The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 146: She Actually Slept!!!!!
The next morning.
Abigail didn’t wake up even in the middle of the night. Opening her eyes, she blinked and tried to remember what had happened the previous night.
The date.
Lunch.
Photoshoot.
The interview.
The theatre.
And her husband’s threat to prove that she didn’t like Owen.
Her eyes widened as she noticed the time and date on her phone. Oh damn! She forgot about it totally and slept through the night! She didn’t even get to give those flowers to her husband!
The moment she thought about it, she became even more anxious as she moved out of the bed, searching for the man himself. It was then she noticed the bouquet decorating the vase beside her bed.
She stared at the flowers in a daze.
The more she stared, the more she felt anxious.
Uh, what to do? She had already passed the time limit, terribly at that. Sure, her husband did help her get back to her bed, but that didn’t mean he would forgive her and listen to her explanation about Owen!
How should she explain and prove it to him now?!
At this time, Asher, who had gone out to have some breakfast, returned while talking to his assistant on the phone. "Yes, put other investors on hold. I have the final say in this movie. Just do what I said and...."
He noticed Abigail staring at the flowers as he frowned. "I’ll call you back."
"Abigail," He didn’t want her to stare at those damned flowers anymore. "What are you doing? We have to go."
"Uh?" The woman turned around and nodded, scratching the back of her neck. "Where’s my husband?"
Asher’s aura turned colder. He remembered how the man had shown off in front of him last night, giving him a night full of worries and anxieties.
In the end, he couldn’t sleep all night thinking about how could their relationship escalate to such a degree. Why did she give him flowers?
The woman had only glared at Asher in exchange for a kiss on her cheek! Where had he gone wrong?
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. But what exactly could he do?! Nothing!
In the end, he simply took a deep breath and said, "He’s out for the meeting." He thought about it for a while and said, "He said he won’t be returning for today."
That was a blatant lie. The man also went to have his breakfast, but since he hadn’t returned yet, Asher could just hurry this woman over to the set without the man towing behind them like a plague.
Abigail believed him. After all, Asher had no reason to lie in her eyes. The point was to hurry up and go to the set. Since Nicholas’s case was already a blunder, why not care about it later? She still had other things to worry about, for example, her role!
Ah, she also hadn’t prepared for that! Damn, how could she forget about it!
She nodded as a trace of excitement appeared in her eyes. "Okay! Give me five minutes, no fifteen! I’ll be back!"
Since she was excited for her first day out for the shooting, she got ready within ten minutes and headed out with Asher wearing her disguised facemask. Her blond hair was pulled up to form a bun above her head as loose strands decorated the side of her face, making her look enchanting despite the disguise mask.
That’s why she missed out on meeting Nicholas by five minutes. If she had taken her original time, she could see him and even speak a word or two about that bouquet.
Alas, by the time Nicholas appeared, the entire room was already empty. He stopped for a few seconds, staring at the empty bed of Abigail and shook his head.
He knew what would have happened. He shouldn’t really have shown off in front of that cousin of his in the first place. But other than a few small tricks, that man could do nothing. Thus, Nicholas wasn’t worried about it.
He also knew that his dear wife wanted to act. So he let her be. In any case, he somehow had unprecedented confidence over himself.
After all, he was better than Asher at everything. So why could he be better at romance as compared to the other?
Thus, without a care of the world, he opened his laptop and started doing his work. If anything, he would take Abigail out once again and make her forget about Asher once and for all. That cousin of his would always remain inferior because he already had the upper hand.
Abigail was his wife already. So, as a husband, didn’t it mean he should take her all for himself? There was nothing wrong with that.
On the other side, Asher had the driver take them to the venue, the house on the residential side where the shooting was taking place. He sighed in relief. Even until now, Abigail didn’t seem to remember those flowers being put into the vase.
Good.
Maybe he could do something to make her forget about it in the first place! But what?
As he was thinking about it, they had already reached the venue. He shook his head and turned toward Abigail, who was busily looking at her phone with a serious expression on her face.
"What are you doing?"
"Didn’t the director send us the script?" Abigail showed an embarrassed expression on her face as she said, "I was reading that."
Maybe Asher wouldn’t really have to do anything extra. She would perhaps forget after getting busy with her work.
Still, he should plan a little something for tonight. Maybe a candle night dinner?
When he remembered how she had glared at him after he stole a kiss on her cheek? He shook his head.
The same trick won’t work with her anymore.
As he was thinking about it, the car finally stopped. Abigail closed her phone, utterly excited to perform her role, as she said, "Let’s go! I’m ready!"
"Already?" Shouldn’t she practice a bit? 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"Who do you think you’re talking to?" Abigail pointed her finger at herself and said, "I’m the future superstar whom everyone will worship!"
Asher felt amused after hearing those words. At the same time, he also realized what he would do with her tonight.
Let’s take her to a concert!
