The Villain Reborn as Game's Final Boss-Chapter 172: Stop, Please! [5]
Victoria was headed towards the training facility when she sensed a fight breaking out.
As the student council Vice President, it was her duty to ensure that the atmosphere at the academy remained healthy for everyone to study in peace.
Being a Gold 2, she had arrived near the facility in no more than a minute.
A huge crowd had already formed around the area where the fight was ongoing.
Victoria didn’t let anyone sense her presence, as she stood on an elevated area to watch the entire thing.
The moment her gaze was fixed on the fight, Victoria’s body stiffened slightly from the scene below.
At first, she had been expecting some small scuffle, but the scene before her was chaotic and brutal—unlike anything she had seen.
At least in the academy.
And the interesting part was the individual in question, who despite being surrounded by many students, was able to fight with ease.
The word ease was an understatement, as Kael, Victoria’s supposed younger brother—the second child of the Frosts—was dominating the battle with utmost efficiency and brutality.
As for the students who had surrounded him—Victoria recognised them as they were part of the student council’s disciplinary committee.
Not only was Kael dominating the fight against his seniors, who were supposed to be stronger than him, but his way of fighting was far too cruel for a first-year.
Though he wasn’t fighting to kill anyone—by looking at the scene, no one could say so.
The entire area was dyed in red, as Kael was cutting the dominant arms of every council member without the slightest bit of hesitation in his actions.
Victoria had the thought of intervening immediately, but as the students weren’t in mortal danger, she chose to observe from the outside.
But maybe... her decision wasn’t the best, as nearly all of the students below had lost their arms, with many falling unconscious from the blood loss.
Victoria was disgusted by the scene before her, but her thoughts had to stop soon, as one of the students—the leader of the group—had attacked Kael with an intent to kill him.
It may have been due to the adrenaline, but Kael’s expression changed the very moment.
In a blink of an eye, Kael disappeared from his place—and so did Victoria.
Clank!
With her utmost speed, Victoria was somehow able to stop the blade that was aimed to decapitate the vampire, but her eyes slightly widened in surprise, feeling the power behind Kael’s blade.
Sensing Kael’s core, she knew he was at Silver 3—a rank that was impressive for someone who had achieved it in mere three years after leaving their house.
Still, she hadn’t expected him to be so strong that Victoria herself had to use a decent amount of mana to repel the attack.
"Big Sister?!"
Alicia’s trembling voice made Victoria shift her attention to her little sister, who for some reason was on the verge of crying.
"Stay back."
Victoria ordered Alicia and the rest, as she didn’t want them to get caught up in any sort of friendly fire.
Looking back at Kael’s eyes, Victoria had none of the emotions on her face which could be expected from an elder sister who had met her younger brother after a long time.
In place of the desired emotions, the only thing everyone could see was calculated calmness.
"Student Kael, this shall be your final warning. Lay down your weapon, or else—"
Victoria paused, as she didn’t need to complete her sentence.
For her, it didn’t matter if Kael was her brother, as she had long stopped treating him like a brother that he was supposed to be.
In Victoria’s eyes, the kid before her was nothing more than a spoiled scum who somehow managed to get some power in the time that he had disappeared from everyone’s eyes.
Though his growth was impressive, Victoria didn’t think that Kael had earned his power through his merits alone.
There were several unorthodox ways to increase one’s power in the lower ranks, and maybe—
Kael had done the same.
After all, there was a limit to what could be expected from a person like that.
If only he had never been born— 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"Or else?"
Victoria’s thoughts paused, as Kael uttered those words, his gaze amused as he looked at her like she was some sort of nuisance that had interrupted his fun.
Victoria suppressed the anger boiling in her heart by looking at those arrogant eyes.
Kael had always been the same, no matter how many years had passed.
Always thinking of himself to be great just because he was born in their family—born as a Frost.
A privilege that he didn’t deserve.
"Attacking fellow classmates..."
As a responsible member of the council, Victoria tried to reason with Kael to surrender and present himself before the council, but maybe—
some people learn the hard way—
Clank!
Kael had vanished from his place, his blade a second away from slicing her stomach.
If Kael wanted a fight, then Victoria was ready to answer him in kind.
As seconds passed, their fight became far more intense than what Victoria had initially assumed.
She had to give some credit to the combat skills of her failed brother, despite the underhanded ways in which he might have achieved that power.
Even if Kael had been able to fight her head-on, there was a limit to what a Silver core could do—a first-year, no less.
Though Kael had been able to surprise Victoria many times—that was it.
As the fight bloomed, Victoria began to channel mana in creating the circuit for her ice spell—
Lancelot Ifermia.
Her experience in combat gave her the required edge, as she successfully managed to trap Kael in her attacks, making him fall for her spell, which was completed in mere seconds in comparison to the time that it took for everyone else to execute a spell.
But—
Victoria hadn’t expected for Kael to be able to use a spell of his own... or was it an ability.
Kael’s figure had split into six identical versions of him, without there being the slightest difference between them.
