"You look great,’’ Bells walks up to me and taps my shoulder. Her tone is mocking and I can see that she is enjoying this a little too much.

"I look stupid,’’ I pout because I haven’t even left my room and I want to take this shit off. This is not good for me. This is a public party and I just got the people of the community to start taking me seriously.

I shouldn’t do this.

"Why are you the one wearing this, I get that this is your kids favourite cartoon character but Rex already offered to put it on.’’

She is basically just rubbing it in right now. This must be fun for her. "I am taking this off,’ I start to tug for the zip at the back. The door opens and Lanis walks into the room with a wide smile on his face.

"You look adorable,’’ he walks over to me and cups my face in his palms. I look in the mirror again. I am trying to understand how this is adorable. The costume is a creamy white colour—it almost looks faded, or dirty. The ears are long and fluffy. The only part of my body that is visible in my face.

I hate this.

"Why did I agree to this again?’’ I ask him gruffly.

He chuckles "Because you love your kids. You want them to be happy."

I do love my kids but that is not the reason why I agreed to this. The reason why I agreed to this is because I am a horny motherfucker and I saw sex on the table and took it instantly.

I should have had some self-control, maybe I wouldn’t be in this mess right now. "I don’t think I can go through with this.’’

Bell’s laughs in the background. I turn to her immediately and my glare is angry. I don’t even think I can even look angry right now.

"You can’t go back on your word. I think I know how to convince you.’ he walks out of the room before I can even understand what he is saying and in a second he is back with Colm and Colin. They are on their feet but they scurry into the room with so much speed and excitement.

"Bunny man,’’ Colm screams excitedly.

He stops in front of my legs and wraps his arms around it, trying to get me to lift him up. Colin is behind him, his eyes are wide. He might be quiet but I know what this is. He is just as excited as his brother.

They are both dressed up in identical clothes.

They look so fucking adorable right now.

That is what I will call adorable, not this mess I am.

I lift them both up at the same time.

"You can’t say no again,’’ Lanis teases me. He is doing this intentionally but he is right. I can’t say no.

"I don’t have to go outside, they can see me right now."

He rolls his eyes "It’s a children’s birthday party, don’t you want the other kids to see you?’’

I shake my head.

Fuck other kids.

"Fuck other kids.’’

I say it out loud which gets a glare from Lanis "Not in front of them,’’ he warns me. They are so engrossed in me being a bunny that I doubt they are even paying attention.

"Come on, guests are already here. You can’t stay cooped up inside."

"Let’s go to the party daddy,’’ Colin shouts excitedly and he is my weakness. My little boy that rarely speaks is excited because I am in this costume. How can I turn him down now? My balls have been completely crushed by this little one. There is no way that I will refuse. I tilt my head backwards and he grabs my ear with a loud giggle. He is finding this amusing and I am loving every second of it.

"Come on, let’s get the show on the road, ’’ I exclaim as I hold them tighter. I have become accustomed to carrying the two of them at the same time. My body is always on alert when they are with me.

It is almost like second nature.

Who would have thought that at the age of twenty, I have two kids? I WAS the immature kid just before they were both and now I am the Alpha of the pack and a father.

My biggest accomplishment in life is my babies.

I would do anything for them.

Even wear this bunny costume in front of everyone. We walk out of the house and I hear the music before we even get outside. It wasn’t supposed to be a big thing but Lanis probably went all out—like he usually does.

Once I get out of the house, the bouncy house is the first thing I see. It is the biggest thing in the compound. Colm starts to nudge me, I know he wants to get off me and go play "I want to jump daddy,’’ he whines.

There are already people seated under the canopies. The members of the pack, their children.

"Sure," I tell him, slowly placing him down on the ground, Bells walks over to him and grabs him by his hand.

"I got him,’’ she tells me as they walk away.

Colin is still gripping me tight. He doesn’t want to let go of me. I don’t mind holding him. Colin is shy, he has always been this way. I don’t think he has really come out of his shell.

He will though.

"Stay with daddy?’’ I ask him.

He nods immediately, burying his head in my chest. I hold him tighter "You’re such a sucker for them,’’ Lanis smiles at me.

He knows it.

I know it.

"Yeah, they are the only ones that could make me do this right now,’’ I confess. I love Lanis, with all my heart but this thing with my kids, the love I have for them is a different kind of love.

It is unconditional.

I would think about them before I think about myself.
