Chapter 610: Chapter 603 Trap

Three helicopters arranged in a "品" formation flew rapidly along the coastline before suddenly turning and pouncing toward Djibouti City.

The helicopters skimmed over rooftops, sometimes having to gain altitude to avoid high-rise buildings on the ground, but generally, they flew just above the city’s rooftops.

This manner of flight was inherently risky, very risky indeed.

During their flight, the helicopters encountered attacks, but one advantage of ultra-low-altitude flying was the extremely brief reaction time it left for the ground enemies. Even if the enemies spotted the helicopters, they barely had time to counterattack, and firing a few shots with rifles was meaningless.

The helicopters quickly reached the airspace above the combat zone.

Slowing down abruptly, the helicopters landed directly, and then, personnel from all three helicopters jumped out from the doors on both sides of the fuselage.

As soon as they touched the ground, the battle began, escalating rapidly.

Tarta was the second to jump out of the aircraft, preceded by Fly.

Tarta raised his rifle, aiming quickly as he scanned, his search and aim simultaneous, destroying anything found.

Tarta’s gun paused, and he fired a shot, killing a machine-gunner firing at the helicopters with a single bullet.

"The Ark is directly in front of you!"

Xinghe’s voice came through the earpiece. Tarta didn’t move, but Yang Yi pointed to a low concrete building and then yelled, "Ram! Where’s the Ark?"

The double assault formation immediately advanced.

The enemy was fewer in number than expected, unnaturally so, causing Tarta to feel suspicious.

The location of the Ark must be the enemy’s stronghold, yet the defensive force here seemed too weak.

The defense had to be strong; if not in plain sight, then certainly hidden. It had to be so.

Given this situation, what would Ram do?

First, pinpoint the exact location of the target, which had been accomplished.

Next, find the weak points in the enemy’s defense. It wasn’t clear at the moment, but a single assault would test that.

Last, breach the enemy’s defense and drive straight through, ending the battle in an utterly nonsensical fashion.

The last step was the most difficult, relying on the combat power of Satan, especially Ram’s almost otherworldly marksmanship that could rapidly reverse the numerical odds between friend and foe.

Tarta could do it because he was the King of Guns.

If there were no Ram, Tarta would be the King of Guns, the King of Marksmen, at least in his younger days.

But even now, Tarta could still perform to the full strength that a sniper should.

Tarta fired twelve shots and killed twelve men. If someone knew Ram, they would think this was Ram.

Unless there was someone among the enemies who was extremely familiar with Ram, able to discern the minute difference in timing, Tarta took ten seconds to kill twelve targets at varying distances, something not more than five marksmen in the world could achieve.

Yet, Ram could compress that time within six seconds.

However, there’s an upside: those who know what Ram is capable of are either his extremely close comrades or the souls claimed by his gun.

Then the issue was resolved, as those who fell to the guns naturally had no chance to notice the few seconds of difference.

Tommy fired his weapon. He didn’t really need to fire, but Satan’s trademark long-range cannon was highly distinctive. To those familiar with Satan, yet not quite intimate with the details, the Worker Bee’s divine cannon was supposed to be an important feature to identify the Satan Mercenary Corps.

Just like the Sanitation Worker, in cooperation with Satan for many years, knew every member of Satan very well. They knew Satan had a divine gunner, a machine gun artist, a grenade-throwing star...

A superstar baseball hitter, Fly, the right-hand man of Ram.

Of course, the Sanitation Worker knew. How could the Sanitation Worker possibly not know?

So even if every member of Satan wore masks to cover their faces and bulletproof vests to obscure their builds, their identities were immediately exposed once they made a move.

Fly threw out four grenades in succession, and so his identity was immediately confirmed.

Satan had arrived.

The enemies confirmed Satan had arrived, so they immediately revealed their trump card.

Suddenly, the firepower of the enemies grew stronger. The outer walls of the gray cement buildings, seemingly intact, began to show shooting holes.

From behind the seemingly calm houses, tanks began to roll out one after another, and on the rooftops of the eerily silent houses, figures began to appear.

A series of heavy machine gun bullets hit the ground, kicking up dirt and chunks of cement.

In just a few seconds, as Satan advanced less than thirty meters, killed twenty enemies, and had just fully spread out in formation, ready to launch an assault on the gray building surrounded by layers of defensive sandbags, they were surrounded.

Completely surrounded.

Tarta was shocked because they were surrounded by the enemy, but the enemy’s gunfire was intended to stop their advance.

The heavy machine gunfire hit the ground right in front of Cerberus’s four-man team, drawing a line and clearly telling Satan that their bulletproof vests were useless, and their resistance was futile.

Moreover, the position chosen by the enemy was quite unreasonable, as less than five meters next to Tarta stood a solid house reinforced with steel and concrete, suitable for both residency and combat.

It’s better to call it a fortress guarding the enemy’s core rather than a house, but it seemed as though the enemy deliberately left this fortress to Satan.

Tarta immediately ran towards the fortress, and though their encircling enemies could open fire, not a single one did, not one.

Tarta ran inside, followed by the rest of Satan’s men.

Having previously experienced being besieged, Satan was familiar with the situation. The Water Organization witnessed Satan’s siege, so as soon as they entered the fortress, Yang Yi’s first words were, "We’ve been had."

At that moment, a loud voice resounded.

"Ram, you’re surrounded."

Yang Yi heaved a light sigh, while Tarta remained impassive. Grewatov lowered the muzzle of his rifle and said, "Clearly the enemy is prepared. What shall we do?"

Larry’s voice continued to echo in the air, his tone barely concealing his triumph.

"Ram, who would have thought? You didn’t finish me off in Malakal, now it’s my turn to finish you. Are you puzzled? Want to know why? If you come out with your weapons down, I can accept your surrender, seriously. We should be collaborating, not wasting ourselves in meaningless infighting, don’t you think?"

Tarta didn’t respond, he looked towards Yang Yi, and after a brief moment of thought, Yang Yi suddenly said, "Since we’re surrounded, and clearly cannot breakthrough, then let’s not say anything. Let the flowers bloom."
