The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 375 - 374: Eight out of Ten Sentences Are About His Wife
Ever since hearing about Naomi Kenway’s accident, Rhys Quinn had been secretly worried. Even though she had messaged him a few days ago to say she was fine, he still couldn’t shake the feeling of unease.
Seeing Rhys Quinn waiting by himself, his agent quietly walked over. "It’s too hot out here. We should head back to the tent and wait."
"I’m fine."
The agent snorted. "Stubborn as a mule. A while back, a lot of investors were threatening to pull out because of the production delays. Now that Naomi Kenway is finally back, you can relax."
Rhys Quinn caught the dissatisfaction in his agent’s voice and shot him a cold look. "If they want to pull their funding, let them. I, Rhys Quinn, have never been short on backers. Besides, Naomi Kenway’s accident happened when we were pushing her to speed things up. If we abandoned such a talented actress just because she got injured, well... I wouldn’t be able to live with myself."
The agent fell silent. He had just been grumbling, and seeing Rhys Quinn’s face turn cold, he didn’t say another word.
A commotion broke out not far away. A group of staff members was crowded around someone. Rhys Quinn listened closely and faintly heard Naomi Kenway’s name.
Naomi Kenway was usually very generous on set, often buying tea and snacks for crew members who worked overtime. She was very well-liked by everyone.
As Rhys Quinn watched the group approach, he was about to walk over but then saw someone else next to Naomi Kenway. The man had his arm lightly around her shoulder, as if protecting her from being jostled by the crowd. The gesture was intimate.
A handsome man and a beautiful woman. Rhys Quinn recognized who the man was at a glance. A sense of inexplicable loneliness welled up inside him, and he turned and walked back to the studio.

The scenes that needed to be reshot weren’t long, but they were quite difficult to film. The director of the music video was Rhys Quinn himself, and he demanded perfection in every single frame. He had always directed his own MVs. Rumor had it that he didn’t direct at first, but his nitpicking attitude often drove other directors mad. In pursuit of the most flawless result, Rhys Quinn had simply decided to become the director himself.
When the media first broke this story, many people were waiting to see him make a fool of himself. But after his MVs repeatedly won awards for Best Visuals, no one ever brought it up again.
Naomi Kenway changed her clothes in the dressing room. When she came out, she was surprised to see Ethan Shaw waiting right outside the door. "Oh, you’re still here. I thought you’d already left."
Ethan Shaw walked over and reached out to smooth down her hair. He gazed down at her, an unconscious smile spreading across his face.
"But of course. I look good in anything."
Naomi Kenway had her hair in a high ponytail. Her fair, flawless face was faintly flushed, and she wore a pale blue-green dress that made her look youthful and vibrant.
Ethan Shaw stared at Naomi Kenway for a long moment before reluctantly tearing his eyes away. "Beautiful. I don’t have much to deal with today, so I’ll stay here and keep you company while you film."
One of the scenes being reshot today required a faked kiss using camera angles. Naomi Kenway had explained the situation to Ethan Shaw beforehand, emphasizing that it was just a matter of perspective.
Despite this, Ethan Shaw’s expression soured visibly. "A reshoot? You’ve filmed it like this before? How many times?"
The rapid-fire questions left Naomi Kenway at a loss for where to begin. "Listen to me, we only filmed it once, and it was faked with camera angles then, too. I never touched him at all."
Ethan Shaw’s expression softened slightly. A moment later, he got up to find Rhys Quinn and demand that he cut the kiss scene.
The woman he yearned for was already with someone else. Rhys Quinn knew he should keep his distance, but when faced with this "lucky man," he still couldn’t help his expression from darkening. "You must be joking, Mr. Shaw. This is a professional set. I am pursuing the most perfect visual performance, and I can’t just change things on a whim because of your personal feelings."
"You wrote a plot about a secret crush. The two are friends, and because the male protagonist hasn’t seen her in a long time, he impatiently kisses her. Don’t you think that’s a bit reckless?"
Rhys Quinn was momentarily speechless. He felt that Ethan Shaw’s words were laced with barbs, but he didn’t know how to refute them.
Rhys Quinn’s agent couldn’t help but speak up for him. "It’s just a camera-angle trick. I understand how you feel, Mr. Shaw, but this is completely unnecessary. We designed this kiss scene to help the audience empathize."
"Empathize with what? By using this kind of cheap, trashy melodrama to stimulate people’s senses?"
Rhys Quinn’s agent was about to speak again but was stopped by Rhys. Frowning slightly, Rhys thought for a long moment and had to admit that Ethan Shaw had a point. He had hesitated when he first read the script and had weighed whether it was truly appropriate.
"You’re right." Rhys Quinn paused before speaking. "This kiss scene is indeed a bit out of place. It does feel abrupt."
He was the type of person who would correct a mistake as soon as he realized it, even though he was particularly annoyed about it this time.
A faint smile appeared on Ethan Shaw’s face. He patted Rhys Quinn’s shoulder and said meaningfully, "Just be sure not to get too lost in the role yourself, Mr. Quinn."

After the day’s filming wrapped up, Naomi Kenway changed her clothes and saw Ethan Shaw waiting for her outside the makeup room. He was leaning against the wall, tall and elegant, and walked over as soon as he saw her.
"Let’s go home."
Naomi Kenway replied, "Okay."
After they got in the car, Ethan Shaw fastened Naomi Kenway’s seatbelt for her.
Naomi Kenway couldn’t help but feel a little exasperated thinking about the bizarre things that had happened on set. During the shoot, Ethan Shaw and Rhys Quinn had clashed many times. They seemed to rub each other the wrong way, bickering like children several times.
"You don’t like Rhys Quinn?"
Ethan Shaw let out a soft laugh. "You’re just now realizing that? No man is going to have a good impression of his wife’s rumored love interest."
"Rumors? That was ages ago. As I recall, I’ve had almost no scandals since you went public."
"There are always a few stray ones."
Ethan Shaw suddenly raised his phone and took a picture of their hands resting close together.
"What are you doing?"
"Posting on Weibo."
"What?" For a moment, Naomi Kenway almost thought she’d misheard. Curious, she leaned her head over slightly and watched as Ethan Shaw skillfully opened Weibo and started editing a post.

[The first thing I see when I open my phone is fresh dog food. Nice, I like it. Sis, bro-in-law, where are you guys traveling?]
[So blissful, 999]
[All of President Shaw’s Weibo posts are about Nina. Eight out of ten sentences are about his wife. Definitely lovesick.]
[President Shaw in my head: "It’s dawn. Bankrupt the Warren Group."
President Shaw in reality: "So happy going home with wifey, hehehe."]
[Hahahaha, have a nice trip home!]
Naomi Kenway took a closer look and saw that Ethan Shaw’s fan engagement was quite high. She had him exit the editing screen so she could see, and it turned out he had twenty million followers.
