The Villain and the Cannon Fodder’s Mother-Chapter 219: Yup! It was definitely entirely the fault of that guy! (2)
Chapter 219 – Yup! It was definitely entirely the fault of that guy! (2)
Society’s Jie-ge: Wow. Was that an invitation for us?
BingBang: Is it the one located in the resort next to Lake Dong? It’s like a 50-minute drive away. It’s very scenic out there but also very far away!
Jie Ning: It’s not that bad. It’s on a Friday anyway. No worries.
Meng Yuran turned to Lin Yiyi and asked, “Xu Jie said a round trip to that place will take up to two hours.”
The area where the hotel was located was impeccable but it not being located in the suburb was a bit of an issue.
Lin Yiyi had already thought about it ahead of time. She decided on that place anyway because she didn’t think it would be an issue.
“Let me know ahead of time how many of your friends will be coming and I’ll rent a tour bus to take all of you there and back. Just like Shanshan’s party.”
Meng Yuran, “……”
Would a tour bus really be necessary?
It was not his intention to invite a lot of people, alright?
Nevertheless, he posted it in his WeChat group chat: My mom booked a tour bus for your transportation.
All of his friends quieted down when they heard that.
That just took things to the next level!
He was, indeed, a Second Generation Rich. No, a Third Generation Rich!
As such, when Meng Yuran walked inside the classroom the next day, all forty of his classmates turned and looked at him in synchrony.
Meng Yuran, “……”
He had a bad feeling all of a sudden. He looked over at Xu Jie who sat next to him.
Xu Jie buried his face in his textbook with a guilty conscience. He refused to look up at Meng Yuran.
Em, you do realize that your behavior had already said it all?
And he wasn’t the only one who did that. The same could be said about Li Yuebin.
He curled up in a corner with a guilty conscience.
After hearing that their little buddy would be having his birthday celebration at a resort, Xu Jie and Li Yuebin, with their big mouths, had yakked and informed everybody in their class.
The more the merrier, that was the saying, right…?
The teenagers felt that it was wrong if they were the only ones who could benefit from it. They must unite all of their classmates!
Even Meng Yuran’s mother had said that he should “respect his classmates”, right?
They were but obedient teenagers!
Meng Yuran was tall, handsome, and a valedictorian. He and his three friends have always been the center of attention no matter where they went. There were even kids from other classes who’d come to peek at him from the entrance of the classroom. That ought to show exactly how popular he was!
If only he wasn’t so high and mighty all the time and deterred some many girls, he’d be going through girlfriends by the trove.
This was obviously a great chance to get closer to Meng Yuran. All of Meng Yuran’s classmates wanted very much to attend his birthday party!
All in all, everybody looked at him with their hopeful, awkward, they-have-something-to-say-to-him look whenever they ran into him whether it was during class, after class, inside of the classroom or the restroom.
They wanted to say something, but they dare not say it out loud. They wanted to ask but they worried that they’d be turned down.
After an entire day like that, Meng Yuran didn’t even have it left in him to roll his eyes.
Finally, he had no choice but to invite his classmates.
What else could he do?
He, too, was desperate!
Nevertheless, Lin Yiyi was particularly happy after he had included everybody from his class on the invitation list.
She patted him forcefully on his shoulder. “Yep, you are my son, indeed. Such a people person!”
Meng Yuran, who didn’t really want to invite so many guests, “……”
He was a people person, NOT!
This was the doings of his two cheerful and outgoing friends who bounced around in class day in and day out socializing and networking with everybody.
What was that saying again? Birds of a feather flock together.
Having two goofy buddies like them really dragged him off of his pedestal!
He was no longer the Meng Yuran in the past that everybody had to look up to. He was a much more personable school grass (hunk) nowadays.
And that was not even the end of it.
By the next day, two students from the next class, one of them belonging to the school’s basketball team and was closed to Xu Jie and the others and had also been in a game with Meng Yuran once or twice and was an acquaintance of sort, came and asked about the party by the others in their class.
The hotel was so big, what’s another few or tens of people?
Everybody their age loved to join in the fun, let alone it was a party hosted by the one coined the school hunk of his class level. An opportunity to party like this did not happen all the time.
He had already invited his entire class; it wouldn’t be that much more work for him to invite a few more!
Besides, everybody had already found out after a day that there would be a tour bus to transport them to and from the venue. What a generous gesture!
As more and more people joined, the situation became out of control.
Finally, one tour bus wouldn’t be enough to hold everyone!
Feeling that the event was quickly becoming more and more of a hassle, the more he thought about it, the more Meng Yuran felt that this was the Lu guy’s fault!
If it wasn’t for his suggestion of having a birthday party at a hotel, would he be stared at by everyone day in and day out no matter where he went?
Yup! It was definitely entirely the fault of that guy!
Lu Xun, with an innocent look, “? ? ?”
