The Villain's Little Cat-Chapter 1
Chapter 1: The Changing World𝘧r𝑒𝘦𝒘𝘦𝙗novel.𝐜o𝒎
The sky was dark red in color.
Inside a classroom inside one of the university, there were a lot of students who were listening to their teacher teaching some materials.
Sitting inside the classroom, a young woman was nodding her head as if her head was too heavy. After nodding a few times, she nearly slipped and naturally sat straighter.
The young woman’s name was Kate. She lacked sleep last night due to her professor’s homework and now couldn’t concentrate fully in class. Her eyes glanced at the window beside her, looking at the dark red sky.
This strange phenomenon had been going on for some time and Kate didn’t know how long it would last. So far, there has been strange red cloud all over the world and no one could explain the reason.
“It’s raining.”
Kate blinked her eyes. It seemed that the rain was somewhat red in color.
What a strange phenomenon.
.....
Ring! Ring! Ring!
The bell rang and Kate tidied her books. She was 21 years old and this was her third year in university. She glanced at her friend who was also sat up straight when the bell rang.
“You’re also sleeping?”
“What do you mean sleeping? I’m only daydreaming.” She snorted and tidied her desk.
Kate chuckled.
The professor also looked at his watch and then said in his low voice, “The class is over, you may leave now. Don’t forget to read the materials for the next meeting.”
“Yes, Professor!”
The students were naturally more excited when the class was over. They wanted to leave as fast as possible and play outside. There would be a small basketball game after the class was over.
*meow*
As Kate walked to the front, she could see the small white colored kitten on Professor Kyle’s desk. The kitten was only a few weeks old and still looked like a small furry ball.
Normally, Professor Kyle wouldn’t bring the kitten around. He only brought the small kitten to the vet and hadn’t had the time to go home, so he could only bring the cat to the classroom.
The girls naturally didn’t mind.
They even stared at the kitten with heated gaze, wanting to have the chance to stroke such a cute little creature.
But Professor Kyle’s strict and cold face prevented them from doing so.
Really...
They couldn’t understand why this cold professor even brought such a little kitten around. The image simply didn’t match!
“Are you going to watch the basketball game?” Kate’s friend, Lucy, asked curiously.
Kate shook her head. “I haven’t finished the homework yet.”
“Tsk, what a model student you are.”
Kate merely smiled. As she took her phone from her pocket, she noticed that there was an unread message from the group. She pursed her lips and then heard scream from the front.
“Hey! What happened to you?”
“Are you alright?”
Hearing the series of questions, Kate arched her eyebrows. She noticed that the university’s belle, Lotus, crouched while holding her head. It seemed as if she was hurt.
Lucy rolled her eyes. “She’s attracting attention again. This is already the fourth time this week.”
Kate showed a helpless smile.
Because Lotus had such a great figure and face, a lot of boys liked her. Some girls didn’t like her because they felt that she was too fake, including Lucy, who didn’t want to get close to Lotus at all.
Kate replied the message and was about to put her phone on her bag when she noticed that her supposed pencil case was not there. She sighed. “I’m going back first. My pencil case is still in class.”
“Don’t take too long.” Lucy waved her hand.
“I won’t.”
Kate pursed her lips and returned back to the classroom. She took her student card and scanned it on the scanner before pushing the door. Since this was engineering faculty, their teacher seemed to have taken it upon themselves to have the most advanced technology in their faculty.
This automatically locked door was one of them. The students would have to use their card to open the look, which would naturally record their in and out.
Naturally, when they wanted to go back home, just one student is enough because they can hold the door open. If they have to get out one by one, that would be too tiring to do.
Kate walked inside.
*meow*
The small white cat had somehow walked to the ground. When Kate walked forward, the small cat called, causing Kate to stop. She liked fluffy little cat too because they were simply too cute.
Kyle looked at Kate and arched his eyebrows. “Something?”
“My pencil case is left behind, please excuse me, Professor.” Kate bowed down and dodged his eyes. She wanted to move but the little cat near her legs didn’t want to move at all and kept on stroking her calf.
Kate felt embarrassed.
She liked small kittens and they usually liked her too. It might be because she had some affinity with animals that they would also respond when she called them.
Kyle was still cleaning his desks. There were several books placed there and Kate had to admit that she would never be able to understand all of them.
Seeing that the professor didn’t seem to be willing to help, Kate crouched down. “Little kitty, big sister wants to go, okay?”
The cat meowed again.
Kate felt her heart melt with such cute gesture. However, she restricted it and put the little kitten to the side.
Just as she was about to put the cat away, there was a loud thunder outside.
BANG!
At this moment, Kate felt as if something hit her head. Her body dropped to the ground and her vision turned blurry. All she could see was the small cat in her hands and also the professor who seemed to have fallen down too.
‘What in the world happened?’
