Chapter 211 – What good was a little fresh meat? Would they have been able to skip the line and get inside? (1)
The second restaurant, with Lu Xun’s enthusiastic push, opened up shortly.
The restaurant named “Number Two” was located on the street front immediately next to Shengshi Entertainment’s building. This location was highly recommended by Lu Xun. If it ended up with few or no visitors, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to handle that.
As such, he decided to take his employees there to bring in some business for the restaurant.
Nevertheless, when the employees of Shengshi Entertainment happily arrived at the restaurant, they noticed that the restaurant did not need them to make it look good at all.
What they saw was a line that almost reached the middle of the street!
On the day of her second restaurant’s grand opening, Lin Yiyi promoted it on her Weibo page.
Number One had already been raved about on the internet with lines out the door every day. It only made sense that it would open up a second location.
Its current topicality was enough to draw the attention of public media. That, topped with advertisements toward the tail end and some promotional activities would doubtless attract a lot of those in their primary demographic.
There were quite a few discussions on Weibo already:
[Spring Time for Face Dog: I heard that it will be offering 50% off during the first week of their grand opening. Is that true? I want to go there with my boyfriend.]
[I am salted fish: I heard that food at the restaurant of the White, Rich, and Pretty are very tasty. I am so jealous of those who lived in City Nan. Will they ship their food out?]
[The glamourous and noble underwear: Guys, is that your takeaway of this? Isn’t the point that this restaurant will be visited by many stars? This is Lin Yiyi’s restaurant, alright? [facepalm]]
[Fish in a pond: Didn’t Lin Yiyi open up her own entertainment company already? So why did she open up another restaurant? The two don’t seem to have a lot to do with each other.]
[Little Dirty Cat: Her entertainment company is her career path and her restaurant is her hobby, alright? Lin Yiyi had a stealth streaming channel in the past and she’d post pictures of her cooking on Weibo daily. It was obvious that she really is good at cooking!]
Since her debut and being bashed all over the internet to the now harmonious comments under her Weibo, all of these seemed like drastic changes overnight.
Did people forget all the dirt about Lin Yiyi from years ago? Of course not!
The stars that wanted to stay in the entertainment circle wouldn’t want to offend her. The film companies who wanted to work with her wouldn’t care about those baseless rumors. The well-known directors and producers only wanted to have good relationships with her. Even paparazzi media would at most expose some harmless gossip about her romance or something along that line.
The front of Number Two Restaurant was lined with flower baskets, leaving barely any room for people to stand.
Some of them were from movie companies and others were from well-known directors such as Luo Sen, Director Chen, and their likes. But the most delighted part for those who were drawn to the restaurant either by its fame or the discount they were offering were the names of other stars and actors!
Xinri Media had invested in quite a few films as of late and had worked with many stars ranging from new actress Yao Yimeng or the new and rising Yu Yi all the way to film emperors.
Xinri Media had been doing very well lately. Their involvement in investment and production of films was getting close to the level of Shengshi Entertainment. The news of Lin Yiyi opening up a second restaurant was heard of by everyone in town and everybody wanted to demonstrate how much they cared about her, so they all sent her flower baskets. As such, it could be seen from the views by the drone that the entire place was covered with flower baskets. Even the workers from the few shops next to Number Two Restaurant came running out to look at the flower baskets that were being stacked on top of each other.
What a sight!
Lin Yiyi hid in the kitchen, intimidated by the attention that her restaurant had drawn.
