The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1081: Nathalie: Tell Me Next Time, I Can Help
Especially this time, the IT association spearheaded the recognition of this domestic research achievement, which reflects an acknowledgment of the country’s IT capabilities.
Previously, he went to try and pull some strings to solve this issue, but everyone he approached was intercepted by Cubicle Group from their side and couldn’t offer any help.
Up until now, he still hasn’t figured out who Nathalie found to assist her; yet Cubicle Group surprisingly agreed to the IT association’s decision afterward. Even the arrogant and domineering behavior of the Quarles Family didn’t make a single peep this time!
Audrick mulled over it and recalled Alfred mentioning that Amadeus was also in the Illegal Zone... He instinctively thought Nathalie must have sought help from Amadeus, so he didn’t press further, mainly because it was a sensitive subject.
Nathalie, however, seemed calm. She simply picked up the sesame oil can on the side, her fair hands pulling open the ring tab of the can, and poured the oil into a bowl.
Then raising her head, under the table where her leg was bent, and beneath the brim of her hat, her strikingly beautiful eyes carried a deep, inky blackness. She glanced at the middle-aged man across from her, who had recently looked significantly more worn out. Resting her elbow on the table and propping her cheek with her hand, she squinted slightly and said, "Next time, if you run into something like this, you can tell me."
"..." Stanley stared at her cold yet audacious eyes and momentarily froze, unable to respond right away.
Nathalie picked up the chopsticks, grabbed a piece of beef, and lowered it into the bowl. Then, as though merely making an offhand comment, she added, "Maybe I can help out."
"Oh!" This time, Stanley snapped out of his daze and nodded earnestly, making a solemn promise: "Alright. I understand now. Next time, no matter what happens, I’ll definitely tell you."
He paused again, thinking about how Nathalie had specifically followed Jackson to the dangerous Illegal Zone just to find him on this occasion. His heart was overwhelmed with guilt and unease, a mix of feelings prompting him to once again make a promise firmly: "I swear, it won’t be like this again—I won’t hide things from you anymore!"
As the two were talking, Audrick’s phone suddenly rang, breaking the warm atmosphere in the room.
He furrowed his brows slightly and muttered, "Who is it?"
As he reached for his phone, pulled it out, and took a look.
Spotting the incoming caller’s number, he glanced in Nathalie and Stanley’s direction, seemingly troubled. He then pushed back his chair, stood up, and said to them, "Uncle, Nathalie, go ahead and eat first. I need to step out to take this call."
Audrick murmured a response while hurriedly walking out with his phone.
During Nathalie’s college entrance banquet, Stanley was tied up with issues related to the chip and unaware of the events unfolding in Beijing.
However, he was present at the banquet and knew all too well the absurd antics of his biological sister.
After all, they’re one family.
Nathalie’s college entrance exam results were excellent, and she successfully got accepted into Tsinghua University — her family should’ve been happy.
But somehow, his mother and Caryn had no intention of celebrating. Caryn even used an excuse that day and didn’t show up at all.
If it hadn’t been for Amadeus and his group showing up en masse, along with Nathalie’s friends, the banquet that day would have turned into a complete joke.
Audrick, in matters of interpersonal relationships, may be a bit slow, but growing up in this Circle, he’s far from clueless. He could clearly see Caryn’s hostility toward Nathalie.
It’s just that both of them are his sisters, leaving him caught in the middle and unable to mediate.
So, for this phone call, he had no choice but to step outside to answer it. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Audrick’s phone call dragged on for quite some time. By the time he came back, Nathalie had already finished most of her meal and was leaning back against the chair, a bit drowsy.
In the meantime, Stanley had chatted with her about the upcoming semester and various trivial matters of daily life.
Nathalie’s attitude was quite good — she answered each question thoughtfully and patiently.
