The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 230 - 211: Humiliation (Part 2)
Before the words had even fallen from her lips, she leapt onto the back of a Fire Phoenix, which soared skyward, carrying her swiftly away.
Celestia Fawkes departed, and the Beastmen of The Phoenix Clan couldn’t stay on.
Each transformed into their true form and flew away.
The Silver-haired Elder Magnus Valerius frowned as he watched the direction The Phoenix Clan’s Beastmen left.
Yet, he did not stop them.
He merely turned to Mael Valerius, a complex expression on his face as he said, "Young Master, I fear The Phoenix Clan will not let this matter rest..."
"Afraid of them?"
Mael Valerius sneered, his Dragon Tail swept, pulling Luna Sutton closer into his embrace, his voice low and dangerous, "If the elder is afraid, why not return to The Dragon Clan now and tell that old thing—"
A flash of crimson glinted in his eyes as he continued chillingly, "Should he dare interfere in my affairs again, I won’t hesitate to personally shatter his Dragon Bones."
Magnus Valerius’ eyelid twitched, fully aware of how uncontrollable the Young Master’s madness could be, even the Clan Leader couldn’t suppress it.
He could only sigh, waving his hand to signal the elite of The Dragon Clan to withdraw.
As for whether Mael Valerius wanted to return to The Dragon Clan, he didn’t even ask.
Asking was pointless anyway; if the Young Master wished to return, he would do so of his own accord—no one could force him.
Fortunately, the Young Master’s condition had improved, the poison in his body seemed neutralized, and the mad blood was suppressed as well.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t be speaking so calmly; he might have overturned this valley long ago.
He glanced back at Luna Sutton, musing to himself: This little female, though she hails from The Lower Domain, her looks and means are remarkably exceptional; no wonder she enthralls the Young Master so.
He also pondered over what sort of pill she fed the Young Master, and the vine along with the green halo, which were evidently manifestations of the Wood Healing Ability.
Magnus Valerius kept these thoughts in mind, prepared to report back to the Clan Leader.
After The Phoenix Clan and The Dragon Clan Beastmen left, an oppressive silence enveloped the hollow of the mountain.
Luna Sutton abruptly pushed Mael Valerius away, her fingertips harshly wiping across her lips, "Who allowed you to kiss me?"
She stood up to leave but was ensnared by the Dragon Tail around her leg.
Mael Valerius tilted his head to look at her, a sick obsession roiling in his dark golden eyes, "Where is Cynthia going?"
"To find Kian Sterling."
Luna Sutton flicked a vine to strike at the Dragon Tail entangling her legs, speaking coldly, "I haven’t yet settled the score with you for severing his three tails, don’t think I’ll forgive you so easily."
Rescuing Mael Valerius was one matter, but it didn’t prevent her from being angry.
Worry also gnawed at her heart, not knowing how Kian Sterling was faring now.
The damned system said that Kian Sterling was directly transmitted to The Fox Clan of Aetheria’s main sect through the passageway in the Beast King City’s forbidden area.
The main sect of The Fox Clan?
Presumably, she could find him there, but as an outsider, she might not get inside.
First, go there and see, then decide.
Suddenly, Mael Valerius sprang up, gripping her by the nape, Dragon Scales protruding from beneath his skin, "All for that fox?"
The grip on her neck was painfully tight, yet an eerie numbness spread through the skin of her neck.
She retaliated with a hard slap across Mael Valerius’ face, "Let go!"
The sharp sound of the slap startled birds from the forest.
In Mael Valerius’ dark golden eyes, a flicker of bewilderment appeared; clearly, this slap left him stunned, easing his grip a bit.
She retreated instantly, putting distance between them, coldly stating, "Kian Sterling is my mate, his three tails severed, his condition unknown, am I not supposed to find him?"
"Mate?"
Mael Valerius suddenly laughed coldly, his Dragon Tail crashing and shattering half a cliff, "Cynthia, when you found me all those years ago, you promised to care for me forever..."
He clasped her waist tightly, the Dragon Scales scraping her painfully, "Now you want to renege?"
His voice grew softer, tinged with a hint of grievance.
Luna Sutton, struggling for breath under his grasp, silently cursed.
Those were the words of the original soul; she never said such things.
Yet, she dared not say it aloud.
Otherwise, Mael Valerius would surely be enraged enough to tear apart this interloping soul taking a magpie’s nest.
She feigned composure, but Mael Valerius’ eyes brimming with grievance sent tingles across her scalp.
Suddenly, she stomped hard on his tail, "Let go! If Kian Sterling dies, I’ll never forgive you again."
The anger that just ignited in Mael Valerius’ heart froze at her latter words.
He recalled how, in The Lower Domain, he had crushed her keepsake with that fox—the White Jade Whistle...
And when he tore off the fox’s three tails, Cynthia’s sorrowful tears; he was momentarily stunned.
His Dragon Tail loosened slowly, the dark golden in his eyes swirling with cloudy and obscure emotions.
He then brushed his fingers over Luna Sutton’s reddened lips, lightly rubbing.
With a sudden soft laugh, he said, "Cynthia cares so much for him... should I break three bones too, would you then..."
Luna Sutton was almost amused to anger by him, inclined to utter something harsh.
But fearing it might provoke him into a mad blood outbreak, risking further trouble.
Thinking how most men respond better to softness than hardness.
Her eyes darted swiftly, a plan forming in her mind; she discreetly pinched her own thigh, pain making her inhale sharply.
Then, with a look of extreme grievance.
Fearing she couldn’t cry, she discreetly took some chili seeds from her system’s backpack, dabbing them at the corners of her eyes, inciting torrents of tears.
Those chili seeds were intended as planting material, stored in the system’s backpack unused till now.
She suddenly wept fitfully, plopping onto the ground, crying and accusing, "Mael Valerius, you big jerk, you brought me here for no reason, I don’t even know where this is, unfamiliar with the place or the people, even if I want to find someone, I don’t know where to start, the only one I know is you, and yet you still bully me, sob sob... why am I so wretched..."
She cried shapelessly, tears mingling with sniffles, even blowing a bubble, which she awkwardly wiped away.
The sting of the chili seeds made her eyes bloodshot, resembling a bullied rabbit.
Mael Valerius was caught off guard by her sudden tears, his temper dissipating entirely.
His Dragon Tail swiftly transformed into legs, kneeling on one knee, clumsily attempting to wipe her tears, only to have his hand smacked away.
"Don’t touch me!"
Sniffling, Luna Sutton retreated, surreptitiously applying more chili seeds to her eyes, making the tears flow more fiercely, crying and lamenting, "You only ever go mad, Kian Sterling to save me, had three tails ripped away by you, he must have been in so much pain then?"
As she wiped her tears, she covertly dabbed more chili under her eyes, "Sob sob... how important tails are to a Nine-Tails White Fox, you ruined him for life, I just want to check on him..."
She hiccupped through her sobs, poking her finger at Mael Valerius’ chest, "Don’t you know how miserable Kian Sterling is now? If he dies, then I..."
Mael Valerius suddenly grasped her restless finger, dangerous light flickering in his dark golden eyes, "What will Cynthia do?"
"I will perish with you!"
She withdrew her hand, her teary eyes glaring at him.
Mael Valerius gazed steadily at her for a few seconds before chuckling, his fingertip brushing her swollen eye corner, "Cynthia’s tears... taste of spice?"
Luna Sutton’s expression froze.
This mad dragon has the nose of a sniffer dog?
Nervously, she turned her face away, only to be gently turned back by her chin.
Mael Valerius leaned down to lick away the chili seeds from her eye corner, his Adam’s apple bobbing, "Next time, use ginger; it’ll draw tears without burning the skin."
"Are you a dog?"
She kicked him on the shin, but he took advantage of the momentum to press her down into the grass.
Mael Valerius pinned her wrists above her head with one hand, his legs trapping her, "That fox cares quite a lot for you, no doubt attempting to find you, The Fox Clan’s main sect in Mount Veridia is far from here, just by yourself, it would take forever, maybe you’d be eaten by wild beasts on the way."
He suddenly leaned close to her ear, his breath hot but his expression complex, "I’ll take you there, as long as Cynthia doesn’t stay angry with me."
