The Villainess Redeems Herself, The Beast Husbands are in a Daily Love Battle-Chapter 117: Alone
Selene Kane couldn’t help but secretly laugh, the corners of her mouth quietly rising.
She thought to herself how Caleb Shaw appeared cold and aloof.
Actually, he’s quite simple, handing his true heart over so quickly.
Turns out he can blush, lower his head, and express his love in the clumsiest of ways.
She was so moved that her nose tingled, tears brimming in her eyes.
The system suddenly emerged and poured a bucket of cold water on her.
"Reminder to the host, this true heart comes from Sinclair, please do not mistake it for someone else."
"System reward: Pregnancy duration halved!"
Selene’s face instantly changed dramatically, a flash of shock flickering in her eyes.
She abruptly lifted her foot and fiercely kicked Caleb Shaw.
She quickly retreated several steps, her back pressed tightly against the wall, protecting herself with her hands.
Caleb Shaw staggered from the kick, his gaze darkening for a moment.
His Adam’s apple slightly moved, his chest felt stuffy, and he only felt a dull pain in his heart.
Selene didn’t want to forgive him at all.
He remained silent, slowly standing straight from the ground.
"If you don’t want to see me now, I can leave."
"I won’t go far, as long as you need me, I can come back anytime."
Saying these words, he quietly gave Selene a glance.
That glance was so complex, it seemed to carry countless unspoken words.
But in the end, all emotions sank to the bottom of his eyes.
He slowly, resolutely turned around, his footsteps heavy as he walked to the neighboring study.
Selene’s mind exploded with a "boom."
Her eyes widened, her voice nearly breaking: "What do you mean halved? Explain it to me!"
The system was long accustomed to her rampaging mode, its tone as calm as reading an irrelevant product manual.
"Please calm down, this is a benefit, deservedly yours."
"Benefit?!"
Selene fiercely punched the wall.
"You call this a benefit? Are you serious? Do you misunderstand what ’benefit’ means?"
The system’s voice remained calm.
"It’s quite a bargain. Originally, it took six months to conceive, now it’s just three months, efficiency doubled."
"I want to die on the spot now."
Selene gritted her teeth, her face was ashen, her whole body shaking.
Three months to have one?
Wouldn’t that mean four a year?
Is she a cow?
Or a sow in a production team?
A terrifying image of herself waddling back and forth with her big belly, giving birth, and getting pregnant again flashed in her mind.
The whole person was on the verge of collapse.
She let out a scream akin to a pig being slaughtered.
Caleb Shaw next door heard the scream, suddenly stopping his steps.
His brows knitted tightly, his lips pressed into a straight line.
Does she really dislike me that much?
He looked down at his hand, unconsciously turning the ring on his finger.
Before, he always felt this ring was a shackle.
But now, this ring strangely gave him a hint of comfort.
At least, he was still her legitimate husband, not one of those easily replaceable outsiders.
And, they’ve already had a child together.
Even if she hates him now, resists him.
But the blood ties have long entwined them tightly, inseparable.
He raised his finger, cold lips gently touching the ring.
In the room, Ethan Sinclair was happily packing his luggage, humming an unknown cheerful tune, his little canine teeth playfully exposed, his fluffy ears twitching.
His tail wagged around in circles, like a cheerful little spring.
The whole person seemed to have drunk a whole pot of honey water, the silly smile on his face never stopped from morning to night.
Evan Sinclair stood aside, hands in his pockets, his brows tightly knitted, glaring coldly at the scene before him.
"Hey, are you really moving out? Not living with me anymore?"
From childhood to adulthood, the two of them were like shadows, inseparable, sleeping on the same bed, wearing the same coat, even their hearts seemed connected.
But now, this silly brother is actually determined to move away for a female?
Ethan nodded, carefully tucking his last piece of clothing into his bundle.
He tightened the mouth of the bundle and patted the bag with his hand.
Confirming nothing was left out, a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"The Female Master is really good to us now."
His tone was sincere, eyes bright.
"And she’s pregnant with Shaw’s child, which means she truly wants to accept us, not pretending. Living together wouldn’t be appropriate, what if she wants to talk to us, share her thoughts... Always being around would be too inconvenient."
Evan rolled his eyes, his mouth curled disdainfully.
"Then stay together, what’s inconvenient about that?"
He snorted coldly.
"Hasn’t it always been this way? She asks us to come over, we go over, both serving her, it’s not the first time."
She used to be the most repulsive.
Taking advantage of her status as Female Master, ordering them around, speaking harsh words was bad enough.
The fact that she used their twin telepathy to do nauseating things made it worse.
While touching him, she would have the other one wait outside.
Using spiritual power to connect, sensing his emotional fluctuations, satisfying her twisted sense of possession.
Now Ethan is actually hoping she’ll come to him?
Is his brain waterlogged?
Or did Shaw hit him too hard the other day, damaging his brain?
"What’s good about her?"
Evan coldly questioned, his voice full of doubt.
"She’s just stopped beating people lately, not whipping anymore. Is that enough to win you over? A look from her can make your bones go weak, and you think she’s gentle and virtuous now?"
He really wanted to rush over, pry open Ethan’s head. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
To see if it’s been brainwashed, filled with false warmth.
Ethan’s smile slowly faded.
Even if facing his real brother, his most trusted person.
He couldn’t tolerate others speaking ill of the Female Master.
"It’s really different."
He insisted softly, but his gaze was extremely serious.
"I can feel she’s getting better. Her aura is gentle, her tone is not as harsh as before. Last night she even personally boiled ginger tea for me, saying she was afraid I’d catch a cold moving out... isn’t this considered change?"
"What do you understand?"
Evan was so angry, his chest heaving, his fury rising to his head.
He suddenly transformed black beast claws, his nails glinting coldly.
With a heavy smack on Ethan’s forehead.
"I don’t understand? Who among you do I not know well?"
He glared, raising his voice.
"Who do I know best? Isn’t it you two? One stubborn as a mule, the other dumb as a block of wood! Both of you combined don’t match half my intelligence!"
"I don’t care."
He stuck out his neck, tone stiff.
"You’re not allowed to leave."
After shouting this sentence, he suddenly choked.
Was it because of loneliness?
Or fear?
He didn’t want to admit it, but the unease boiling inside couldn’t be suppressed.
Ethan blinked, his eyelashes slightly trembling.
After a moment of silence, he still gently shook his head.
He knew his brother cared for him, but some paths ultimately needed to be walked alone.
