The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 102: Asher’s Girlfriend
"You..." The lady swallowed and finally said, "What’s your name?"
"Ab—" Abigail bit her tongue at the right time and composed herself, saying, "Olivia Bennett."
Damn, she almost said her real name! Gosh, that was close!
Even Asher noticed, but he nodded at her, reassuring her to continue speaking.
Abigail released the breath she was holding and said, "There’s one more thing you guys need to know before selecting me." She was fully into her role as Olivia and said, "I’m Asher’s girlfriend."
Asher choked on his saliva as he coughed loudly, not expecting her to go all out in her role. A blush spread on his cheeks at the same time. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
It sounded like a song to his ears when she spoke that she was his girlfriend.
Not just him, even the judges were shocked seeing this. The young woman’s expression didn’t change, but the judges felt awkward and embarrassed on her behalf.
This was private information and shouldn’t have been told bluntly, okay?!
The author/director lady was speechless as she spoke with difficulty, "Olivia.... You don’t need to tell us that."
"Okay." Abigail nodded, but she still thought she had to say it out loud to avoid trouble in the future.
After all, they should treat the ’girlfriend’ of the investor better than others, right?
Thus, Abigail didn’t look slightly regretful of her decision to speak those words. She even felt happy in her heart as she patted herself on her own back for being so smart!
The lady was speechless once again after hearing those words.
She took a deep breath and forced out a few words: "You can go. I’ll surely tell your boyfriend about the results."
Abigail nodded, clearly not affected, but Asher felt his heart thumping in his chest. He cleared his throat and said, "L-let’s go."
Damn, he couldn’t even look at the girl straight anymore! How come he didn’t know he was that shy?!
The two of them walked out one after another, and Asher’s speed seemed to be more than ever.
At first, Abigail was fully in her role, so she couldn’t notice the man’s reaction. It was only when they walked out and entered the car did she noticed a trace of blush on Asher’s face. Her eyes twinkled with joy as she giggled and quickly let go of her role.
"Asher~" She leaned forward and asked, "Why are you blushing?"
The young man coughed and didn’t even look at her, only saying, "You should continue to be Olivia."
"Huh? Why?" Abigail was enjoying his reaction as she put her hand beneath her chin. "Aren’t you happy with my words?"
"I... I..." Asher gritted his teeth as he held the steering wheel tightly. It almost seemed as if he was holding back a burst of emotions bubbling in his heart. "I don’t know what you’re talking about. Aren’t you very eager to be in your cold and indifferent role? Go ahead. I’m not stopping you anymore."
Ah, he was afraid that if he continued to be teased like this, he might do something ahead of time that he clearly didn’t want to do! At least, not so soon!
Abigail looked at him, clearly wanting to tease him more about his reaction when suddenly, her cell phone rang.
It was Nicholas calling her.
Her eyes brightened up as she picked up the call, "Husband~"
Thus, all the good mood that Asher had accumulated because of her words earlier vanished without a trace. It almost felt like it burst into nothingness, leaving only coldness behind.
Asher’s mood calmed down as he gripped the steering wheel tighter. He took a deep breath and muttered to himself, "Don’t get excited too soon, you stupid brat!"
"Huh, Asher? You said something?" Abigail asked him, wondering if she heard him.
"Yeah, we are going to a restaurant. What do you want to eat?"
Asher wanted to return home first, but when he heard her calling out on her husband so lovingly, he changed his mind. He didn’t want them to meet so soon.
"Wait a minute. Can you stop the car for a moment?" Abigail said to him and then turned to her phone, "Yes, Nicholas, what did you say?" She heard him and nodded. "Alright."
She wanted to tease her husband at first, but then she changed her mind and put down her phone, looking a little anxious. "Let’s go home first."
"Why?" Asher’s heart sank a little thinking she didn’t want to have lunch with him. Or did something happen at home?
That thought made him even more anxious.
"Something happened, two things actually." Abigail pursed her lips. "Hurry!"
Nicholas put down his phone and stared at the thing placed on the table with a cold expression on his face. It hadn’t even been half a day ever since Abigail went out when someone was already disturbing her peaceful life.
The question was, how did they know where Olivia lived? No, who exactly was it who knew that name, Olivia Bennet?!
Abigail had just stepped her foot outside and she already had a stalker?
Or could it be that the killer knew Abigail’s address?
Whatever it was, this bouquet and gifts weren’t a good sign. Something terrible was happening here.
About half an hour later, Abigail finally returned with an anxious-looking Asher following behind her. Indeed, the moment they stepped inside the main hall, they saw a big bouquet placed at the dining table, looking even more elegant than anything else.
It even seemed as if an admirer of hers had spent a lot of effort to send these flowers to their footsteps.
Asher’s eyes darkened when he looked at that bouquet. He walked past Abigail and read the card attached to the flowers out loud.
"To the most beloved woman in my life. I hope you have liked my gift.
"-Your admirer"
That was it. They weren’t even sure whether this was a stunt pulled up by the same killer or not. Or could it be Abigail managed to get a new stalker behind her back so fast? Hadn’t she been outside merely two times ever since arriving in this country?!
Asher’s eyes squinted as he continued to stare at the card.
This was certainly a serious matter. He couldn’t let it slide so easily. Since this place was his area, he would do his best to protect Abigail’s privacy.
Thus, he took a deep breath and said, "I’ll handle this. Abigail should receive utmost protection from today onwards whether she’s on set or somewhere else."
Nicholas said nothing, but he continued to stare at the flowers. His mind was whirling around another topic as he directly asked, "Whom did you meet or bump into the past few days?"
Abigail frowned and recalled the way she spent her days here and said, "Katherine?"
