the tail of the Thunder Dragon in the sky, bursting into a red halo.
"It’s actually this powerful, I’ve underestimated this Thunder Magic." said Captain Dardani Crook of the Ghost Captain. "This ’Penance’ pistol actually failed to kill it in one shot."
One after another, bursts of lighting fell from the sky, spear-like, aimed at him.
Captain Dardani Crook of the Ghost Captain raised his ’Penance’ flintlock, aimed at the Lightning Javelins, and swiftly fired five shots. Five bullets destroyed seven streaks of lightning.
Because two bullets took out two lightning bolts each.
The Thunder Dragon swooped down, sending over a dozen ghost knights flying into the air. Captain Dardani Crook, however, leapt away to avoid the dive-bombing Thunder Dragon.
Next, the dragon - having reassumed its place in the sky - opens its mouth and launches hundreds of Lightning Javelins. In an instant, the whole courtyard became engulfed, trapping all intruders within.
Amidst the thunder and lightning, Ivita entered with the Iron Mountain Knight, Hearthstone Witch, Wilson, and a group of professionals.
The two servants at the door of the villa held their young master trembling. They thought they’d escaped from the jaws of death, but it seemed that their misfortunes continued.
The two children of the Valji family looked at Ivita - who led the troops in - with both hatred and fear.
Ivita mocked the pirates aboard the ghost ship, "Since you had the audacity to invade my domain, why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
He snapped his fingers, and the Thunder Dragon entered his right eye.
"What a terrifying power." Captain Dardani Crook stood up from the ground, dusted the dirt off himself, emitting an aura of strength and dignity characteristic of a fourth level Superior Knight. "Since you already have such a powerful force, why do you have to rob the Valji family?"
"While the Ghost Captain isn’t the top pirate ship, today we want to intervene in the affairs between the Valji family and you."
Ivita responds to Captain Dardani, "I see."
"Are you overflowing with the heart of the Holy Mother? I suggest you go to the church, let the statue of the Holy Mother come down, and you take her place."
"With your generosity and kindness, why don’t you pay attention to how many merchant ships the Valji family robs per day, or how many human slaves the Valji family sells to countries that worship the God of All Beasts every day?"
"I’ll say it again, the Valji family owes me two Viscount lands, and I have legal documents as proof."
Captain Dardani Crook was moved by his words, indeed he wasn’t aware that the Valji family also dealt in slave trading with heretics. He is a devout believer, but he will investigate this matter later.
Captain Dardani Crook said to Ivita, "If you truly have legal documents, then I can support you and negotiate with Valji family, like letting them return one Viscount land to you to balance both parties’ interests, but first you must release the immediate relatives of the Valji family."
"Otherwise, I will resort to other means."
Ivita sneered while the Hearthstone Witch came forward, looking Captain Dardani Crook up and down.
Captain Dardani Crook felt unnerved being scrutinized by the old witch. "What are you looking at me for?"
The Hearthstone Witch sneered, "I am looking at a wicked hypocrite pretending to be a bystander, talking about right and wrong while baring his carnivorous teeth. I despise hypocrites. What’s wrong with being outright evil? Why hide it?!
"Why don’t you just say, you want to help the Valji family to fight us? It would be better."
Captain Dardani Crook clenched his ’Penance’, left speechless by the Hearthstone Witch’s accusation. He gritted his teeth, "In the name of the God of All Things, I didn’t want this. First Mate Clark, bring that man up. Let these land dwellers see the fate of those who make enemies of our ghost ship."
