Seraphina watched Ace and Joanna bicker with each other like an old couple, and clenched her fists.

"Ace, it seems a little unnecessary for me to stand here since you’re having such a nice chat with Miss Pierce. Why don’t I leave you both to your meal? I’ll go back to the hotel," Seraphina said airily, and turned to leave.

However, Joanna caught her wrist and smiled as she said seriously, "It’s not unnecessary at all—you being here is actually very important. You can cut our steaks, pour wine for us, and even serve us dishes."

"Don’t test me, Joanna! You’re the one who should be doing these things!" Seraphina hissed and jerked her hand away.

"Who said that I should do those things?" Joanna raised an eyebrow nonchalantly.

"Ace!" Seraphina snapped.

"Who is Ace? Why should I obey him?" Joanna asked innocently.

"You!" Seraphina’s face turned as red as a tomato, and looked like she was about to explode.

When Ace realised that the two were coming close to killing each other, he said to Seraphina amiably, "Seraphina, you can come and sit near me."

Seraphina’s scowl instantly disappeared, and a sugary smile replaced it. "I knew you wouldn’t ignore me, Ace."

She smugly clung to Ace as she sat on his lap. They looked like a well-suited couple who were about to get married.

Joanna bowed her head and sipped her water gloomily.

Soon, the waiter served the dishes.

The food did not taste as strong as the fried spider they had that day. This time, the dishes looked and tasted highly sophisticated.

However, Joanna found that she had lost her appetite, and just picked at her food silently.

"Ace, I want to eat the steak. Cut it up for me, please? I want small pieces because I can’t eat much." Seraphina leaned back against Ace’s chest coquettishly and delicately pointed at the steak on the table. Anyone who heard her would feel like throwing up. Joanna shot them a vicious glare, then picked up a fork and knife and cut her steak noisily.

After an hour which felt like an eternity, they finally finished their dinner.

Although Ace did not make things difficult for Joanna, she still felt sad and dispirited. Maybe it was because she had to watch them being lovey-dovey with each other.

After Ace paid for the dinner, he turned to leave with Seraphina.

Joanna could no longer keep silent, and stood before them. "Ace, are you... just going to leave like that?"

"Why not? Do you want to go with us?" Ace raised an eyebrow and smirked arrogantly.

"No, I ate with you and was forced to watch your disgusting PDA, so you should tell me what I want to know now, right?"

"Sure." After a brief silence, he said, "Go rest first... I’ll tell you everything tomorrow morning."

"Why tomorrow morning?" Joanna asked anxiously, wondering if he would decide not to tell her.

"I can tell you tomorrow morning or not tell you at all." Ace put his hands in his pockets and said indifferently, "Don’t forget-l’m not obligated to help resolve your brother’s relationship with Taylor.’

"You..." For a moment, Joanna was speechless. ’He’s so unpredictable... He can go back on his word in a second!’ Unfortunately, Joanna had no choice but to accept it.

"Fine, I can wait until tomorrow. I’m tired anyway, so at least I can get some rest." Joanna returned to the hotel and fell asleep as soon as she got into bed. A lot of things had happened lately, and her mind was exhausted after worrying about everything.

Seraphina sprayed some perfume on her body, and a sly smile curved her lips. She was going to get what she wanted.

The perfume she was using was called Enchanted, and she had bought it at a high price using a special channel. It was said that a woman who used the perfume would become attractive to any man in the vicinity, and they would find it hard to control their urges around the woman. Additionally, if both the man and the woman used it, they would be a perfect fit.

Although this kind of trick was rather unscrupulous, Seraphina didn’t have any other options.
