The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 159: Walter Ford
Jenna Shaw wasn’t being self-deprecating when she said this; it was just that her brother was truly a genius.
Ethan Shaw was a true prodigy, able to accomplish anything with ease. Jenna had never seen him worry about a single thing; he always had an air of calm composure.
She had never even considered competing with Ethan for the inheritance. She much preferred traveling the world to managing a company.
Jonathan Shaw sighed. "You and your brother really are polar opposites."
Susan Hughes spoke up. "Why are you so demanding of the children? Let Jenna do whatever she wants. It’s not like the Shaw family can’t afford it."
Jonathan Shaw could only nod. "You’re right, Mom."
Susan Hughes then went back to cooing over Ian Shaw.
Jane Chandler looked up. "Where’s Walter? Why isn’t he here yet?"
Jonathan Shaw’s expression darkened. "Walter Ford said he was too busy to make it to Mom’s birthday banquet last time. What, is he still too busy today?"
Susan Hughes also frowned slightly. "That boy, Walter... He’s not very attentive to Jenna, is he..."
"That’s not it." Jenna Shaw hurriedly defended Walter Ford. "He’s in the middle of taking over his family’s branch company, so he’s really busy... Let’s just wait a little longer."
Jonathan Shaw snorted, clearly very displeased with Walter Ford.
Jenna Shaw was so anxious that her forehead beaded with sweat. She quickly pulled out her phone to call Walter Ford.
The phone rang for only two seconds before the call was ended. He had hung up on her.
After trying a few more times, Jenna Shaw gave up and sent him a text to remind him.
Walter Ford still hadn’t arrived, so the welcome-home dinner hadn’t officially started. Still, the atmosphere was warm, and the family chatted and laughed.
Ten minutes later, Walter Ford rushed in, sweat on his forehead. "I’m so sorry, the traffic was terrible on the way here."
Ethan Shaw glanced at him. "If you knew there was a welcome-home dinner today, you should have left earlier. Do you have no sense of time?"
Walter Ford had fair skin and wore a pair of glasses, giving him a very scholarly look. Hearing Ethan’s words, he quickly agreed, "Ethan, you’re right. I’ll be sure to manage my time better next time."
Jenna Shaw jogged over and took Walter Ford’s arm. "Alright, brother, Walter’s here now, isn’t he? Let’s not give him a hard time."
She then pulled Walter to his seat.
Naomi Kenway had been staring into space out of sheer boredom. Suddenly, she frowned slightly and looked toward Walter Ford. She caught the faint scent of women’s perfume on him.
Jenna Shaw didn’t like to wear perfume; she always smelled clean and fresh.
’The perfume is extremely faint. Maybe it rubbed off on him during a conversation?’
The welcome-home dinner finally began, starting with a speech from Susan Hughes. Naomi Kenway sat in her seat and listened, the entire proceeding having almost nothing to do with her.
Partway through, Naomi received a gift from Jenna: a very stylish handbag. Naomi examined it carefully, not recognizing the brand. "Did you design this yourself?"
Jenna Shaw smiled. "I did! In my spare time, I like to tinker with strange and unusual things. I hope you don’t mind, Naomi."
"Of course not." Naomi Kenway tried slinging the bag over her shoulder and said with a smile, "I love it. I’ll use it tomorrow."
Jenna Shaw was pleasantly surprised. "I’m glad you like it."
Ian’s gift was a custom-made model airplane. It was incredibly realistic, and his name, "Ian," was engraved on the corner.
Jenna Shaw cradled Ian’s little face and asked with a smile, "Ian, do you like the gift your auntie got you?"
Ian Shaw held the model airplane and said sweetly, "I love it~"
"Then how about a kiss for your auntie?" Jenna Shaw said, crouching down and leaning her cheek toward him.
Ian Shaw hesitated, looking uncertainly toward Naomi Kenway.
Naomi Kenway smiled. "Go on, give your auntie a kiss."
Ian Shaw gave Jenna Shaw a peck on the cheek, and Jenna was practically bursting with joy. "Such a good boy! Auntie is going to buy you so many toys! So many the house won’t even be able to hold them all!"
The dinner reached its final stage. Susan Hughes said, "Jenna, you’ve been abroad for so long, so you’re probably not too familiar with the country anymore. Have your sister-in-law take you out for a look around."
She then asked, "Nia, are you free anytime soon?"
Before Naomi Kenway could answer, Jane Chandler cut in. "I don’t think you need to go to all that trouble. Naomi is so busy, we should just let her focus on her acting. I can take Jenna out for a bite and some shopping. Besides, it’s not like GPS is just for show."
Susan Hughes was obviously trying to help Jenna and Naomi get closer, but Jane Chandler was against it. She didn’t want her daughter to be corrupted by Naomi. As the saying goes, bad company corrupts good morals, and she felt Jenna should be spending time with well-mannered young ladies from other prominent families.
Susan Hughes shot her a look, her eyes showing a hint of displeasure. "Was I asking you? People of the same age have more to talk about. Besides, no matter how smart GPS is, it can’t compare to a real person." She turned back to Naomi and asked again, "Nia, dear, are you free anytime soon?"
Naomi Kenway glanced at the furious Jane Chandler and smiled. "Of course I have time."
Jenna Shaw linked her arm intimately with Naomi’s. "I’m so happy I get to go out with you, Naomi!"
Jane Chandler slammed her glass down on the table.
Beside her, Jonathan Shaw frowned. "What’s wrong? Why are you making such a scene?"
Jane Chandler forced a smile and smoothed out her qipao. She pressed a hand to her forehead. "I have a bit of a headache. I’m going upstairs." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Jonathan Shaw asked, "Should I call the family doctor?"
"There’s no need."
With that, she went straight upstairs.
The smile in Susan Hughes’s eyes cooled slightly. She retracted her gaze from the staircase. "Jane’s temper is getting worse and worse."
Before Jonathan Shaw could speak, she waved her hand dismissively. "I know what you’re going to say, but you don’t have to. I can’t be bothered to meddle in your affairs."

The wound on Jackson Kensington’s shoulder had nearly reached the bone. Due to excessive blood loss, he needed to stay in the hospital for a while to recover.
Lorraine Warren stayed with him in the VIP room, taking care of everything from feeding him to giving him massages. She attended to Jackson Kensington’s every need.
’Has she been so busy taking care of me that she hasn’t even had time to change?’
He grasped Lorraine Warren’s hand, his eyes welling with tears. The next second, he winced in pain as he accidentally jostled his wounded shoulder. "...Lorraine, marrying you is the greatest blessing of my life. The happiest thing I’ve ever done was building a family with you and having such a well-behaved, dutiful child like Jeanette."
Lorraine Warren squeezed Jackson Kensington’s hand back. "No, having you is my blessing. If it weren’t for you, I’d probably still be looked down upon by everyone."
"Jackson, is your shoulder still hurting? And don’t blame Nicole. She was just angry. We have to try to see things from her perspective. She was only standing up for her mother. We just need to be more careful next time so we don’t upset her again. What if she hits someone again next time..."
