The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1068: Nathalie: Maybe Next Time
Nathalie Quinlan had just entered, casually closing the door behind her and returning to the spot she had moved away from earlier, her slender pale hand resting on the mineral water bottle. She didn’t immediately answer his question, instead slightly turning her head to look at the person next to him.
Amadeus Yancey noticed the girl’s line of sight as she looked over and shrugged nonchalantly, responding with laziness.
Nathalie understood that he had said nothing.
She pursed her lips, then looked at Sadam Vinson with eyebrows furrowed, pressing on his forehead with a slight headache and gave a vague answer: "Just... some matters."
"What matters?" Sadam Vinson was not focused on this; not waiting for Nathalie’s response, he eagerly and excitedly pressed: "Nathalie, are you hiding something from me?"
Nathalie Quinlan: ...
She was considering whether to explain.
Sadam Vinson’s next sentence immediately dispelled her intention.
"Why didn’t you tell me you knew Sun earlier? Do you have his WhatsApp? How did you meet him? We should invite him to hang out when we have the chance."
Nathalie looked at his excited and happy expression, her eyebrows twitching in reflex, and she swallowed back the truth she originally intended to share.
"I guess you could say I know him."
Not waiting for Sadam Vinson to ask further, she tersely and rather arrogantly stuffed her hands into her pockets, saying languidly, "You never asked me."
Sadam Vinson initially felt like she was being unkind, but then he thought about it and admitted that what Nathalie said made sense since he had indeed never asked before. Now that he knew, his joy resurfaced, and he went over to cling to her, "Boss, when will you introduce me to Sun?"
Nathalie, already holding the mineral water bottle but not yet having unscrewed the cap, looked at him and answered after a moment’s thought: "Next time."
"I’m returning to Beijing tomorrow, so next time when I have the chance."
"You’re going back tomorrow?" Sadam Vinson was quite disappointed; he had planned to take Nathalie to the auction tomorrow to gain some experience, but now that she was leaving, the news dampened his enthusiasm for Sun: "It’s not easy for you to come here, why not stay another day."
The others also looked over.
Nathalie Quinlan uttered a noncommittal hum, explaining, "No need. I’ve already finished my business here, so there’s no need to stay any longer. I should be able to leave tomorrow."
Amadeus Yancey didn’t say much, only lifted his head to ask her, "What time is your flight? I’ll take you."
He had to attend an auction tomorrow night, and during the day he was to meet with powers in the Illegal Zone, mainly people from Maybelissa, to discuss a cooperation.
But since Nathalie was leaving, he could make some time, at the very least to take her to the airport.
Nathalie, however, shook her head, quite indifferent, "I’m not sure yet. Waiting on the results from the IT association. If everything goes smoothly, I should be able to leave tomorrow afternoon. I’ll be going back with Mr. Wafford and the others, I’m not alone, so there’s no need for you to take me."
Amadeus Yancey, thinking of Jackson Wafford, Audrick Zachmann, and the others who would be there at the time, did not insist any further, his thin lips pressed lightly and after pondering for a moment he said: "Send me a message when you get to Beijing."
"Alright."
Nathalie agreed quite readily.
Soon after, she remembered what Sadam Vinson had told her about the auction they were going to for raw materials.
The girl let her raven black eyelashes fall, leaning against the table, she bowed her head and slowly took out her phone to send someone a message.

The next day.
Inside Adelle Wafford’s research laboratory, she had called her team to come at 8:30 in the morning, yet she herself arrived almost at ten, fashionably late.
The cotton shirt she wore was buttoned to the very top, making her look like a very stern, even rigid person.
She was draped in a white coat over her shirt, which did not quite match her demeanor, appearing somewhat incongruous.
