The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 367 - 366: Renee Jennings in a Car Accident, Life and Death Unknown
Ethan Shaw followed the address Naomi Kenway had given him to the underground parking garage, with Liam Sherman behind him.
Holding his phone, Ethan Shaw spoke to the butler. "From now on, when my wife goes out, arrange for two drivers to follow her. If one driver is suddenly unavailable, the other can take his place."
Ethan Shaw’s gaze swept the area, but he couldn’t find any sign of Naomi Kenway.
"President Shaw, you should give your wife a call and ask for her exact location," Liam Sherman suggested.
Ethan Shaw gave a slight nod. Just as he was about to dial the number, he looked up and saw Naomi Kenway and Ian Shaw scrambling out of their car.
Before he could even call out, he heard a massive explosion. The car behind Naomi Kenway burst into flames, and the rising tongues of fire looked like they would engulf her.
The phone slipped from Ethan Shaw’s hand and fell to the ground. His heart nearly stopped. An inexplicable terror seized his mind, and he sprinted wildly in Naomi Kenway’s direction, screaming, "Naomi!!"

When Naomi Kenway opened her eyes, she saw the familiar chandelier on the ceiling above her. She was in her bedroom.
Her newly-awakened mind was groggy. ’Was it all just a nightmare?’
"Nina!" An anxious voice suddenly called out beside her, followed by a child’s choked sobs, crying for his mommy.
Feeling returned to her hand, and Naomi Kenway realized a large, warm, dry hand was holding hers tightly, fingers intertwined.
"I’m not dead..."
Naomi Kenway didn’t know how long she had been asleep. It felt like a lifetime had passed.
Turning her head, she saw Ian crying by the bedside. A sense of calm finally settled over her. She reached out to wipe the tears from the corners of his eyes. When she spoke, her voice was a bit hoarse. "Don’t cry, my son."
This was the first time Naomi Kenway had ever seen Ian Shaw cry so pitifully. It was completely different from any other time he’d cried. His round eyes were swollen like walnuts, and his face looked a bit dusty and gray.
Naomi Kenway’s heart ached for him instantly. "Don’t cry..."
Her voice was still raspy and unpleasant.
Ian stood up. "Mommy, are you thirsty? Ian will go get you some water." He hastily wiped the tears from his face with his hand, but his voice was still thick with sobs.
"Oh, right..." Naomi Kenway seemed to remember something and asked anxiously, "What about Victor Vance and Nathan? They weren’t running as fast as I was. Are they okay?"
"Why are you always worried about other people? Why can’t you worry more about yourself? Aren’t you worried about your own condition?"
Ethan Shaw’s voice was slow and strained. He didn’t sound any better than she did.
Only then did Naomi Kenway notice Ethan Shaw’s condition. He looked terrible. There were dark circles under his narrow eyes, making him look haggard, and short, hard stubble had grown on his usually clean-shaven cheeks.
"Ethan..." Naomi Kenway was stunned.
Ethan Shaw raised a hand to cover his cheek and asked her, "Do I look ugly like this?"
"No. How many days was I asleep?"
"Two days."
Naomi Kenway nodded and sat up in bed. She tentatively stretched her limbs. They felt normal. There was only a slight pain in her back, but it wasn’t severe.
"Slowly." Ethan Shaw stopped her. "The doctor said you need to rest."
"Oh... What exactly is my condition? I don’t feel uncomfortable anywhere except for a little pain in my back."
Ian handed her a glass of water. Naomi Kenway took it and said, "Thank you."
"The flames were very close to you. Your back was injured. It’s been treated, and the doctor said it’s best if you lie on your side. Normally, an external injury like that wouldn’t cause someone to be in a coma for so long. You were unconscious for two days. I..." He suddenly trailed off.
Naomi Kenway nodded. "Surviving a great disaster is a sign of good fortune to come."
She looked at Ian Shaw again. "As long as Ian is okay, that’s all that matters."
After drinking the water, Naomi Kenway asked again, "How are Victor Vance and Nathan, really? I can’t rest easy. If you don’t tell me, I’ll just call them myself."
"They’re both fine, just some scrapes. The other person took a harder fall because she’s older."
"Sophia Zobel?"
"I think that was the name."
Naomi Kenway’s heart finally settled. Then, her gaze turned cold as a thought occurred to her. "I have a feeling this wasn’t an accident. The chances of a car suddenly exploding are just too slim. I suspect someone did this on purpose. I just don’t know who they were after..."
Naomi Kenway narrowed her eyes.
"I’ve already found out who it was." Ethan Shaw’s voice was bone-chillingly cold. "Nathaniel Lynch."
"Nathaniel Lynch..." Disgust filled Naomi Kenway’s eyes. "That man is so vicious and disgusting! But there’s one thing I don’t understand. It’s one thing for him to hate me and Sonny, but to not even spare his own son?"
Ethan Shaw slowly shook his head. "No matter what, I’ll make him pay the price." A sharp glint flashed in his eyes, chilling to the bone.
A phone rang. Naomi Kenway recognized the ringtone as her own.
"Hello?"
The moment the call connected, Victor Vance’s anxious, tearful voice came through. "Thank God you finally answered, Nina. You have no idea how worried I’ve been. If anything had happened to you because of me, I don’t think I could ever forgive myself."
Naomi Kenway comforted him, "I’m fine, I just slept for a while. I just heard about your situation from Ethan. Are you and Nathan okay?"
"Aunt Kenway." Nathan Lynch’s voice came from the other end of the line. He asked, cautiously and full of concern, "Aunt Kenway, are you and Ian okay?"
"We’re fine. Thank you, Nathan."
Victor Vance let out a sigh of relief on the other end. "This whole thing happened so suddenly. I’ve already called the police. If we hadn’t gotten out of the car in time, the consequences would have been unimaginable." His teeth chattered. "I can’t even imagine..."
"I think I might know who the mastermind is."
"Nathaniel Lynch," Victor Vance said, his voice firm.
Naomi Kenway was slightly surprised. "You guessed it too?"
Victor Vance gave a bitter laugh. "Besides him, I doubt anyone else wants me dead this badly. I just didn’t expect him to be vicious enough to disregard his own son. I originally suspected Renee Jennings, but I never thought..." He paused. "Renee Jennings also got into a car accident on the same day our car exploded. I heard she’s not in good shape. Her car collided with a truck, and she went into shock on the spot. I saw a news report saying she’s still in the ICU, and it’s touch and go."

「In the VIP hospital room.」
Sophia Zobel’s eyes shot open, and she began to gasp for air.
Watching over her, Lucy Summers was overcome with excitement. "Mom, you’re finally awake?"
"How... how long was I asleep?"
"Four or five days."
Sophia Zobel was dazed. "It’s been that long...? My throat’s a little sore. Quick, get me a glass of water."
The moment she reached out her hand, she froze. It felt limp and weak, with no sensation at all. Her eyes widened. "What’s wrong with my hand?!"
