The Villainess Cannot Escape — Five Beast Husbands Chase Her Madly-Chapter 167: Seville Sets Off for Black Star
「Rebel Army Mother Ship, Crimson Throne」
Clad in a red cloak and wearing a red Evil Ghost Mask, Lord Red was reviewing documents.
On the desk, the blood-sand in a skull-shaped hourglass suddenly began to flow eerily upward.
The moment the light screen extinguished, a line of blinding, blood-red text appeared:
"The Divine Female is on Black Star. Bring her back, dead or alive!"
He licked his sharp canines, a ruthless look of absolute certainty in his eyes.
"Finally, I’ve found you."
「Meanwhile, in the secret realm of the Golden Feather Clan」
The golden lake was as calm as a mirror.
Seville floated on his back in the middle of the lake, his long, silver-purple hair fanned out around him like a slumbering galaxy.
His eyes were closed and his breathing was even. The White Feather Skirt around his waist swayed gently with the ripples, his long legs half-submerged. He exuded an air of languid wildness.
Suddenly, the lake’s surface rippled, the water churning violently and jolting him from his sleep.
"..."
Seville frowned and sat up, water droplets sliding down his chest.
A pair of enormous wings unfurled from his back with a SWOOSH. They should have been pure white.
Now, however, one half was as snow-white as ever, while the other was scorched as black as cinders.
He beat his wings, sending water splashing, and landed on the shore in an instant. He glared coldly at the High Priest who had disturbed his peaceful sleep.
His gaze clearly said, ’You’d better have a good reason for this.’
The white-haired High Priest held a golden Star Disc, upon which a dim gold star was enveloped in black energy.
His expression was grave as he said in a low voice, "Seville, the Divine Female has appeared on Black Star. The Black Priests have already set their sights on her."
Seville’s lip curled. His voice was a low, hoarse rasp. "What’s it to me?"
"Have you forgotten the consequences of the last Divine Female’s fall two hundred years ago?"
The High Priest’s voice grew heavy. He struck his Scepter hard against the ground, and an immense pressure suddenly descended. "If anything happens to her this time, the entire Beast Star will be buried along with her!"
"The mission of our Golden Feather Clan is to save the Divine Female!"
Seville’s gaze grew colder, but he didn’t argue.
He bent down, picked up a black jacket from the shore, and slipped it on, covering his lean, powerful physique.
"Fine."
His voice was low and hoarse, with a hint of mockery. "I’ll go."
"But,"
he added, suddenly raising an eyebrow, "how am I supposed to know which one is the Divine Female? It’s not like it’s written on her forehead."
The High Priest sighed. "The Divine Female’s radiance is unmistakable. She is bound to be the most outstanding and dazzling one there."
"Hah," Seville sneered. "The more dazzling the female, the more arrogant she is."
His tone dripped with obvious annoyance.
The High Priest shook his head, resigned. "This Divine Female’s aura is faint and elusive, making her difficult to pinpoint."
"But all you need to do is follow the stench of blood that trails the Black Priests. The one they’re trying to take is the one we must protect."
A vicious glint flashed in Seville’s eyes. "So it’s a fight, then? That, I’m good at."
With that, he beat his wings to fly off, but the High Priest roared after him, "You’re supposed to protect her, not pick a fight!"
Seville paid him no heed. His black wings sliced through the sky, his figure resolute and aloof as he disappeared from view.
’He hated being forced into things. He hated, even more, remembering he was once an A-list idol with a radiant smile and a clear, bright voice.’
’But now, his voice was a grating rasp, his wings were scorched, and even his soul felt as if it had been torn in two.’
’He could only seek peace by serving as a Priest within his clan.’
The High Priest watched his departing figure, tightened his grip on his Scepter, and a deep sense of regret welled up in his heart.
’If only I hadn’t forced him to marry the Third Princess for the sake of peace between the Alliance and the Empire.’
’If only his voice hadn’t been destroyed by poison, if only his wings hadn’t been scorched.’
’He should have been the proudest star of the Golden Feather Swan Clan, not the cold, world-weary man he was today.’
「In the skies above Black Star, inside the Red Fox Flying Device」
The pink-gold light of the Divine Pattern slowly faded, and the Hexagram mark on Su An’an’s lower back finally disappeared.
She let out a long breath, her whole body sinking into the soft seat, her tense shoulders finally relaxing.
"BEEP, BEEP!"
The communicator on Fei Zhao’s wrist suddenly rang sharply.
The emergency call signal from the Black Star Administrative Hall flashed continuously, the red light casting dangerous shadows inside the cabin.
"Tsk, I almost forgot about the main event."
Big Cat cracked his knuckles with a sharp CRACK. His Gilded Beast Eyes glinted with excitement. "Time to go collect what Nicola owes us."
Lan Cangming leaned against the porthole, an Ice Crystal forming on his fingertip and refracting the starlight. "The transfer agreement for the Interstellar Port, and the permit for the female shelter."
His voice was calm, yet it carried an indisputable chill.
"And," Night Abyss added, his dragon tail swaying dangerously as his dark red, slitted pupils narrowed, "her promise to crawl out of Black Star on her knees."
Su An’an frowned. "Let’s forget about that last one, okay? It’s too humiliating."
"A bet’s a bet."
Night Abyss sneered, his Dragon Scales glinting coldly. "She made the bet. She brought this humiliation on herself."
Su An’an started to say something more, but when she met four pairs of resolute eyes, she simply sighed and nodded.
「Black Star Administrative Hall」
The moment the automatic doors slid open, a figure pounced like a Mad Beast. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Su An’an! Give Lu Chengfeng’s life back!"
Nicola’s eyes were bloodshot as her sharp nails slashed straight for Su An’an’s throat.
Night Abyss’s dragon tail whipped out like lightning to block her, while Big Cat’s claws were already pressed to Nicola’s throat.
The entire hall fell silent in an instant, the officials recoiling in terror, knocking over piles of documents.
"What happened to Lu Chengfeng?" Su An’an raised a hand, signaling her Beast Husbands to calm down as her brow furrowed.
Though restrained by Big Cat’s claws, Nicola still shrieked hysterically, "Stop playing dumb! Your Beast Husband beat him to death in the duel!"
Raymond stepped out from the crowd, his golden, lion-like pupils reflecting a cold light.
"Third Princess, that duel was supposed to be fought with restraint."
He accused in a heavy tone, "You clearly had victory in hand, yet you still dealt a fatal blow. That was going too far!"
A cold glint flashed from Ying Jiuyao’s claws. "I barely used any force."
He scoffed. "An attack like that would’ve put him in bed for three days, at most. He died because he used the Forbidden Medicine ’Life Burning’ during the match."
"It’s only natural to die when you’re burning your own life force!"
"Nonsense!"
Nicola angrily thrust a test report forward. "The Alliance has tested it! Using ’Life Burning’ only results in exhaustion and unconsciousness!"
She pointed at Su An’an and the Four Great Beast Husbands, screaming, "You killed Lu Chengfeng!"
She tilted her chin up, her eyes filled with menace.
"I will report this to my father immediately and hold your Empire accountable! You will give me an explanation today!"
"He used a Forbidden Medicine and still lost miserably, and you have the gall to demand accountability?"
Fei Zhao crossed his arms, a cold smirk playing on his lips. "I’d love to see how the Alliance is going to handle this."
"You’re despicable! How dare you scheme against him!"
Nicola’s face was flushed red as she pointed at Su An’an and roared:
"Su An’an, you black-hearted female! Did you take your anger out on my Beast Husband just because Jiu Su stole yours?"
She trembled with anger, cursing in a shrill voice:
"You deserve to be betrayed! I curse you to never win the true heart of any Beast Husband!"
"Jiu Su will steal all of your Beast Husbands, and you’ll be left to grovel at her feet!"
The expressions of Big Cat and the other three Beast Husbands darkened instantly, and they looked at Su An’an with concern.
"Curse me? Say all my Beast Husbands will be stolen by Jiu Su?"
Su An’an suddenly let out a light laugh. "Then I’m afraid you’re going to be disappointed!"
"Take me to see Lu Chengfeng."
Su An’an’s expression suddenly turned serious. "If his body isn’t cold yet," she said, a green light from her Healing System glowing in her palm, "Jiu Su can bring people back from the dead? So can I."
