The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 160: Can’t You Be a Bit Cuter?_1
The handsome man curled his thin lips and already had the necklace up to her face, his low, beguiling voice said, "Let me help you put it on."
His breath sprayed close to her ear, his broad shoulders looming over her, a different kind of sensation.
Her heart suddenly tightened.
She became nervous.
Nathalie subconsciously wanted to dodge away.
But the tall man with lengthy legs blocked her way, his burning palm already pressing against the back of her neck, his low, magnetic voice seemingly right next to her ear.
"Don’t move around, it will be done in a moment."
Nathalie felt restless inside.
Her hands clenched tightly.
Her heartbeat thumped loudly.
Was this still within the scope of good friends?
But Amadeus Yancey appeared every inch the gentleman, and she truly couldn’t bring herself to voice her doubts, afraid that it would turn out to be another case of her reading too much into it, just like the last time.
Fortunately, Amadeus only helped her put on the necklace in a gentlemanly manner, making no other superfluous moves, then stepped back half a step.
His eyes slightly narrowed as he looked at her, his gaze as deep as the ocean, revealing no other intentions.
Then he spoke to her.
"By the way, can I take a photo?"
Nathalie hated having her picture taken.
She had barely been photographed from childhood to adulthood.
Her brows had just started to furrow.
But the distinguished man had already given her an irresistible reason: "Edric has fallen asleep, I want to take a photo to show him tomorrow."
"He’s been looking forward to seeing you with the necklace on."
Nathalie exhaled, relaxed her brows, and resigned herself, "I’ll stand still, you take it."
Amadeus Yancey’s rose-colored lips lifted, leisurely pulling out his phone and aiming the lens at the girl standing there at an angle.
He took one photo, then his gaze moved from the phone and he told Nathalie, "Nathalie, your expression is too stiff, can you change your pose?"
She wasn’t good at taking photos to begin with... Nathalie found it more difficult than ever, but since she had agreed, she still wanted to do well.
"Change to what pose?"
The depths of Amadeus’s eyes seemed as vast as the ocean, as enigmatic as the sky, his tone soothing, "Since it’s for a child, maybe a cuter one?"
Cuter? Nathalie was eighteen and this was the first time she had heard such a request.
She could climb mountains and sail through fires, she could darken McKinney’s network, but to act cute? Wasn’t that asking too much?
In the end, she posed like a marionette and took several photos before it was over.
After the photoshoot, she didn’t have any energy left to do other things, and after seeing off her company, she was too tired to even shut down her computer, simply closing the door and collapsing into bed to sleep.

The next day.
Nathalie had nightmares all night and arrived at school just before classes started.
She had just gotten out of the car.
When she saw the person waiting at the school gate.
Jeff Quinlan looked like he hadn’t slept all night, with a scruffy beard, the air of nobility from his previous years now replaced with weariness.
Upon seeing her, he immediately ran over, blocking her path.
"Nathalie."
He had a forced smile on his face, sullenly hovering behind Nathalie.
"You’ve come to school."
Nathalie, carrying a single shoulder bag, was very impatient, "Otherwise, am I here to go shopping?"
Jeff Quinlan was rebuffed, barely able to save face, but he needed Nathalie’s help, so he could only lower his stance and asked tentatively, "Do you know the president of Pinecone Group?"
Nathalie was somewhat surprised he knew about that.
Seeing she hadn’t directly denied it, Jeff Quinlan already had a clue and hurriedly said, "I saw you last time in the lobby of Pinecone Group."
"I need your help to arrange a meeting with Mr. Ingram, just to have a meal."
Nathalie, with a cold face, didn’t even consider it and strode past him, "I’m busy."
