The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 91: My Beast Husband, I Will Handle Him Myself
The earth beneath their feet was stamped with deep marks.
On the road, Seraphina suddenly saw a group of Leopard Clan males rushing out from various tents, running like mad in the same direction.
They were wrapped in heavy beast skin skirts, which flapped wildly in the wind as they ran.
She leaned against Gideon’s chest, reaching out to poke his shoulder.
"Why are so many males running towards the entrance? What’s happening? Is something wrong with the Leopard Clan?"
"Usually, only when the tribe is severely threatened, does everyone become alert."
Gideon’s steps slowed slightly, his brows furrowing, eyes scanning the surroundings warily.
The shadows of the trees swayed, the grass rustled softly.
There was a tense atmosphere filling the air.
"It’s mostly likely some large beast is invading. The borders have been unstable recently, beast disturbances becoming frequent. If a High Rank Dire Beast approaches, The Council of Elders will definitely issue a warning immediately. If a real fight breaks out, chaos would ensue and no one could look out for one another. I can’t let you get involved."
"But I’m more afraid Isaac will be mistaken as a beast!"
She urgently slapped his back.
"In his current state, with chilling energy seeping out, eyes changing color, actions without any pattern, others won’t recognize him as tribe kin! Even if fierce beasts attack, so many Leopard Clan members gathered can withstand! But if Isaac is mistaken as an attacker and surrounded, subdued, or even injured on the spot... Then there’s truly no saving him!"
Gideon could hear the fear in her voice.
It wasn’t for herself, but for her only kin.
He clenched his jaw slightly, ultimately unable to refuse her.
The real danger didn’t come from external enemies.
The warmth of the person he was holding pressed against him, her light breaths falling gently by his neck.
Compared to Isaac’s danger, he feared more that she would get hurt.
He wasn’t afraid of battle, or bleeding, or death.
His only fear was seeing her fall in a pool of blood, eyes looking at him, but unable to speak anymore.
The moment they rushed to the tribe’s entrance, a chaotic sound of argument crashed into his ears.
Seraphina immediately saw Wyatt surrounded by a group of Leopard Clan beastfolk.
He stood still, chilling energy continuously emanating from him.
His claws were already out, eyes transformed to a ghostly blue.
Beside him, Kaelan and Evan were tense as tightly drawn bows, standing shoulder to shoulder protecting him.
Their tails were tightly tucked between their legs.
This was an instinctive response of extreme tension.
The two were staring intently at the surrounding Leopard Clan warriors, afraid to move.
"Wyatt!"
Seraphina jumped down from Gideon’s hold, disregarding standing steady, frantically pushing away the obstructing male beastfolk.
"Move aside! He’s my Beast Husband! He’s not the enemy!"
Pushing to the front, she held back a breath.
Isaac lay on the ground, muscles tense like stone.
His fingers dug deep into the earth, hair tangled and pressed against his face.
Those once gentle eyes now glowed blood red.
Caspian’s foot was crushing his face, the boot cruelly grinding into his cheek.
Mud was smeared all over his nose and lips.
He was pinned down, unable to move, only able to emit low, hoarse whimpers.
Seraphina looked at the face usually so beautiful it was hard to pull one’s eyes away from, now covered in mud by the boot.
She took two steps forward, her foot snapping several dry branches with a crisp "crack".
"Caspian! Let go of my Beast Husband! What right do you have to treat him like this!"
Caspian slowly turned his head, his brows faintly moving at the sound.
He saw Seraphina standing a few steps away, fists clenched, white-knuckled, eyes full of fury.
It was his first time seeing her like this.
No longer her usual polite, gentle manner.
Now she looked more like a cat whose tail was stepped on, fur all standing up, baring teeth ready to pounce and tear.
Out of nowhere, a fire rose in his chest, like something blocking him.
He clearly knew he should release his foot and step away now.
Yet at that moment, he tightened his grip on Isaac’s wrist even more.
"Seraphina, he’s out of control, almost hurting a tribe child earlier. Going near, you’d be risking your life. If you get closer, it’s too dangerous."
With these words, Seraphina’s anger subsided slightly.
She knew Caspian was the Clan Leader, responsible for protecting the entire tribe.
Stopping Isaac was to protect everyone.
Stepping on his face... maybe not intentional.
She quickly squatted by Isaac, knees on the muddy ground, indifferent to the dirt.
She extended a trembling hand, voice soft like coaxing a child.
"Isaac, wake up, look at me, do you recognize me? It’s Seraphina, open your eyes and look at me."
Isaac’s chest heaved violently.
He heard her voice, his blood-red eyes suddenly trembled.
"Seraphina..."
Her heart softened, tears almost bursting out.
"He’s not mad! He recognizes me! My Beast Husband, I’ll handle him myself, don’t trouble yourself!"
Caspian, swept by her cold glance, felt a sudden heaviness in his heart.
The aloofness in her gaze made his previously tense fingers inadvertently loosen.
He watched her help Isaac up, gently brushing his messy hair aside.
Suddenly he felt, he had meddled a bit too much earlier.
Yet the suppressed feeling in his chest lingered stubbornly.
His throat moved slightly, finally unable to hold back speaking.
"He’s a Green Rank Beastman, if he loses control again, he could wreck the entire camp. If anything happens, call me, there are males nearby. They won’t stand by."
Seraphina paused her action, looking up at him.
Her gaze was no longer as sharp as before, carrying a more complex scrutiny.
The worry in his eyes wasn’t feigned.
His brows slightly furrowed, eyes never leaving Isaac.
Such expression couldn’t be mimicked by someone pretending to care.
Seraphina saw clearly, and for this reason.
The vigilance within her quietly eased a bit.
Perhaps... he was just afraid Isaac would hurt people.
Isaac now mentally uncontrolled, energy surging.
If he really went berserk in the tribe, the consequences would be unimaginable.
As Clan Leader, Caspian naturally had to ensure the Leopard Clan’s safety.
His intervention wasn’t out of hostility.
"Thanks for the reminder. We’ll leave now, not to trouble the Leopard Clan."
She didn’t want her group’s situation bringing danger to an already resource-strained tribe.
Moreover, Isaac’s current condition was highly unstable, traveling rashly would only worsen things.
"No way."
Caspian blocked immediately.
Before his words settled, the surrounding air seemed to stiffen slightly.
He stood there, arms hanging at his sides.
Then, realizing his words might be inappropriate, he added.
"In his current state, it’s not suitable to move. Go back to your previous dwelling, wait until he’s completely stable before leaving."
Knowing his initial reaction was too rigid, potentially causing misunderstanding, he deliberately clarified.
Isaac’s mind was unclear at present, internal energy chaotic.
If traveling long distances, there might be life-threatening situations.
"Today’s males won’t hunt, they can keep an eye here, there won’t be problems."
He further explained the reason, his tone more gentle.
