The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 134: I’ve Set My Sights on You
He paused for a moment, continuing to comfort her.
"Your father chose Kaelan in the past, perhaps because the situation forced him to make a quick decision, eager to continue his journey without the time to carefully choose. This time, when he returns, he will surely consider seriously. Maybe as soon as he stepped into the Tiger Clan’s territory, he met someone suitable?"
Seraphina bit her lower lip, slowly raising her eyes to look at him.
Soon after breakfast, the sun had already climbed to the treetops.
Gideon’s mating season had finally passed, no longer needing to guard Seraphina closely at all times.
However, Isaac was still in his mating season, could only soak in a tub filled with cold water to cool down, unable to even stand steadily.
He naturally could not bear the responsibility of carrying her forward.
Therefore, Wyatt voluntarily took over the task of looking after her.
He transformed into a half-beast form, supporting her knee with one hand.
With the other hand, he casually pulled down a sycamore leaf, holding it high to shield her from the blazing sun overhead.
She watched him, holding her with one hand while the other struggled to hold up the leaf.
"Aren’t you... tired?"
Wyatt looked down at her, the corners of his lips curving slightly.
"Seraphina, do you think I can’t carry you? Or do you doubt the steadiness of my arm?"
Seeing her hastily shake her head, his lips curved up slightly.
Then he leaned closer again, his nose accidentally brushing past her soft hair.
"Afraid I’m heavy, or afraid that I’ll crush you?"
Before she could answer, he suddenly lowered his head, his lips quickly pressing against hers.
Then, he continued speaking.
"Not heavy... I actually think... you’re too light."
He paused, his gaze falling on her slender wrist, frowning slightly.
"This frame, I’m afraid a gust of wind could topple you, and when the rainy season comes..."
He stopped abruptly in the middle of his sentence.
He suddenly raised his eyes, his gaze locking onto the winding mountain path ahead past Seraphina’s shoulder.
Mist shrouded the mountains, trees loomed darkly.
That half-sentence was eventually swallowed back down.
Seraphina’s heart was pounding.
She stared blankly at Wyatt’s profile, her heart in turmoil.
What’s wrong with being thin?
Could it be that the Primal Age’s rainy season chooses its victims based on body size?
The more she thought about it, the more something seemed off. Just as she was about to speak up and question it, a sharp shout suddenly exploded overhead.
"Be careful! The Eagle Clan is here!"
Almost as soon as Evan’s voice dropped, Wyatt suddenly spun around and flung Seraphina behind him.
Isaac had long been ready for battle, his arms spread wide, catching her steadily.
Immediately, he wrapped his arms around her, firmly protecting her in front of his chest.
Isaac had just climbed out of the wooden tub, his wet hair still dripping, his upper body naked.
At this moment, the Green Rank Beast Ring on his wrist suddenly lit up.
He was the highest-ranking Beastfolk here, just one step away from the Blue Rank.
With him personally guarding Seraphina, not even the Eagle Clan, nor any fierce beast from Norgate, could get close to her.
Seraphina was held too tightly.
She strained to look up, seeing more than ten eagles diving down from high in the sky.
The wind howled, setting the leaves swirling through the air.
The leading Peregrine was the first to land, its wings suddenly folding.
Its body twisted violently when it touched down, flesh and bones contorting and cracking.
Within a few breaths, it had transformed into a human shape.
A tall and burly figure, shoulders emblazoned with the unique totem of the Eagle Clan.
The Beast Ring on his arm glimmered with a deep blue glow; it was Silas.
His gaze was fixed directly on Seraphina.
"Last time, I let you slip through my fingers; this time, you won’t escape."
Wyatt stood at the forefront.
His eyes grew cold, his pupils narrowing to fine lines.
"Last time, you caught me off guard and secretly abducted my Female Master, and I haven’t settled that score with you yet."
He sneered, the Green Rank Beast Ring on his arm trembling slightly.
"Now you dare to come and snatch her openly? Aren’t you afraid of the Beast Law’s wrath, incurring divine punishment?"
Silas threw his head back and laughed.
He glanced casually at Wyatt’s arm and its Green Rank Beast Ring.
"Wrath? Who will punish me?"
His gaze swept over, finally skimming over Seraphina’s face coldly.
"With just a few of you weak-ranked Beastfolk? Or do you plan to run to the Hall of the Beast King right now to complain and beg for his decree?"
He paused, his tone turning even more arrogant.
"The Beast King governs, but you... can’t even meet him. Don’t say meeting him; even if you knelt outside the palace gates for three days and nights, you wouldn’t qualify to report."
Seraphina’s face suddenly turned pale. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
She realized.
This man truly intended to kill them.
Truly intended to wipe them out, leaving no survivors.
The Eagle Clan members, over a dozen of them, stood densely at the cliff’s edge.
The two strongest of the Green Rank were stable in their aura, holding formation in the rear.
In contrast, on her side, the strongest was Isaac who had just advanced to Green Rank, with an unstable foundation.
The rest were all First Rank or Second Rank youths, hardly capable of defending themselves; if a fight ensued, they stood no chance of victory.
She forced herself to remain calm.
"Silas, I’ve said it before, I won’t choose you. You’re so powerful, naturally gifted, and have abundant resources. It’s not hard to find a better Female Master. Why obsess over me?"
"Of course, there are females."
Silas sneered.
"But none worthy of you."
He stepped forward, gaze lingering on her, sweeping over her face inch by inch.
"I’ve decided on you. No one else will do, only you."
"Come with me, I promise to spare them. I won’t leave one behind, I’ll let them all go, give them a way out. As long as you nod, I’ll wave them off right now."
Seraphina’s heart tightened.
She knew he dared to fulfill these words.
Silas wasn’t one to make promises lightly; if he said it, he would do it.
But she also knew, once she went with him, there would be no turning back.
What awaited her would be endless confinement and imprisonment.
She’d rather die than follow a madman.
A madman who would stop at nothing to achieve his ends, who would trample even clan rules.
After a few moments of silence, she slowly raised her head.
"I want to go to the Tiger Clan to find my father; it’s been my long-held wish. Let me pass, and once I’ve met him, I... will seriously consider you. I swear, I won’t run."
"Didn’t you always say you wanted me to willingly accept? At least let me see him first. Once I’ve seen him, only then might I truly let go of the past, right?"
Silas suddenly laughed.
He shook his head, continuing to speak.
"Seraphina, do you really believe Caden is at the Tiger Clan? I’ve told you before that I know where he is. Why don’t you ask me? Why don’t you trust me?"
Seeing Seraphina’s eyes flicker, Silas pressed on, continuing to speak.
"Right now, here, give me a drop of blood, form a Contract, swear your allegiance to me with your blood. I’ll immediately tell you where Caden is. Seraphina, do you dare?"
Seraphina’s heart wrenched suddenly.
Her father’s whereabouts were more important than her life.
But she dared not trust a single word from Silas.
This man was too ruthless, too venomous, willing to weave any lie, say anything to have her.
She stared at him, her lips trembling slightly.
"Do you... really know where my father is? Are you telling the truth? You’re not lying to me?"
Silas reached his hand toward her.
"Of course. I never lie. Come, give me your hand. Prick your fingertip, let a drop of blood fall into my palm, and I’ll speak immediately. I swear on the bloodline of the Eagle Clan, as long as you keep your promise, I’ll tell you where Caden is at once."
