The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 149: Owen?!
Abigail stared at the script in horror.
She had thought she would get to experience what it meant to be a villain without having to act romantic to an unfamiliar guy. Such villains, such roles were her thing. She had thought she would continue to be a villain all her life in the movies she would act in because clearly, she wasn’t any good with romance aspects.
If she were good enough, she wouldn’t be sandwiched between Nicholas and Asher right now.
She didn’t know that she would include Owen in this list too in the future. If she did, she would face-palm herself right there, right now.
But for now, she was utterly horrified by the fact that she would have to act romantic with a strange person! Ah, why?! What the heck did she do wrong? She was merely yearning to act as a villainess, not someone who failed to love people.
In the first place, Abigail’s experience with love had been extremely messy and childish! How could she know deep things about what people usually do when they don’t get their lover’s association?
Abigail cluelessly stared at the newfound scene.
There, Lily was about to run away when she bumped into the male lead, falling right into his arms. Then the two of them would stare at one another. Of course, it would be the villain staring into the other’s eyes more because she would fall in love with the man at first glance. And after that, the male lead would say a few words of apology and walk away.
But what Abigail was worried about was how she would have to act romantic and stare at a stranger’s eyes for a long while! Gosh, this was impossible! She could hardly stare into Nicholas’s eyes head-on!
She instantly looked at Susan and said, "Miss, this... this is impossible?"
Asher’s brows furrowed as he said, "What’s wrong?"
Abigail showed him the script and said, "I don’t want to act romantic to someone unknown...."
All of a sudden, Asher’s entire aura cooled down as he read the entire scene.
Abigail would have to look at someone lovingly?! She hadn’t even looked at him with such a gaze. So how could he allow her to glance at someone else, even if it was just an act?!
"Change it." His voice was full of indifference and coldness, indicating his authority at the moment in this situation.
The director was also helpless. She coughed and said, "Mr. Asher, I wouldn’t have changed the scene if we hadn’t acquired a new investor who has invested more than you... So... We will have to listen to him..."
Asher’s aura cooled down even further as he said, "I’ll pay you more than him."
Abigail suddenly tucked his sleeves and whispered to him, "Let it go. I’ll handle it."
"No!" Asher didn’t want Abigail to stare at an unknown person just for nothing. He didn’t even want her to stare at Nicholas, what to speak of other people?
"Mr. Harrison," Susan was feeling utterly helpless and said, "The investor has invested to see the villain act romantically with the male lead in the first place. If you pay more, he will pay us even more. Please, understand. We don’t need that much money."
The director wanted to cry. At first, she was happy seeing a new investor falling into her lap just like that, but she hadn’t thought of facing such a scene so suddenly. How could she forget about Asher?
What was even worse, the investor specifically signed a contract stating that she would get her money back with interest and even shut down the entire movie project if her wishes were refused. Susan didn’t think much about it when signing it, but now...
Ah, she also didn’t want to lose such a good villain and an amazing investor whose name itself was enough to make people see her movie in the theaters!
Asher’s face remained cold as he turned over the lady and chuckled. "Then you can continue making this movie. We are leaving."
"Wait!" Abigail became anxious at the thought of not being able to act at all. She grabbed the man’s wrist and said, "Don’t go! Isn’t it just a movie? I’ll shoot it."
"But..."
Abigail scooted closer to him and whispered so that only the two of them could hear, "Please, I will forgive you for that day’s sneak kiss! Just let me act as a villain!"
She actually brought such a topic out to the public. Asher was so stunned that he stood there, dumbfounded. He blinked and nodded robotically. "Okay."
Abigail released the breath she was holding and nodded toward the director. "Okay. we are good."
Susan felt speechless in her heart.
This young woman actually calmed the great Asher Harrison’s heart just like that? What the heck did she say to shut the man down and cool his anger to this extent?
On the other side, Asher was already regretting giving his yes to this young woman. He shouldn’t have done that.
Ah, he would now have to witness his dear Abigail being romantic to someone else! One Nicholas was already enough! Why was this fate so terrible today?!
But since Abigail was still so eager to act, he finally gritted his teeth and said, "Let’s meet this male lead first."
He remembered the male lead, the playful actor who was famous for playing with the hearts of ladies. That kind of person...
Abigail would actually act romantic with such a man. Even thinking about it made Asher feel angry, but he swallowed the traces of anger and said, "Where’s he?"
Susan scratched the back of her neck and chuckled nervously. "Actually, the male lead had to leave the movie. I asked my cousin to act on his behalf. Mind you, he isn’t an actor, and he probably won’t do another movie, but... He’s just helping me, and he’s really a good actor, otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked him to help me. He has been a substitute for many male leads in my movies during his college days for money!"
Great. So a stranger who isn’t even a professional!
Asher felt the traces of anger rising in his heart, but he still suppressed it and said, "Well, what are we waiting for?"
Thus, they soon reached the venue. It was a building, and because it was a hospital scene, things had long been arranged. Several side actors stood on the side, posing as staff members and guards.
Suddenly, as Abigail’s car stopped and she lowered her window, she saw another car bypassing hers, stopping right into the parking lot. The backdoor of the car opened as a very familiar man walked out.
"Owen?!" Abigail spoke out his name in shock.
