The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 135: He’s A Bit Adorable...
Even the entrance was full of shrubs climbing trees with several colorful flowers and leaves attached. With a few butterflies flying about in the garden from one flower to another, it almost looked like heavens, not some spring restaurant in the outskirts of a city.
Abigail stared at the place with her eyes widened. She never thought Nicholas out of everyone would turn into a romantic guy. What just happened to him?
The man she was thinking about looked back and squinted his eyes, saying, "If you’re not coming, I’m going there alone."
Abigail woke up from her dazed state and she sighed. She shouldn’t have thought her husband changed. How could a dog’s tail straighten so soon?
This person was cold and indifferent, and he would continue to stay the same at all times. Why did Abigail have to have some hopes for him?
She sighed and followed the man while pouting. How good it would be if this person became more romantically active!
Another sigh escaped her lips as she saw the man finally stopping in front of the receptionist at the front. Nicholas tapped on the desk and said, "We have a booking."
Abigail’s eyes silently glanced at the man from the side, suddenly feeling surprised.
So, he booked this restaurant ahead of time? What does he mean by that?!
Abigail continued to look at him in a daze and was dragged toward their table just like that. It was only when Nicholas pulled the chair for her and moved her shoulder with an expressionless face.
The man looked almost like a CEO who was about to finalize a deal with someone, not on a date or something.
No, wait a minute. Was it a date?
Abigail’s heart suddenly thumped in her chest as she glanced at the man, finally managing to speak, "You... What do you mean....?"
"Eh?" Nicholas was confused about what she was talking about. "Isn’t it normal to treat my wife better?"
Abigail faced another attack that was directed toward her heart, making it thump even more. She felt her face turning hot as she took a deep breath, averting her eyes.
Why... Why did she feel like Nicholas was a bit adorable?
Abigail coughed awkwardly and sat on the seat presented to her, not looking at Nicholas. To hide her blush, she instantly hid her face behind the menu.
After all, Nicholas was a weirdo. He would definitely not figure out what she was feeling.
Sure enough, the man merely looked at her and thought she was busy ordering food. He also calmly picked up a menu card and glanced at everything, mentally preparing all the foodstuffs he could order for the two of them.
Abigail released the breath she was holding. Partially, she felt relieved that he wasn’t focusing, but the other part of her heart was slightly disappointed. It was almost as if she wanted him to focus on her...
She instantly shook her head and threw that thought to the back of her head, focusing on the dishes.
Again, she couldn’t choose a single thing. The name of the dishes sounded like medicinal herbs as if she had stepped into an ancient world full of herbs and old recipes.
She stared at the names and tried picturing them in her mind, failing to do so. Thus, she placed the menu on the table and said, "You do it."
Nicholas looked at her and averted his eyes, focusing on his phone. He didn’t bother giving her an explanation, but he had already done his part. He kind of knew this girl was definitely going to dump the ordering business on him. So why not do it beforehand?
She didn’t know the name of a single dish anyway.
On the other side, Abigail pouted when she saw the man brazenly ignoring her. Her anger flared up even more as she pointed her finger at the man.
"You, is this how to pursue a girl?" Nicholas ignored her, making the girl feel flustered as she stood up, snatching the phone from the man’s hand and saying, "Say something!"
"What?" Nicholas wasn’t irritated. He wasn’t even focusing on his phone that much, just scrolling through his social media. Honestly, even though he had decided to become an active participant in this, he still didn’t know what to do. Thus, he busied himself or pretended to be busy on his phone, casually glancing at the woman’s angry little face.
Ah, why hadn’t he realized she looked pretty adorable with her cheeks puffed up like a furious cat?
He continued to look at her and raised his eyebrows as if asking silently what she was doing.
His gaze made Abigail even more flustered. According to this man’s usual attitude toward her, this phone-snatching event should have made the man angry enough to pin her down on the table or something.
Cough. She had read too many CEO novels. Blame her for that kind of wild imagination.
Or at least, she was ready to receive a cold glare down her face from his eyes.
But not only did he not get angry, he also looked at her calmly with his eyebrows raised.
Ah, what kind of medicine did this person eat today?! Why was he acting so weird?
Abigail couldn’t tell. Thus, she pursed her lips as her anger quickly transformed into utter embarrassment as she passed on the phone to him. "Why aren’t you listening to me?"
"I’m listening."
"Then-"
Before she could continue to ask, the waiter came with dishes one after another, making Abigail stunned. She sat back in her seat silently as she saw the dishes placed in front of her and realized soon that the man had ordered for her without even telling her a single word about it.
She swallowed, seeing so many tasty dishes in front of her eyes. But before she could raise her spoon and pick up the food, a piece of tofu was placed on her plate by a familiar hand.
She raised her head and glanced at the man, who was clearly pretending he wasn’t the one who did it, acting all normal.
She lowered her head as she felt her heart thumping in her chest for the second time. Her hand went to her chest as she felt it with her palms.
What was happening? Why was Nicholas acting so weird?
First Asher, who stole a kiss from her cheek and then Nicholas! These two men were surely planning to give her a heart attack!
