The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 263 - 231: Soren Phoenix
Celestia Fawkes was startled by the sudden turn of events, looked around, but saw nothing, and asked in confusion, "Great Witch, what’s wrong?"
"My magical poison is missing!"
Ignatius Phoenix’s tattoo-covered face twisted even more fiercely.
Her bony fingers suddenly grabbed the ugly doll on the altar, screaming in a hoarse rage, "Who dares to steal this old hag’s Golden Silkworm King?"
Luna Sutton held her breath, tightly wrapped in the Invisibility Cloak, slowly edging towards the door along the wall.
Celestia Fawkes frowned, turned around wanting to check outside, only to nearly bump into her.
Her heart skipped a beat, she quickly sidestepped, accidentally stepping on the corpse of a Crimson-banded Serpent on the ground.
The slippery feel made her feel sick, almost tripping, but she managed to regain her footing in time.
But she still made a sound.
Celestia Fawkes heard the noise, looked over cautiously: "What was that noise?"
Noticing two Crimson-banded Serpent corpses on the ground.
Luna Sutton secretly cried out in alarm, froze in place not daring to move, clutching the Invisibility Cloak tightly.
Watching as Ignatius’ clouded eyes swept over this way.
The old hag suddenly drew a Bone Knife from her waist and hurled it towards where Luna Sutton stood.
"Swish!"
She jumped in fright, quickly dodged her head, still clutching the Invisibility Cloak tightly.
The Bone Knife flew past her cheek, embedding into the wall with a buzzing sound.
"Great Witch, what’s wrong with you?"
Celestia Fawkes was so scared she stepped back two steps, her face turning a shade paler.
Ignatius Phoenix’s face darkened: "There’s something here."
Saying this, she suddenly grabbed a handful of red powder and scattered it into the air.
Luna Sutton quickly rolled to the side, the powder sprinkled down, forming a vague human shape where she had been standing.
Her brow twitched, secretly exclaiming what a strange trick this was.
"There really is someone!"
Ignatius’ face looked even worse, she touched the Beast Skin Bag at her waist, "Let’s see how you can escape."
Seeing that things were not looking good, she darted towards the door.
Unexpectedly, Celestia Fawkes happened to block the doorway, she had a quick-witted idea, and pinched Celestia Fawkes hard on her buttocks.
"Ah—"
Celestia Fawkes’ face turned red, red like a monkey’s butt, and she shrieked and jumped up, "Who touched me!"
Luna Sutton took the opportunity to slip past her, beneath the Invisibility Cloak she was like a gust of invisible wind, silent and unnoticed.
Ignatius looked back at the sound, only to see Celestia Fawkes jumping around, frowning, "What are you shouting about?"
"Someone touched my butt!"
Celestia Fawkes’ face was flushed, glaring towards the doorway, but she saw nothing, and stomped her foot in anger.
Ignatius’ old face became extremely grim, she picked up the Bone Bell from the altar and shook it furiously, "A thief has broken in, search everywhere, turn the entire Pyralia upside down to find that thief!"
Luna Sutton had already dashed outside, nearly bursting into laughter.
The old hag hopping mad looked just like a furious old hen.
She sprinted along, wrapped in the Invisibility Cloak, flitting through the night like a wisp of smoke, evading team after team of Phoenix Clan guards.
She intended to leave Phoenix’s Roost Valley at once, but after some thought, she felt unsatisfied, and after consulting with a cricket in the bushes about Celestia Fawkes’ residence, she headed that way wrapped in the cloak.
As for why she was going to Celestia Fawkes’ residence, it was obviously to cause trouble.
Following the cricket’s directions, she found her way to Celestia Fawkes’ treehouse.
This female was indeed the young mistress of the Phoenix Clan; the wutong tree she lived in was three times as thick as others, with phoenix patterns carved all over the trunk.
"Vain thing."
She curled her lip, climbed up in two or three moves, lifted the bark curtain, and was met with a strong floral scent.
Celestia Fawkes’ dresser was lined with over ten jars of flower-dyed rouge.
"Serve you right for cursing me."
She sneered and poured the Golden Silkworm King from the ebony box into one of the rouge jars.
The Silkworm King rolled comfortably in the flower juice, "Thank you, benefactor, this is much more comfortable than the cold altar."
"Cut the crap, quickly put some of your poisonous venom in there, remember not to get caught by Celestia Fawkes, then crawl back into the box once you’re done."
Luna Sutton urged in a low voice.
This Golden Silkworm King was very toxic, she dared not touch it directly, it was better to have it crawl in by itself.
The Golden Silkworm King immediately spat out a wisp of golden poisonous silk, spun around in the rouge, and vanished instantly.
It rolled around in the flower juice a couple of times, dyeing itself in a myriad of colors, then slowly crawled back into the ebony box.
"Done."
The Silkworm King’s voice was languid.
She carefully stored the ebony box in her system backpack.
Then picked up the jar with the added ingredient, smearing a bit into the other rouge jars on the dresser as well.
She made sure not to touch it directly with her hands, using something as a barrier instead.
Ensuring that there was no visible difference from the outside, she nodded in satisfaction.
