She struggled to open her eyes. The first thing she saw was a rust-streaked black cage, and a sharp pain radiated from her neck.
Looking down, she saw a silver collar fastened tightly around her neck. Her hands and feet were shackled to the iron cage by four long chains.

Su An’an’s stomach churned. She suppressed the fear and disgust rising inside her, trying her best to make her voice sound calm.

A pair of scarlet beast eyes lit up in the darkness, like two clusters of eerie, dancing flames.
"Qiuqiu?"
Su An’an’s voice trembled with disbelief, and her eyes instantly welled with tears.
An entirely black lizard cub emerged from the pile of junk. Its tail, covered in Bone Spikes, was still dripping blood, but its small body radiated a comforting presence.
’We didn’t raise this cub for nothing!’
Little Pink’s tendrils trembled wildly, its voice full of pleasant surprise. ’It must have secretly followed you onto the ship!’
"Don’t be afraid, Your Highness. Qiuqiu will protect you."
Qiuqiu nuzzled its head against Su An’an’s arm, then skillfully rummaged through the two Beastmen’s bodies and pulled out the keys.
