The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 130: The Storm Subsides
Luna Sutton’s mouth twitched, wishing she could give him a kick.
This guy did it on purpose, didn’t he?
Saying something like that in front of everyone is totally inciting hatred against her.
Sure enough, the Beastmen and females around them suddenly had complex expressions in their eyes.
Especially Mia, her gaze was filled with jealousy and resentment, wishing she could tear her apart.
Luna couldn’t be bothered to deal with him.
Corbin Crowley’s eyes were terrifyingly cold; he was still angry after fighting beasts all night yesterday, and hearing Rhys Blackwood’s comment about still having a sore waist was just adding fuel to the fire.
"Rhys Blackwood, I heard you took care of and disassembled the prey I caught last night, who allowed you to touch them?"
He spoke coldly, his voice carrying a bone-chilling chill.
Obviously looking for trouble.
Rhys Blackwood raised an eyebrow, a touch of provocation curled at the corner of his lips, coldly retorted, "Why, wasn’t killing beasts enough last night, do you want to take it out on me now?"
Luna Sutton inwardly groaned, why were these two at it again?
She quickly escaped from Rhys Blackwood’s embrace, looking towards Corbin Crowley, she chuckled awkwardly, "Um, Corbin, don’t misunderstand, you caught so much prey last night and piled it up at my cave entrance, blocking the way in, so I asked Rhys to handle them, please don’t be mad."
Corbin Crowley snorted coldly, his gaze still icy, but when he looked at her, the chill in his eyes slightly receded.
He stepped closer, his voice low, "Since you asked, then forget it."
Luna Sutton breathed a sigh of relief, secretly cursing this man’s foul temper.
Mia stared at Luna Sutton intensely, jealousy driving her mad.
But she was even more concerned about her own face now.
"Luna Sutton, even though I brought this upon myself, unlucky enough to hit a rock, can you say this has nothing to do with you?"
Although there was no blood flowing from Mia’s face, it was exceedingly grim and terrifying, her beauty significantly diminished as she walked out with a cold smile.
Seeing all attention focused on her, her heart filled with pride, she continued coldly, "Let’s not mention that this incident started because of you, yet we’re from the same clan, isn’t it too cold-hearted to just let it be? By behaving like this, what qualifications do you have to be a Priest Apprentice?"
With those words, surrounding Beastmen and females started discussing fervently.
Some sympathized with Mia, some enjoyed the spectacle, and some simply gossiped.
Others pointed fingers at Luna Sutton.
"Luna Sutton is too cold-hearted. Mia’s face is like this yet she refuses to heal her?"
"Exactly, being from the same clan, how can you ignore someone in distress?"
"Doesn’t she have Wood Healing Ability? Treating should be easy, right?"
"Could she be jealous of Mia’s beauty, deliberately ruining her face?"
...
Listening to the surrounding discussions, Luna Sutton smirked coldly, just about to say something.
Corbin Crowley walked out with a grim expression, his silver eyes glancing coldly at the crowd, his voice cutting like ice, "Are you questioning my companion?"
As soon as he said that, the surrounding discussions instantly ceased.
The crowd exchanged puzzled glances, none daring to speak up.
Mia’s face looked worse, she hadn’t expected Corbin Crowley to defend Luna Sutton like this, jealousy almost driving her insane.
Yet this wasn’t enough, Corbin Crowley’s next words drove her to despair.
"Mia, if you dare utter nonsense again, I don’t mind making you shut your mouth forever."
As soon as he spoke, Mia’s face turned deathly pale, as if drained of all blood.
She opened her mouth, but dared not make a sound, fearing truly angering Corbin Crowley.
Wolf Fang, Ignis, and Mia’s other seven Beast Husbands wore grim expressions, inwardly fuming.
Yet, faced with Corbin Crowley’s formidable strength, they dared not express their rage.
The surrounding Beastmen and females fell silent, not daring to utter a word.
Kian Sterling frowned slightly, Luna Sutton had painstakingly changed the tribe’s negative perception of her.
If she acquired a reputation for using her influence to intimidate, disregarding kin, cold-hearted and callous, it would be unwise.
He stepped forward, his tone gentle yet firm, "Corbin, though you’ve intimidated everyone, behind the scenes rumors might damage Luna’s reputation."
Turning his gaze to Mia, his pretty, foxy eyes carried a hint of coldness, "Mia, since this started because of you, perhaps if you apologize to Luna, she might agree to help heal your face."
As soon as he finished, everyone’s gaze focused avidly on Mia, the atmosphere tense.
Mia’s expression turned ugly, her chest heaving violently, as if a breath stuck in her throat, neither let out nor swallowed.
She glared viciously at Luna Sutton, her eyes venomous.
Apologize to this ugly slop? That would be more unbearable than dying.
Rhys Blackwood’s lips pressed tightly, his expression cold as frost, sweeping his gaze over Mia, he said blandly, "No apology, then leave."
Zeke Veridian stood by, his bright green eyes carrying some amusement, as though watching a comedic spectacle.
Malachi Arcanus crossed his arms, a small upward curve on his lips, acting as if it had nothing to do with him.
Luna Sutton sighed, while she despised Mia, she didn’t want to gain a reputation for bullying.
She looked at Mia, her tone calm, "Forget the apology, I’ll heal your face. But you must swear an oath to the Beast God, should you ever dare harm me in secret, you’ll end up as a beast’s meal, dying painfully."
In beast world, they deeply revered the Beast God, once an oath was made, few dared to break it.
As for the apology, it wasn’t necessary, since it wouldn’t be sincere anyway.
Mia sneered, swear an oath? How could she possibly swear before the Beast God.
Did this ugly slop think she could control her with such a trick?
Dream on!
She turned to Rhys Blackwood, her tone icy, "Rhys, as a powerful figure of the tribe, are you just going to let her humiliate clan mates like this?"
Rhys Blackwood’s expression didn’t change, his lips slightly parted, his voice cold as ice, "What’s it got to do with me?"
Mia’s heart trembled, she gritted her teeth, suppressing her fear, sneered, "Fine, if you won’t help me, I’ll go find a witch doctor and priest, I’m sure they can heal my face."
With that, she turned and left without looking back.
Even if the witch doctors and priests couldn’t heal her, she could find another tribe.
Beast world was vast boundless, with countless tribes, surely someone could heal her face.
Merely at the cost of some price.
Wolf Fang, Ignis, and Mia’s other seven Beast Husbands watched her departing figure, exchanging glances.
For a moment unsure of what to do.
Wolf Fang frowned slightly, intending to stop Mia, to him, apologizing and swearing, was it so difficult?
But reconsidering, maybe going to find a witch doctor was a good idea, perhaps they really had a solution.
If a witch doctor could actually heal Mia’s face, then there’d be no need to ask Luna Sutton.
With those thoughts, he let Mia leave without extending a hand to stop her.
After Mia left, Luna Sutton looked around, seeing varied expressions, she scoffed coldly.
Lightly said, "Since Mia doesn’t want to, so be it. But, I still want to remind everyone, with the Beast God above, good and evil have results, those harboring ill intentions will eventually face consequences."
With those words, the crowd exchanged furtive glances, each harboring private thoughts.
Corbin Crowley stood beside her, a hint of approval in his silver eyes, coldly said, "Dismissed."
The group dispersed as though given amnesty, leaving hurriedly.
Kian Sterling looked towards Luna Sutton, smiling, "Yesterday seeing you sleeping soundly, I didn’t have the heart to wake you, today you ought to make us good food, right? Tomorrow morning, we’re heading to the Cliffbottom Salt Lake."
As soon as he said that, Corbin Crowley, Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Malachi Arcanus instantly focused their gazes on Luna Sutton.
Especially Zeke Veridian, his expression fierce, as if she’d better agree, else he’d switch to his sharp-tongued mode.
Malachi Arcanus also displayed a look that implied refusal wasn’t an option.
Luna Sutton’s mouth twitched, cursing inwardly, these guys are truly bothersome.
Reluctantly nodded, "Alright, I’ll make you guys a grand meal today."
Seeing her agreement, the five were delighted, excited for delicious food today.
Rhys Blackwood approached, showing unexpected tenderness like an ice mountain melting, "Will it be too tiring? Need my help?"
