Chapter 806: Chapter 806: Do You Love the Ignatius Leclair of the Past, or the One Now?

Kyla Zamora has been around Delphine for five or six years since her debut, watching Delphine and Ignatius Leclair grow closer, with several disruptions in their relationship always related to Jocelyn Yeager.

From the scandal at Delphine’s first movie premiere, to the near elopement incident at the charity gala that almost led to Ignatius Leclair facing a military court, and later, Jocelyn Yeager’s marriage, the falling out with the Cloud Family, even as an outsider, Kyla felt on edge. It seemed all of Delphine’s negative news was linked to this Reginald Yeager of the Yeager Family.

Even though Ignatius Leclair has lost his inheritance rights, and the Yeager Family is thriving, Kyla still strongly dislikes Reginald Yeager, always feeling he’s deceitful and unscrupulous.

The scripts Delphine chose were all sent by her, carefully selected from many available. Yet, somehow, Jocelyn Yeager would still get hold of them, showing just how many scripts Reginald Yeager had hoarded, with such sinister intent, which was distasteful.

Ignatius Leclair is still more suited for Delphine.

"Just focus on filming, I’ll handle him." Kyla said softly, patting Delphine’s hand, and then went to stop Jocelyn Yeager.

Upon boarding the ship, Jocelyn Yeager was warmly welcomed.

The man smiled without speaking. Seeing Kyla blocking his path to Delphine, he wasn’t angry and just sat calmly, watching Delphine’s filming.

He liked watching her quietly, a habit developed since his youth; watching her seemed to help him forget the bloodshed and cruelty surrounding him all these years. Only Delphine could bring him this feeling of peace.

Delphine was watched during the entire afternoon of filming, then instructed the crew to wrap up and rest. Seeing Jocelyn Yeager still there, she approached and asked plainly, "What brings you here?"

"I’m on vacation recently, heard you’re filming here and came to see you." Jocelyn Yeager smiled, stood up, and said with a smile, "This yacht is nice, shall we walk on deck?"

Delphine nodded, sensing there were things that should be clarified.

The two went up to the deck, one in front of the other, as the ship left the port, cruising slowly in the shallow sea. The sea was blue, with dots of seagulls, the vast view was exhilarating.

"If Ignatius Leclair hadn’t sealed the sea back then, we should have reached Guinea Bay, then transferred to Australian islands. Life would’ve been tranquil and stable, far different from now." Jocelyn Yeager stood on the deck, facing the wind, looking at the distant blend of sea and sky, and spoke casually.

To this day, the man did not conceal his planning and ambition.

Though Delphine had long known, hearing him mention it now still made her frown slightly, and she said calmly, "There’s no need to revisit past events. My life is quite stable now. You should let go of the past and live your own life."

Jocelyn Yeager turned distinctly to look at her, noticing her current good complexion, as pure as a young girl’s, no longer the pale shade of someone eternally without sunlight, with eyes staring back at him that were serene and accepting, like the sea, seeing through the fickleness of the world with calm clarity.

In these clear eyes, Jocelyn Yeager felt somewhat disheveled, suddenly realizing Delphine is no longer the lonely drifter; she has her own career and life.

But Ignatius Leclair is not her ideal companion; that man hurt her so deeply, why would she still turn back to him?

"Do you love Ignatius Leclair from back then, or him now?" Jocelyn Yeager suddenly asked. The man lowered his eyes, hiding the deepest jealousy and reluctance within.
