The Web of Knightspur-Chapter 77: [Bonus - ]
Raul’s eyes widened as he did not know what to say to that.
"Are you sure?" Doctor Raul said in a sharp tone. He soon realized how his voice echoed in the room as he tried to maintain his volume, "My Lord is interested in someone?"
Sir Kit laughed as he looked at his childhood friend, "Is it so hard to believe? Are you not the one who always told me to get married?"
"I did tell you that, I still do but..." Raul was speechless. His eyes looked at his best friend as he said with a sharp tone, "To be honest I want you to get married, everyone does but not with some unknown lady. You need to be careful about such things."
"I know," Sir Kit said with a smile, "And you, my friend, should marry too. Your mother is worried and might kiss me for keeping you busy with work."
Raul chuckled as he got up from the chair, "I will get married when I fall in love. Anyway, I will go and search for this perfume. Give me some time and I will tell you if this thing has any kind of poison."
Sir Kit nodded his head as he saw Raul leave the room. And soon the silence engulfed Sir Kit as he looked outside through the window, "So Priest Erasmus wants to meet all. I wonder what message God has sent now,"
Sir Kit blew away all the candles as she took his mask off. He needed some rest before tomorrow brought some troublesome things for him.
Sir Kit closed his eyes as he thought about a silly promise he had made, ’And I have to think of ways to convince all that Princess Eleanor will be safe at Beaumont mansion?’
Sir Kit took a deep breath before trying to calm his nerves. There are many things he had to take care of and all of them will start tomorrow.

"Why are we called here?"
"It must be important,"
"Did a new prophecy come?"
"Are we going to find out how to search for our Crown Princess?"
Many voices emerged in the room as everyone sat on their respective chairs. But all the murmurs quieted down when the door opened and the Emperor and Crown Prince came out.
Everyone stood up from their chairs as they bowed to the Emperor and the Crown Prince. Their black hairs look like dark nights. Their eyes were sharp as their aura showed their strength.
Everyone was silent but soon another surprise came to them when they saw Duke Beaumont walking into the room. He was wearing armor as his black hair waved in the air.
Duke Beaumont bowed in front of the Royal family as he said, "Your Majesty, the Emperor. Your Majesty, the Crown Prince,"
The Emperor looked at his nephew as his eyes narrowed, "You are late Christopher,"
Duke Beaumont looked up as his eyes moved toward the Royal family, "I apologize but I had to make sure that all the candidates are safe."
"Did the Duke do a good job at that?" The Crown Prince asked as he raised his eyebrows. His sharp facial feature made him look like an angel making all the hearts of the ladies in the Empire melt. But at this moment he looked angry. His gaze was sharp as he demanded answers from the man.
Duke Christopher Beaumont did not have any answers. He knew that two of the princesses were hurt but they were alive and that was what mattered.
"I hope the Duke can explain the situation," The Emperor said as he looked at Duke Beaumont.
The Emperor knew that if his son, Crown Prince Richard was called the day, his nephew, Duke Christopher was called the night.
Both of them gave different energies. Crown Prince Richard was happy and brought a smile to everyone’s face, especially the ladies. His personality pulled everyone towards him but for Duke Christopher, it was completely opposite. The Grand Duke was a man that was dangerous and mysterious. He was someone who did not look twice at anyone and that also sent the ladies flying towards him, but the man in question was never interested in such things. All he was interested in was wars.
"All the Kingdoms are under investigation and we will find the culprit soon. We will not let the people responsible for this life." Duke Christopher said with a smile but his eyes were sharp,
It was this killer aura that made it difficult for everyone to look at him. The Emperor knew that most of the nobles were afraid of the Grand Duke and the Grand Duke himself was not interested in the throne. Maybe that was the reason the Grand Duke did not do treason even though he had the support of some nobles.
"I hope the Princesses are not harmed. Although I heard one of the Princess was seriously harmed," It was a small voice but its impact was great. The man’s tone was gentle but his words were sharp
Duke Christopher looked at the man who said those words, sitting beside the Emperor’s seats. He was there the whole time but was ignored.
"Priest Erasmus," Duke Christopher stared at him as he tried to explain, "We were in the battle of survival. We should say that it was our lunch that the princess was only hurt and nothing else happened to her."
"But if it leaves a mark then she will be impure in the eyes of G.."
"I am well aware of that," Duke Christopher cut through Priest Erasmus’s words as he looked straight at the Priest, "But an alive Princess is much better than the dead one, at least, till the time we know for sure who is the one Princess from the prophecy."
Priest Erasmus closed his eyes as if he was trying to control his emotions, "Who might be responsible for her,"
"I will be," Duke Christopher said as his gaze turned serious, "House Beaumont will be responsible for the Princess of Angevin Kingdom."
