The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 56: Who Looks Better
As her supernatural abilities leveled up, her healing powers grew stronger.
Previously, she could only heal minor skin wounds, but now she could attempt to treat internal injuries or more serious ailments.
However, she was not a professional veterinarian.
She was not particularly familiar with the anatomy of Beastmen, so determining what kind of internal injuries she could treat required slow exploration.
In any case, leveling up her abilities was a good thing.
Luna Sutton felt in high spirits and glanced outside the cave, surprised to see that it was already daylight.
She was astonished, had she trained the entire night?
Luckily, as a Wood Element Superpower User, she felt invigorated even after a sleepless night, without any fatigue.
She got out of bed, washed up, and thought about the reindeer Rhys Blackwood had brought back yesterday.
Less than a third of it was stewed last night, and Rhys didn’t take any with him, so most of it was still here.
It’s a good thing the temperature was low at night, or else it might have spoiled.
She walked to where the reindeer meat was placed, just lying on the ground with broad leaves underneath.
Luna Sutton leaned in to sniff and found no odor, indicating it was still quite fresh.
Using a Bone Knife, she carefully cut off a portion of the venison and washed it clean with water from a wooden basin.
She placed it on a sticky board and cut it into uniform pieces.
Then, she cut some ginger and sliced green onions to have on hand before starting a fire to stew them in a stone pot.
She added some salt and a suitable amount of spices.
The spices were collected earlier; they helped remove the gamy taste and added fragrance. Although different from spices from the end times, they had a similar effect.
The venison in the pot gradually became tender, releasing a rich aroma.
Luna took out a bowl to taste, finding the flavor quite good. The venison was thoroughly stewed, absorbing all the seasonings, leaving a delightful aftertaste.
She ate a bowl and noticed more than half was left in the pot. She wondered if she should bring a bowl to Corbin Crowley, that irritating man.
Though she found him very annoying, he was her mission target after all, and she had to work on decreasing his dislike value of -60.
Otherwise, it would be impossible to unlock the side quests.
Luna filled a bowl with venison and picked up a pair of chopsticks.
She was about to leave.
When she saw Malachi Arcanus carrying a peculiar door made of connecting wooden panels, tied with vines in the middle, it looked like a door yet unlike one.
Her heart was moved, recalling Malachi’s mention last night about making something to block the cave entrance, she understood a bit more.
Malachi, carrying the strange door, approached with an expressionless face.
Yet his eyes couldn’t help but drift toward her bowl filled with the fragrance of venison, and his throat involuntarily gulped.
The venison he tasted last night lingered in his memory and made him crave more.
That’s why he was out early making a door, eagerly bringing it over.
Luna noticed his gaze fixated on the bowl, fully understanding and finding it amusing.
"You’re just in time; I just finished stewing a pot of venison, you probably haven’t had breakfast yet, come and have some, I can’t eat it all by myself,"
she cheerfully invited.
The bowl intended for Corbin was then placed back inside the cave on the table, and she turned to Malachi, "Why are you standing there? Come and eat, the chopsticks are next to the stove, just help yourself."
If only she could use cooking to charm the five leading men, it would save her the trouble of building rapport.
Cooking and washing laundry every day would be wonderful, wouldn’t it?
Of course, she was just thinking.
In the beast society, most males had strong pride, and subduing them with cuisine might be somewhat challenging. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Occasional meals might be fine, but it wouldn’t work long-term.
However, for now, any gain was good.
Listening to her, Malachi’s throat rolled, the aroma teasing his appetite.
His gaze fell on Luna, noticing her face was no longer as annoying.
Perhaps it was his illusion, but she seemed thinner and fairer than yesterday.
Although he was puzzled, he attributed it to Luna’s Wood Healing Ability.
He positioned the wooden door at the cave entrance, fitting perfectly to block it.
Nodding in satisfaction, he then went to the stove, picked up a pair of chopsticks, entered the cave, and sat down unceremoniously to eat.
The venison soaked up the broth, tender and flavorful, with a savory aftertaste, incredibly delicious.
He had eaten it once last night, thinking today’s wouldn’t be as surprising.
But surprisingly, it was just as good, if not better.
Seeing him enjoy the meal made Luna happy, as capturing a man’s appetite meant capturing his heart might not be far off.
Though she wasn’t eager for the hearts of these Beastmen, utilizing them when necessary was required to complete the mission.
She sat across from Malachi, resting her chin in one hand, smiling as she watched him eat in silence.
The satisfaction of feeding someone was undeniable.
Malachi’s appearance was outstanding, rugged and exuding masculinity, with a primal aura captivating and oozing hormones.
Even though not obsessed with appearances, one naturally appreciated beauty.
"Why are you watching me like that, is there something on my face?"
Malachi asked, feeling slightly uncomfortable under her gaze.
If it weren’t for her clear eyes, abandoning her previous infatuation and many changes, he wouldn’t speak so amicably.
Luna was slightly startled but shook her head with a smile, "No, I just think you’re very good-looking."
Malachi was stunned, as he heard this almost daily.
The females in the tribe, upon seeing him, usually behaved like infatuated fans.
Especially the one before him, she was the most infatuated, saying so many times.
Whenever he heard or saw it, he was extremely annoyed, even very disgusted.
But now, surprisingly, he didn’t find it annoying.
His gaze landed on Luna’s face, noting her clear eyes and smiling face, not like the annoying infatuation of before.
He curled his lips slightly, revealing a barely noticeable smile, "Is that so? Then, compared to Corbin, Rhys, Kian Sterling, and Zeke, who do you think looks better?"
Luna inwardly chuckled, knowing this was a familiar trick question.
But her face remained unchanged, still smiling, and after a moment of serious consideration, she replied, "All five of you are handsome, each with your unique charm, the finest gentlemen of the tribe."
Malachi raised an eyebrow, surprised by her answer.
He expected her to claim he was the best-looking, as she previously had.
"Oh? Then tell me, what are the unique charms of each of us?"
He became interested, leisurely watching her, curious about what she’d say.
Luna found him somewhat repressed, asking such questions and then probing for more.
She seriously stated, "Corbin has that bossy CEO vibe, Rhys is the cool male god. Kian Sterling? He’s like the warm sun, gentle and soothing, making it hard for people not to draw near. Zeke is an ethereal, detached beauty, and you..."
She deliberately dragged out her words, amused by Malachi’s gradually tense expression.
Continuing, she said, "You’re like the wild wind over the prairie, untamed and free, full of strength and wild beauty."
Malachi was slightly taken aback, not understanding terms like bossy CEO or cool male god.
But he grasped the general meaning and found her descriptions very apt.
Indeed, they matched the personalities of the five of them well.
