The Ugly Duckling Of The Tiger Tribe-Chapter 170: Who’s that beauty I’m seeing?
"What?! You... You’d better stay away." I said. "I can definitely pee on my own. Jeez."
Only a dry laugh escaped his lips and he did not say anything anymore.
It’s because we did too much that I couldn’t pee. What did he mean he was going to help me? Seriously, don’t they ever get tired?
I was the one in heat and yet they don’t seem to look tired in the slightest.
I closed my eyes, desperately trying to feel the flow of the pee from my bladder and it finally came out, not after causing an irritation around my entrance.
I let out a long, shaky breath of relief as the tension in my lower body eased. The irritation stung, but it was not something I couldn’t handle.
’At least my body is starting to function like a normal living being again.’ I thought drowsily.
I may still feel the sting at times but it’ll let off eventually.
I stood up, adjusting my skirt and smoothing out the fabric.
Now that I think about it, I’m outside for the first time in days.
The air outside was crisp, unlike the damp cave, carrying the scent of pine and damp earth. I looked up at the sky, squinting against the brightness, and then caught sight of the tree branches rustling in the direction of the wind.
The sun was high, and the world seemed so much bigger than I remembered it to be.
The crisp air... Smelled of freedom for some reason.
I took in a deep breath and let it out, living in the moment that felt like freedom when Fenric cut it short with his presence behind the tree.
"Are you done?" He asked but I seethed.
"Don’t say a word," I grumbled, pushing past him and trying to ignore the slight wobble in my knees. "I feel like I’ve been through a meat grinder, and you look like you just won a marathon through the mountains."
Fenric tilted his head, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"A mara-what?"
I sighed, waving a hand dismissively. "Never mind. It just means you look too energetic for someone who hasn’t slept in five days."
Or was it six?
We had sex for five days, I slept one extra day, and then today... He should’ve slept at night, right?
I counted with my fingers but Fenric did not know what I was doing and placed his hand on mine, lowering it as he believed I was worrying needlessly.
He chuckled, and then fell into step beside me, wrapping a heavy, warm arm around my shoulders and pulling me into his side.
"It’s not energy, Arinya. It’s just satisfaction. I feel like I could outrun a cheetah beast warrior right now."
I blushed in embarrassment but shoved his face away, though I didn’t pull out of his hold.
What did he mean he could outrun a cheetah? Just because we did ’that’ for so long?
What a pervert.
"S-shut up. Let’s just eat. I feel like my stomach is touching my backbone."
He laughed.
"Yes, yes, we need to make sure Arinya eats six days’ worth of meals." He said and I cleared my throat.
"Ahem, do you want to turn me into a pig?" I asked. "I can’t eat that much."
"Of course you can’t." He said but still laughed.
What does he take me for?
We headed back to the entrance where Damar was waiting.
As soon as he saw me, he turned and slid inside, curling his massive tail as if telling me to come back to where I was and use him until I was satisfied.
Well, there’s no reason to say no.
I sat down on the coil of his tail and accepted the first piece of meat from Fenric with a hunger that I didn’t even realize I had.
I chewed, the savory juices hitting my tongue like a miracle. It tasted like heaven, really.
But then, I finally caught my reflection in the crystal.
I froze, the meat halfway to my mouth.
The green paste was completely gone. The skin on my cheeks and forehead was clear, smooth, and glowing with a healthy, rosy flush.
"Oh my!" I exclaimed. ’Who’s that beauty I’m seeing? Is that me?’
The jagged scars were nowhere to be seen. It was as if the heat had burned away the past, leaving me completely renewed.
"I really am pretty," I whispered, touching my cheek.
"You were always pretty, Arinya," Damar murmured from behind me, his chin resting on my shoulder as he watched my reflection with me. "I’m glad the scars are gone."
Just gone?
They aren’t just gone. That herb was definitely a miracle herb. It cleansed my face completely, removing all sorts of blemishes. Even the small freckles underneath my eyes were completely gone.
I literally look like snow white. Ahem, well not actually. I just look flawless on my face with rosy cheeks and nice plump lips.
Wait, no. That was a result of those two hoarding my lips so much while we were mating. It has nothing to do with the herbs.
But...
I smiled, a real, confident smile. I felt powerful, well-fed, and loved. But as I swallowed, reality started to poke its head back in.
The world around us wasn’t as simple as I was seeing it right now. There were other matters to consider.
Gram, Dani, and the rest of the rabbits had been waiting for days.
"We should probably head back," I said, wiping my hands on the large leaf Fenric had plucked.
I looked at Fenric licking his hands and then at Damar who was licking the corner of his mouth.
"What? Are you still hungry?" I asked and they both flinched.
"No, no,"
"I’m not hungry anymore."
I squinted my eyes. Why did it feel like they were trying to be considerate by lying?
I looked at the slabs Fenric had pushed to the corner.
Hm, just grilling meat one piece at a time took a lot of time and probably because of how tedious it was, they did not eat a lot.
Unless we had the entire day and all hands were on deck, we wouldn’t be able to eat an entire boar even if we caught one.
And then an idea hit me.
There was another method we could use for bigger meat and it wouldn’t take long either.
"Fenric, Damar, when it’s meal time, remind me later that I want to drive a wooden spit through a boar." I said, and they both looked at me, baffled.
"What?"
I nodded and started getting up.
"It’s exactly what I said. If you can remind me then, I’ll teach you a better and quicker way to prepare our meals, okay?"
Though they couldn’t understand what I was planning, they trusted me and nodded.
"Okay, let’s really get going now. I really need to change out of this," I looked down at my bra top. It smelled like sex too much and kept bringing back memories, ugh. "And Gram is probably convinced we’ve actually eaten each other by now."
"They won’t be expecting us so soon," Fenric said, his eyes glinting. "It’s not like we’re doing anything for them anyway. Though..." He leaned in, sniffing the air near my neck. "You still smell very much like ours."
I rolled my eyes, though my heart did a little flutter. You don’t need to remind me.
"Good. Maybe that’ll keep the ’clumsy’ ones away from you for a while." And maybe once those sly females see my ’real’ face, they’ll keep their interest in my men tucked in their ears, hmph!
I stood up, testing my legs. The jelly feeling was mostly gone, replaced by a dull ache in my hips but I could live with it.
"Alright, boys," I said, looking toward the exit. "Let’s go terrorize some poor souls, haha."
