The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 213 - 200: Missing (Part 2)
The tree trunk was shredded into pieces by Malachi Arcanus’s wolf claws, the sound roaring in the night wind: "Luna, if you don’t come out, I’ll tear the whole forest to pieces..."
Only the rustling of leaves answered him.
Zeke Veridian stood not far away, his emerald eyes as cold as ice.
He gathered a strand of azure Wind Blade at his fingertips, suddenly slicing his own palm.
Blood dripped to the ground, transforming into fine azure strands of light, spreading in all directions.
This was the highest-level Tracking Technique of the Beastmen, using blood as a guide.
It was also a Forbidden Technique, with the cost of dropping a rank.
"It’s useless."
Rhys Blackwood noticed this and instantly raised his hand to stop him, his voice indifferent as ice and snow, "Someone has blocked her aura."
Zeke Veridian’s Wind Blade suddenly dissipated in mid-air, and he looked up sharply at Rhys Blackwood: "What do you mean?"
In the darkness, Rhys Blackwood’s pupils had completely turned into vertical slits, surrounded by black mist: "Someone deliberately cut off the bond communication... There is something on Luna that we don’t know about."
This statement was like a knife stabbing into everyone’s hearts.
Malachi Arcanus frustratingly pulled at his hair: "Nonsense! What secrets could Luna possibly keep from us?"
Yet thinking of Luna Sutton’s mysterious methods, his voice gradually lowered.
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes flashed with bloodlust: "Find her! Even if we have to turn the entire Lower Domain upside down to find her, if she’s not here, I’ll go to Aetheria to search, and there will be a day when we find her."
He handed the three newborn cubs to a trusted elder female of the tribe for care.
Then he transformed into a Silver-moon Grey Wolf and leapt into the dense forest, disappearing without a trace.
Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Malachi Arcanus watched the direction where Corbin Crowley vanished.
Each of them transformed into their true forms, heading in different directions, searching like headless flies.
Luna Sutton hid in the bushes, wrapped in the Invisibility Cloak, steadfastly staying put.
Seeing them head off to search elsewhere, she felt a sense of relief.
But she didn’t rush to move out, fearing those men might suddenly return.
In her current state, she truly lacked the courage to face them.
Luna Sutton looked down at her feet, her toes covered in mud and broken leaves, the soles already cut by sharp stones and thorns, bleeding.
They looked dirty and miserable.
The cold wind blew, and her soles stung fiercely, pain shooting through them.
"Hiss..."
She winced in pain, thinking that even if she hadn’t just given birth, a normal person would probably catch a cold under such conditions.
Luckily, she had the Wood Element Ability.
Green light emerged from her palm, covering her feet, and the wounds healed at a visible speed.
Though still dirty, the wounds were indeed healed, prompting her to consider making herself a pair of shoes.
Walking barefoot was definitely not an option.
Thankfully, the annoying system hadn’t disabled her system backpack; otherwise, she would really cry.
Luna Sutton remembered there were beast skins, bone needles, and fish intestine threads in the system backpack, but these small items weren’t easy to keep track of, so she stored them in the system backpack.
Now they came in handy.
She had just opened the system backpack to get the beast skins and bone needles to make shoes.
Then she noticed a postpartum repair elixir in one of the slots.
Suddenly realizing this was a previous system reward that she had forgotten about.
While it couldn’t restore her appearance, it could at least help her body recover.
Preventing future health issues.
She shakily retrieved the elixir from the slot and swallowed it.
The elixir melted as soon as it touched her tongue, flowing as liquid throughout her body.
Luna Sutton watched in astonishment as the layers of fat on her body contracted like a receding tide.
The strange sensation of shifting beneath her skin caused her to bend over and retch.
"Ugh..."
This action caused the Invisibility Cloak covering her to slip halfway.
In the moonlight, her nearly 300-pound form shrank instantly to a normal size.
Elated, she reached for her face.
Her fingertips encountered the uneven bumps, a face full of acne and pustules, small eyes, a flat nose, and those buck teeth remained.
Her skin was dark and rough, though her body had returned to its pre-pregnancy shape.
"As expected..."
She smiled bitterly, tugging at her loose-fitting Beast Skin Skirt, relieved she no longer had to flee with 300 pounds of fat.
Moreover, the postpartum repair elixir had restored her body to its best condition.
Even without a postpartum recovery period, she wouldn’t suffer any lasting damage.
It wasn’t all bad, she thought with a touch of humor amidst her hardships.
Her attention returned to the system backpack. Ignoring the other items, she took out the beast skin, bone needle, and fish intestine thread.
Luna Sutton didn’t rush to leave, re-wrapping herself in the fallen Invisibility Cloak.
She sat there and began crafting shoes.
......
In Beast King City, the night was dark as ink, yet the Serene Moon Palace was brightly lit.
Kian Sterling lounged on the couch, playing with the Green Jade Whistle, a pair with the White Jade Whistle hanging around Luna Sutton’s neck, his eyes clouded and unclear.
"Third Prince, there’s news from The Wolf Tribe..."
Yuri Ashwood knelt on one knee, his voice hesitant.
"Speak."
Kian Sterling didn’t even lift an eyelid, his tone languid.
"Miss Sutton... has gone missing."
"Crack!"
The Green Jade Whistle was crushed in his hand, shards cutting deep into his palm, blood dripping through his fingers onto the snow-white fox tail, blossoming into glaring red.
Finn Arcanus hurriedly knelt down.
The guards and female slaves outside the hall knelt en masse, heads bowed, expressions fearful.
Kian Sterling slowly lifted his gaze, those fox eyes always carrying a smile now icy and chilling: "When did this happen?"
"Just last night. It’s said she refused to nurse after giving birth, had a disagreement with Corbin Crowley; what exactly happened in between no one knows, we only know she suddenly... returned to her former self."
Yuri Ashwood braced himself to add, "You’ve seen Miss Sutton’s former appearance too, Your Highness. She couldn’t bear the blow, so she snuck off alone; now the entire Wolf Tribe is searching for her."
The temperature inside the hall plummeted.
Kian Sterling gazed toward The Wolf Tribe, a sickly smile appearing on his androgynous face: "My Luna would rather hide in a dark corner, rot alone, than blow the Jade Whistle."
He rose from the soft couch, still wearing that sickly smile: "Prepare the mount, we’re heading to The Wolf Tribe now."
"But the Beast King tomorrow needs to..."
Yuri Ashwood looked up at Kian Sterling, his voice hesitant.
"Let him wait."
Kian Sterling flicked his sleeve, rising, trailing nine snow-white fox tails that left an afterglow, "My mate is missing, who has the leisure to care about such trifles?"
His fox tails swept past the hall’s lamps, the candle flames exploding into a burst of sparks, crackling intensely.
Yuri Ashwood heard the sound of bones shifting out of place.
"Your Highness, I’ll prepare the Flying Beast right away."
Finn Arcanus grabbed Yuri Ashwood, retreating swiftly. As the doors closed, there was a sound of porcelain shattering.
The Serene Moon Palace lights extinguished one by one.
Standing in the darkness, Kian Sterling licked the bloodstains on his palm and laughed softly: "Corbin Crowley... you dare push my Luna to decay, I’ll make you wish for life, unable to die."
