THE USELESS PRINCE-Chapter 47: Prince, Protagonist, Dragon Slayer
This was probably the first time Ash, Lucian, and Canis fought together to defeat a single opponent - Van.
Because it was his first time, he was still a bit nervous, wondering how things would turn out. Would they be able to work together? Ash didn’t know.
However, there was one thing for sure, and that was that they had to use everything they had to win.
Van was no joke, and if they let their guard down, they would definitely be killed.
Even though Ash, Lucian, and Canis were all holding weapons and Van was only fighting with his bare hands, he still felt strangely nervous.
But whatever. Right now, he had to worry about his life first.
"Canis, can you use Dragon Roar?" Ash ordered.
Dragon Slayer didn’t say anything but closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and prepared to use that Ability.
And then, he roared:
"ROAR!!!!!!"
This could be considered the loudest roar Canis had ever made up to now. It was so loud that it created sound waves strong enough to make the entire forest shake crazily.
The moment after the roar ended and the sound waves were gone, the entire forest seemed to have fallen into absolute silence.
And most importantly, Van was stopped for just a short moment.
Not letting that opportunity go to waste, Ash and Lucian immediately approached him, light but agile like the wind, leaving Canis panting behind.
Everything around seemed to hold its breath, expecting a terrible battle, where blood would flow in streams and someone would definitely die.
Lucian, who had the faster speed, was the first to make a slash. His slash was filled with anger and ferocity, as if expressing the pain he had gone through.
"ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Van screamed in pain.
Before he could move again and dodge Lucian’s slash, the blade had pierced through his clothes, leaving a deep cut from his chest to his abdomen.
Blood quickly flowed out uncontrollably, dyeing the snow Van was stepping on red.
But he still couldn’t let down his guard because Ash was only 2 meters away from him.
His sword was surrounded by tiny dots of light, creating a mysterious and beautiful image. But...very deadly.
His hand holding the sword was trembling, but he didn’t feel afraid.
Ash knew that in this battle, whoever panicked would die, so he didn’t allow himself to feel that way.
With all his might, he unleashed a devastating slash.
Unfortunately, the blade couldn’t reach Van’s body because at that fateful moment, he had used Magician’s Footstep, pushing his speed to the maximum and successfully dodging the slash.
The blade touched the air, blowing away all the layers of snow and trees in front of him
"You’re strong, Prince Ash! But unfortunately, I am stronger!"
Ash didn’t even need to look to know that Van was laughing gleefully.

What happened next could be described in one word - a one-sided massacre.
With Van’s insane speed, he continuously dodged the attacks of Ash, Canis, and Lucian. And worse, his attacks were so fast that Ash and Canis couldn’t react in time.
Lucian was still able to block a few attacks, but that was all he could do.
The protagonist had absorbed a lot of damage, so he had become much stronger. But even so, none of his attacks could reach Van.
It was so crazy that it felt like Van was playing with them.
The Useless Prince, Revenge Blade, and Dragon Slayer were like toys for Van to enjoy and throw away when he was no longer interested.
Every time Canis tried to use Dragon Roar, Van would suddenly appear right next to him and punch him hard, but not hard enough to kill Canis.
He wanted to play, but he didn’t want to kill anyone.
Or maybe it wasn’t the right time for him to kill them yet.
"It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much fun!" Van exclaimed in delight
Meanwhile, Ash, Canis, and Lucian were breathing heavily. Just standing still was a challenge for them.
This battle was indeed too much for them. Van could be considered the strongest person they had ever fought.
Ash glanced wearily at his two teammates, wondering how they were feeling.
As for him, Ash felt like his body was about to kill itself. All his muscles and organs were screaming for death.
But thanks to his strong will to survive, he was still able to hold on until now. However, the moment he fainted was only a matter of time.

’I...can only do one last slash left? What a pity...’
"Hey Ash, Canis." Lucian suddenly spoke up.
"What’s wrong?"
"Our current enemy is too strong, so for the next attack, I’ll use everything I have."
What Lucian was probably talking about was the Fury Unleashed Ability. With it, he would be able to unleash all of his rage, making all of his attacks unimaginably powerful.
To put it simply, it was like going berserk.
"Alright, I’ll use everything too." Canis continued.
Ash looked at his Sword of Dawn before deciding:
"I’ll unleash the strongest slash I can, so if you can, can you two hold him down for me?"
Lucian and Canis nodded at the same time.

The next moment, Lucian had completely changed. He had become much quieter, more distant, and colder than he had always been.
His breathing became more rapid, not following any rhythm. His eyes were filled with only madness and anger.
He looked like a wild beast, a predator that had determined its target.
A deadly and murderous aura was clearly emitted from Lucian, causing Ash, Canis, and Van to not be able to help but notice it.
Van’s smile had disappeared, replaced by a rare seriousness. It seemed like he had realized that something was wrong.
But before he could charge forward again, Canis roared:
"ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
This time it was a roar that had nothing to lose, pouring all of his remaining strength into the final roar. The ground cracked, the air shook, and Van paused for a second—just a second, but that was all Ash and Lucian needed.
Without hesitation, the two charged at Van once more, their eyes cold and deadly.
It was time for someone to die. And that person was Van.
