Chapter 112: Smile A Little

Abigail was stunned hearing those words.

Yes, why was she getting excited and embarrassed all of a sudden? Wasn’t she supposed to pretend to be aloof and indifferent to these two people at all times? Wasn’t she supposed to guard her heart thoroughly in her chest until she could come up with a proper solution about whom she should be with in the end?

Then... Why did she even ask anything to Asher? If a girl didn’t feel the slightest bit of a thing for a man standing close, she wouldn’t blush and scold the man for touching her. She would just slap the man and even accuse him angrily.

But was Abigail really angry?

She wasn’t, not at least about him touching her. She was instead angry about the fact that he broke the code drafted by Nicholas.

Damn, did she already fall in love with him or something?! So soon?!

No! She should continue to make herself aloof. She can’t throw herself into the pool of abyss like this!

She took a few deep breaths and composed herself, saying, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. Take us home. I’m hungry."

The cook must have arrived by now.

"We aren’t eating at home." Asher didn’t want to see Nicholas’s cold and boring face right now. Thus, he instantly made plans and added, "I have several paparazzis following me. Just look at the rearview mirror."

Abigail turned back and was stunned to see a black car following behind them at a distance. She kept looking at it, and was even more shocked that they were turning to wherever they were going.

She pursed her lips and mumbled, "Okay."

Asher felt even more satisfied in his heart upon hearing her words. Sure, he could have avoided them, but he didn’t want to. What if he could reap more benefits from Abigail because of their presence?

He was a classic example of someone who would neer feel satisfied with what he had. Once stretched a finger, people usually wanted to hold their hands.

Thus, Asher, still wasn’t feeling satisfied in his heart as he giggled in his heart.

He would surely win Abigail’s heart for sure!

Thus, they even reached the restaurant where they were going to have some food. Asher parked the car and quickly walked out of there, heading to the other side. He opened the door and smiled, "Ready to act your role once again?"

Abigail had already been mentally ready for a while. She knew she would have to do this if she wanted to fool people into believing that she was Olivia, not Abigail.

Not that she didn’t like being with Asher. Her newfound feelings sure made her confused, but she also couldn’t let me go just like that. She wanted to stay with him for as long as possible, after all, he was the only person who treated her nicely.

Nicholas was also good, but he was all awkward and indifferent. Unless it was an emergency, he wouldn’t even sneak a glance at her face. So why waste her efforts with someone cold and indifferent like that?

Abigail silently looked at Asher from the corner of her eyes. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Even though Nicholas was her first choice, Asher was also not bad. She was sure if she stayed with Asher a bit longer, she would probably end up liking him as a real girlfriend.

So it wouldn’t be a terrible choice if she chose him after divorcing Nicholas, right?

Thus, she stopped controlling her emotions, which took up much of her effort and started walking toward the restaurant with an indifferent expression on her face. By this time, the paparazzi had already arrived at the place, hiding in the bushes as they sneaked a few shots of them.

Sure, Abigail couldn’t tell if they were there or not since she wasn’t prone to handling such people, but Asher, who had faced these people for most of his life, realized they were there. Thus, he began acting as a perfect boyfriend, the part he had wanted to perform for a long time.

He walked toward Abigail and hugged her waist, whispering into her ears, "Smile a little. They’re taking our shots."

Abigail’s heart thumped in her chest as a trace of warmth spread throughout her body. She pursed her lips and nodded, swallowing. "Yes..."

Of course, the paparazzi didn’t forget to sneak a few shots of her expression and felt extremely delighted to see such a change. They snapped multiple shots and followed the couple inside. Too bad, the guards saw them carrying a camera and stopped them.

"You can’t go further. This restaurant issues privacy to our customers." The bald, middle-aged guard looked horrific, with a scar across his face.

The reporter at the front still wanted to sneak inside as he said while clutching the camera in his hands, "But... This is my work."

"You still can’t."

"Can I go inside as a customer then?"

"Us too." The reporters behind also joined.

The guard looked at them coldly and said, "Only if you order. If I see you standing anywhere behind the celebrities shooting pictures, you’re kicked out."

With his small camera, the little paparazzi released the breath he was holding and nodded. Thus, the group entered the place, trying to locate the celebrity couple.

Asher was finally seen with a woman, experiencing romance at that! That was news similar to the moon’s landing! Sure, he was called a playboy in his private life, but he made sure never to be seen by women. Even his Playboy image seemed made up because of his extremely private life.

Thus, when he was finally seen romancing with a young woman, the paparazzi became so excited that they couldn’t wait to capture his private events.

Inside, Asher had finally chosen a VIP suite upstairs with luxurious surroundings. A round table at the center was decorated exquisitely with beautiful pink candles. The glass decoration around the candles created an enchanting light on the table.

Aside from that, the entire room was filled with a rosy aroma as the walls seemed to be decorated with medieval setting pictures and lamps. There was a dim light in the room with a carpeted floor and flowers everywhere, waiting for their customers to arrive. Even the window looked extremely beautiful, similar to a medieval setting.

This was the first time Abigail had seen such an exquisite place full of luxury. The chairs looked so beautiful that she didn’t even want to sit on them. She stood at the door, completely stunned.
