Chapter 78: Let’s Dress Him Up!

Abigail didn’t know that her husband had joined hands with his irritating cousin. If she knew, another BL story would surely blossom in her heart. But right now, she was busy looking at the outfits Mother Rosa picked for her second son.

Abigail’s eyes narrowed. "Nothing looks good."

"I agree." Chris’s nose wrinkled. "They’re all old. I’ve worn them multiple times already."

Rosa, who was inside the wardrobe, walked out with three different sets of outfits and glared at her younger son. "Don’t give me that ’old outfit’ argument. Why do you even keep these if you’re not going to wear them? Just give it off to charity!"

After saying that, she threw those clothes on Chris’s face.

The latter shook his head instantly and said, "These are my babies. How can I give them to someone else?"

"You..." Rosa was speechless. She knew her youngest son was addicted to his clothes, but not so much. She would have to throw these away as soon as possible!

Chris had never worn these more than once! So, what was the point of keeping them at home? Better give them all to someone needy.

She made a decision in her heart but didn’t tell her youngest son about it. Instead, she turned toward her daughter-in-law and asked, "Now, why do you not like these clothes?"

"How do I say this...." Abigail didn’t have a clue when it came to her own outfit, but she could well point fingers at others. "He’s going to a bar, and this is going to be a casual date, not the real one. It comes after the casual one. This is the moment when both the parties will check one another out."

Then she pointed her finger at the closest cloth nearby. "Look at this. It almost feels like he’ll be hella overdressed by this."

How did Abigail know this? Of course, she did! She was Chris’s author. So she knew his preferences like the back of his hands.

More importantly, she knew what he had worn for real during his first date. Since those clothes were not here, he had probably purchased them outside. But how was that possible? She hadn’t written anything like that.

Abigail tilted her head and shook off her doubts. Then she raised her head and asked, "Why don’t we go and get some new robes for him?"

"Absolutely not!" Rosa glared at her son and said, putting her hand on her waist, "What will we do about those outfits he already has? Nope. We are choosing from the ones we have or else, he’s not going out at all!"

Abigail pursed her lips. Maybe they shouldn’t wear the same outfit after all. Hadn’t she wanted to change the course of events? She should alter these small things, too.

After deciding this, she searched the wardrobe for an appropriate outfit.

In her novel, Chris wears a dashing black shirt and jeans with a silver chain around his neck. His entire being looked extremely dashing, and Arthur had just fallen flat, his heart jumping like a rabbit in his chest.

Now, Abigail would have to think of an even better dress for her brother-in-law.

Let’s see....

All of a sudden, Owen’s outfit flashed in her head. That man, indeed, looks handsome in his turtleneck shirt. For some reason, she wanted to find a similar outfit for her brother-in-law and see how this young man would look in such a shirt.

Thus, she turned the entire wardrobe upside down in search of a turtleneck shirt, and when she finally found one, she was extremely satisfied with her efforts.

A red turtleneck shirt with casual blue ripped jeans.

Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the outfit she found for the character she made. It looks like a perfect alternative for that black shirt she had chosen for Chris in her novel.

Until now, Rosa was still not willing to give up. She started forcing her son to wear one outfit after another, making him the little toy she could play with. There was a hint of excitement in the woman’s eyes as she looked at the young man in the mirror.

On the other side, Chris was very tired and exhausted to the point he didn’t even want to go.

Why... Just why did he decide to accept these two’s help? They were making his life hell.

It was a date, a casual one at that. It wasn’t like he would get married right off the bat!

He really now feared the day he would get married. What would be his condition at that time?

No...

He couldn’t let this happen. He should take the command of his outfit himself. Otherwise, a hell of a day was waiting for he would become a toy again for the sake of a groom’s outfit.

"Mom...."

"Brother-in-law!" Abigail’s voice echoed from inside the wardrobe as she got out excitedly.

Her hair had transformed into a bird’s nest, and she looked like she had just fought with someone. But she carried an outfit and said, "Brother-in-law, I have found a dashing outfit for you! Here! Try it."

She showed the red turtleneck shirt to Chris.

The latter looked at the shirt in a daze.

He remembered that outfit well and hadn’t even had a chance to wear it. And how did he buy it? Back then, he went with his male and female friends who did some shopping in the mall. At that time, he was just sitting and waiting in the lobby of the clothing shop when a staff member handed him the same outfit.

"Mr. Harrison, someone bought you this outfit as a gift."

Chris was stunned then, and before he could refuse, the staff member handed him the package and slipped away. Back then, he searched for the person who gave him this gift high and low. And when he still couldn’t find that person, he ended up shrugging it off and bringing it home.

Of course, he never wore it, thinking it wouldn’t be nice to wear a gift given by someone he didn’t even know. After all, if it were a girl buying him such a costly outfit, what she had in her heart while purchasing it for him was clear. Since he was gay, he didn’t want to break anyone’s heart.

Even though he liked this outfit very much, he never dared to wear it even after a whole year had passed.

"No... I can’t wear it."
