Chapter 200: Chapter 200: New Task

Naomi Kenway joined Six in tidying up the house and cooking. When she saw the duck pen’s fence was broken, Naomi helped fix that, too.

Six’s eyes sparkled. "Fairy Sister, are you really a fairy sent down from the heavens?"

"You’re making me blush." Naomi smiled. "I actually studied carpentry for a bit, so mending a fence is no trouble at all!"

At five o’clock, the production team set their cameras back up, capturing every moment of Naomi bustling about and helping Six.

[Nina is as kind as she is beautiful! Waking up bright and early to help Six with her chores!]

[Everyone used to say Naomi Kenway was a diva, but now I don’t think so. She’s so easy-going and down-to-earth. How could someone like that act like a diva?]

[Renee Jennings was screaming and crying on her stream all night. It scared me so much I couldn’t sleep. You’d think she’d run into a ghost or something. Poor Mona probably didn’t get any sleep either!]

[What ghost? Renee Jennings is just a total scaredy-cat! This is why I stick to Naomi’s stream—it’s all about warm, wholesome vibes. If you ask me, Renee Jennings should go star in horror movies!]

...

Six had already packed her schoolbag. Suddenly, a faint call came from the back room. Six went inside and came out a moment later, clutching a piece of candy in her hand, her face beaming.

Naomi found herself smiling along with her.

Six clutched the candy, her face turning a little red. She glanced at Naomi sheepishly. "Was I smiling like an idiot?"

"Not at all. I’m just happy for you."

Six smiled and said earnestly, "As long as I can be with my mom, I’m happy."

Those words sounded familiar to Naomi. She couldn’t help but think of her own childhood; she often saw a shadow of her younger self in Six.

Even though they were nothing alike, Naomi always saw her childhood self in Six.

Naomi’s expression suddenly grew wistful. "Yeah. Having a mom is more than enough."

A bright voice called from outside. Six shot to her feet, saying it was her friend Tilly here to walk to school with her. She didn’t forget to wave goodbye to Naomi as she ran out.

Breakfast was delivered by the production team. The quality was a bit worse than in previous episodes. Naomi stared at her single egg, lost in thought for a moment, before finally giving it to Joelle Lynch.

"You need the nutrition."

Though only in her thirties, Joelle Lynch already had wrinkles at the corners of her eyes, and streaks of white ran through her soft hair. Her hands weren’t idle; it looked like she was mending some clothes.

Joelle Lynch took it, stunned. "Where did this egg come from?"

Naomi said with a straight face, "Six boiled it. She told me to give it to you."

As Naomi stepped out the door, she heard a "thank you" from behind her.

Joelle Lynch said, "Our hen hasn’t laid any eggs for days. Thank you."

The moment Naomi stepped outside, she saw Ian Shaw.

"Mama..."

He held out his hand, which also held an egg. "Give this to the lady inside."

"Are you full, Ian?" Naomi asked, surprised.

Ian Shaw nodded, then took Naomi’s hand and placed it on his full, round tummy. "I can’t eat another bite."

[Ian is so sweet! He was watching from outside when Nina gave away the egg, and then a moment later he offered his own. What a warm-hearted little angel!!]

[They say a child’s actions are a reflection of their upbringing. With Ian being so thoughtful, how bad can Nina really be? I hope certain people in the comments stop with the mindless trolling!]

[Such a kind mother-and-son duo. You get my likes! (Like) (Like)]

[Naomi Kenway is really playing her part well. Bringing her son in on the act... it’d be hard *not* to get famous with a script like this!]

[How can the commenter above be so vicious? Why do you love assuming the worst about people? You spend all day criticizing everyone, but who are you to judge?]

[So we’re not allowed to comment on a live show now? Even I have donated thousands to charity. Now look at Naomi Kenway. She earns so much, claims to live in a mansion and drive a luxury car, but doesn’t donate a single cent when disaster strikes. And now she’s on a show, putting on a big act over a couple of eggs? I can’t stand celebrities like this! When it comes to charity, Naomi can’t even compare to the other guests, especially not Renee Jennings!]

[Isn’t that commenter just trying to guilt-trip her? Donating is a personal choice, isn’t it? Besides, just because she doesn’t publicize it doesn’t mean she hasn’t donated!]

[Naomi’s stans are really good at defending her. She’s only acting nice on the show for fame and clout. People who use the less fortunate like this are the absolute worst!]

...

Naomi soon received a mission card. She unsealed it, crouched down, and held it in front of Ian Shaw to read aloud with him:

All guests are to proceed immediately to Hope Elementary School to begin this episode’s mission.

—The *My Supermom* Production Team

"An elementary school?" Naomi murmured.

She remembered Six saying she was going to school that morning, and wondered if this was the same one.

Naomi first asked Joelle Lynch for the school’s location. She learned that Six did indeed attend that Hope Elementary School, but the journey was long and the path was muddy and difficult to travel.

After thanking her, Naomi left the house with Ian.

The Hope Elementary School was far away, and the path had countless forks. Naomi had a poor sense of direction, and she’d already forgotten most of the route Joelle Lynch had just described.

’Oh no, how are we going to get there...’

Ian Shaw keenly sensed Naomi’s dejection. His eyes sparkled as he said, "Mama, Ian remembers! Ian remembers the way the auntie told us to go!"

Naomi was surprised, then overjoyed. She planted a big kiss on Ian Shaw’s soft, fair cheek.

[Even as an adult, my head was spinning just listening to the directions Joelle Lynch gave. Ian’s memory is incredible! Have the IQs of four-year-olds really evolved this much?]

[No way. My kid is four and all he does is watch cartoons. Ian must be a special case...]

[He can remember all those forks in the road? Stop exaggerating, seriously.]

[How could he possibly remember all that? He only heard it once? This kid is just like his mom, always putting on an act! He’ll be crying when they get lost!]

...

The commenters were all calling it impossible, but they were quickly proven wrong. The route Ian led Naomi on was completely correct, and they arrived smoothly at their destination: Hope Elementary School.

[What did they feed this kid growing up?! His memory is insane!]

[Kids from wealthy families are just built different!]

[I don’t think it has anything to do with being wealthy. I just came from Chelsea Raines’ stream, and all Jared Woods did the whole way was talk about food.]
